You know Micah? Kiddo is living my Dream Childhood. If dad came home every week with a new car to drive and review and I got to come along that would of been my best case scenario as a child lolol.
I drive a 2019 Volvo S90 T8 and don't recommend it to anybody so I can keep being unique on the road LOL. Honestly such a joy to own and he is right it flies effortlessly down the highway and you will be shocked how fast you are going when you look down at the speedometer.
Another great family review. Thanks Micah for doing all the Volvos! I like the Exterior styling of the S90. Ever since Volvo redid the styling from the last generation Volvos, they've always looked attractive & Swedishly kept their Volvo roots. Similar to Micah's remarks tho, I don't think i like the S90's length styling more than the shorter version's S60
This is a very handsome luxury car. I'm not crazy about the wheels, but the matte wood trim and the int/ext color combination is really sharp. Love what you guys do, keep up the good work. 😎👍
Way more stylish than the SUVs. The last hybrid Volvo sedan (if they stick to their EV only policy they're currently pursuing). Maybe the next car is the updated E90 or whatever they call it (ES90).
Seriously considering this car. Can you comment on real world EV range in pure mode? I’d be using it around town mostly on EV and the ICE on longer highway trips. Can’t find any real solid info on how accurate the 38 miles is.
I like Volvos, but there’s something about them that seems a bit tight and hard to see out the windows all the way around. It might be a trade off for safety, but not a huge fan. That said, they are excellent cars and you can do way worse. Thanks for another complete review.
@@thestonetable It really depends on the which safety metric and which class of vehicle. There is not one dominant manufacturer in the front position the way that Volvo was in the 90’s.
There's plenty of power in the current format. Powerful and economical. V6 would certainly kill the economy. Trust me, I know quite well from having a GS450h. Powerful, but no more than 25mph as a hybrid.
@MercOne maybe you need to look into what you're referring to before commenting, especially since Lexus is known for having the BEST hybrid engines particularlythe GS models. Also, turbocharged, supercharged, and 2 electric motors is the definition of luxury sport. This is 2023, not 1984 or 2000. Your comment is like saying a Tesla isn't luxury, lol.
@@DrRDW For one the GS is gone because no one was buying, particularly the hybrid version. Not sure what you’re not getting here, all 6-cylinder engines are not created equal hybrid or not. A 4 cylinder will never match a a good V6 or especially an I6 in refinement, delivery, or noise. The Lexus GS hybrid was nothing special otherwise it would still be here, but my comment was that this car needs a 6-cylinder. Not a hybrid. Tesla isn’t luxury it’s just priced like luxury. There is nothing luxurious about a car that only has a steering wheel and a screen. Maybe you don’t know what luxury is. Tesla up until about 5 mins ago can’t even properly assemble a car without it literally falling apart and or with huge panel gaps and miss matched point. As far as the 6 cylinder goes, you don’t know what an I6 would do in this car. Try to process that the I6s from BMW and Mercedes are very efficient in the cars the use them in. Often beating the completion in both efficiency AND performance. Maybe it’s you that doesn’t know what they’re talking about here. You don’t know what the efficiency of this car would be with an I6 minus all that hybrid junk and the weight it brings. Try again.
@MercOne im not disputing the benefits of a V6, but you're stuck in the past. This is the future. Efficiency is a major component of luxury now- 50+ mpg min w/ power is what it's all about. Hence, the non-existence of V8 engines these days. The V6 will be a thing of the past in the next 5 years, if that. BTW, the GS is gone because the new ES is basically a GS, so why spend more. Either way, just ride in an s90 hybrid w/400hp and limited noise, and you'll think differently about everything you said. I live in the luxury capital of America, so I'm well aware of luxury, lol.
This particular car includes the lounge package which removes the split fold rear seats since it adds rear ventilated seats. Otherwise you are correct.
Love the car but not a fan of all the chrome on it. I'd have to do a chrome delete on this. Also not a fan of the infotainment screen. The colours on it look washed out. I'd go for a TLX over this.
It's made for everywhere. This is the long wheelbase version that was made for China. It's a bit understated for China IMO. They like a lot more tech on display.
There is an interior update and it's the EX90. But people are complaining about it because it has floating screens rather than integrated ones. I think it's elegant but it seems almost austere compared to the current cars. Volvo is in the process of updating their exterior/interiors with the EX90, EX30 and more are coming. But they are electric only .
You know Micah? Kiddo is living my Dream Childhood. If dad came home every week with a new car to drive and review and I got to come along that would of been my best case scenario as a child lolol.
Funny. I feel the exact same way you do, Gene. :)
I drive a 2018 Volvo S90 T6 Inscription AWD and would highly recommend this vehicle, great review as always.

Either Micah’s arms are long or mine are short. No matter the position of the seat I can never place my elbows like that and drive naturally
Volvo had to email Micah after this review came out to confirm 100% that they did not, in fact, bang in the back of their press fleet vehicle.
The Volvo S90 has always been a very underrated premium near luxury sedan, in my opinion.
"all I could think of was hamster toilet..." can't wait to work this phrase into conversation at work tomorrow!
I love my 2019 S90 T8 inscription ❤
Flat sandwich take was on point! ❤😂

You can activate Google Assistant sayin "OK Google" not "Hey Google". You're so sweet ^^
The headlight washers deploy at a set interval of windshield washing - you can't manually wash the headlights.
I love how chaotic this format is. I’ve never watched a whole musio fam review and it’s fun!
LOVE mine! Very underrated sedan that surprises people when they ride inside it. TONS of legroom.

Agreed as an S90 owner the style is timeless to me. I would agree with the wheels, I much prefer the 20” alloys that are on my 2018 Inscription.
I put custom wheels on mine and tinted the windows. Love the car!
@tonyb7748 what size did you upgrade to?
those backseat door 'storage' chambers seem like ashtrays....i remember these in older cars. am sure there is another purpose for these.
They are sold in China as chauffeur driven vehicles and they smoke there.
I love how unique these videos are! ❤️
I think this is my dream car now.
Always funny, interesting and must see reviews:)! Thank you...
Love the car. Love the review. But this $78K sedan will be under $50K in 2 years. Definitely a car to lease!
Or pick up 2-4 years old.
The best car review I've seen in a long time. Good work.
Flat sandwich windows lol kiddo is coming for your job Micah!!! 😊 Always enjoy the family driving videos. Always fun and entertaining.
Can't wait for the Polstar BLT-EV
Understated luxury gentleman sedan. Much more elegant and classier than the german counterparts.
Way more stylish than the SUVs. The last hybrid Volvo sedan (if they stick to their EV only policy they're currently pursuing). Maybe the next car is the updated E90 or whatever they call it (ES90).
You're awesome by yourself...but your fam is amazing as well! I loved the video and I'm happy for you! The "sandwich" comment is perfect lol

Current owner of a 2020 S90… when he got the rock stuck in the brakes… I have that happen more often than you think.
Interesting. Have we stumbled on a Volvo quirk?
Great review but can you either mute when you say "Hey Google" or just not say it? It keeps activating my Google home speakers.
a question, would be helpful if u answer it. Didnt the s90 recharge ultimate t8 come with a twin-charger/turbo+supercharger
Love it. This will be my next vehicle. Love the price point as a brand new car compared to a 2-3 year old Benz or Lexus
Can you lock the rear controls on the rear passenger side from the driver’s seat?
Excellent review guys!😸

@edhcb9359 lol, so no answer. Basically, volvo is still the the overall leader in safety.
How's Lake Arrowhead??
It's still a handsome car, but it needs a 6-cylinder. For this price there are much better overall cars. Though no car has more comfortable seats.

Did we get a smell test or did i miss it cause i did watch the whole video? 🤔
We totally missed the smell test on this one.😬

Cotton gloves are required for this car.
I always think that Volvo cars are for older people like in there 60s or 70s
Volvo needs a serious interior update. It’s been the same for the past several years and it’s getting tired.
