- It´s been probably the toughest but also the most beautiful triathlon i ever made. Norseman Xtreme was so hard. Everything. The planning. The logistics. The Conditions (also we have been quite lucky). The Race itself. And i am lucky that i made that decision to start in Eidfjord, Norway.

It was a pleasure to have you in our little race in Norway. If you want to come back later and drive our ferry, it`s always room for you in Eidfjord.
You have quite a bit of buzz as the hardest race, yet on organisational level - inadequately inaccessible and failing to meet the demand. Looks like you raise interest and kill marketed "dream" as part of business. Oh, but when there's a "star" you're easily moving your years long queue.
There's a lot of other, crazier, tougher extreme triathlon races, easy to register and race within just a year. People should know about them first.
@@birdofprey108it’s not like Bobby Flay decided to do the race and Norseman let him, it’s Sebi, one of the legends of the sport. Seems a bit like unfair criticism of the race. But also, on top of it all, we all get to watch this well produced video.

Da seid ihr ja schon zu zweit. Wenn es nur um die Herausforderung geht, findet man doch viele Stellen mit kaltem Wasser und Bergen. Das kann man doch selbst organisieren. Aber wo finde ich einen Ersatz für den Elbtunnel-Marathon?
Eine wunderbare, inspirierende Dokumentation. Na mal schauen, ob du dem Norseman zukünftig widerstehen kannst, Sebi 😉

Cool video, but I don't like that you had no working front lights on the bike (which is mandatory) and took of your reflective vest which is also mandatory (ok, for the part of the course in case of the good weather), but not safe. Also on the run, why it was a bike support riding near you?!
Thank you for your comment. The vest is only mandatory for the first 23k. As is the front light in steady mode. I even putted the vest back on during the run when visibility was low. Bike support was allowed after 32k on the run and was checked before with the organizers. I had a very experienced local guide who also knows the organizers very well.
@@SebastianKienleTriathlete thank you for detailed reply! Didn’t know about the possibility of bike support and didn’t find it in the rules either.
Hope some day you will return to the @nxtri and the weather will give you possibility to finish at the top.
What an event! It takes some cyclist to overhaul you on the bike…
