Thank you for the video. I just got a MB 800 yesterday, built it and burned it off tonight. Thanks for the aluminum foil and power bank ideas! I've got 4? decent size power banks. I'm going to order that 5V > 12V cable now.

No issues to date. Ive been using it for almost a year. Just have to remember to charge it up if it hasn't been used for a while. As cheap as power banks can be if it craps out I'll pick up another.
@@S29MYB Grill works like new, I mostly smoke on it or run chicken through at 350⁰-400⁰F. Power bank will run down quicker at high searing temps but you're not usually running that high for extended periods of time. I'll take it up to 700⁰ for burn offs every now and then or after a very greasy cook.
No real upgrades. I cut a piece of webber grill grate to fit about 3 inches from the bottom of the ash pan, put foil under the hopper lid, and bought a step up cable to be able to run it off of a battery pack. CCYC DC 5V to DC 12V USB Voltage... www.amazon.com/dp/B07HQ91HHV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They start on 300w and run on 30w supposedly however the native voltage of all the components is likely 120v ao a quick no would be the likely correct answer

Do you think the power pack would work on my Traeger pellet grill?
Not sure on that. You're running an auger and a glow plug for ignition. I'm just running what amounts to a computer fan and an LCD control panel.
