I am an American who visited Cebu in 2004. I Love the Architecture of the Cebu Capitol. Very Happy to know this building will be protected. I enjoyed my time there in Cebu, I stayed at the Jacinta Pension House there, that Orange building next to the AVON building. So many amazing sites there like Fort San Pedro, the Beautiful Church there. So much Amazing History there. You have a new Subscriber now, enjoy watching your videos. Good to learned that Provincial government of cebu is moving to Balamban. Keep us updated of all economic developments in Balamban. We have about 46,000 square meters of land for sale in barangay BYANOY AND ABUKAYAN planted with mangos. Watching from Florida USA.

Try to rebuild again the capitol building so we could spend money less cos their are more problems to solve in cebu city ,like for traffic areas to be solve ,and the second problem is the flooding areas to solve and their are plenty lose lifes that happens to our areas and try to use the money in the proper way and safety first, and the capitol site building is the original building built by the original cebuano leaders in cebu city

yes pls! then convert the Capitol Bldg into a National Museum for the South. Even though the Capital of Cebu Province will already be the Municipality of Balamban, the City of Cebu will always be the Regional Center of Central Visayas and of course, the de facto capital of the whole Visayas-Mindanao area!

If they want to transfer the capitol make it sure that the roads must be wide that will not cause heavy traffic around the city or going to the city...

Para nako, it’s a waste of time and resources ang pagbalhin sa capitol building. Unahon unta ni gov ang pagpalapad sa provincial road sa Cebu, make it a 90kph 4-lane expressway with barrier at the center and fenced along both sides to make it faster and safer for both motorists and pedestrians alike. The goal is to save lives from fatal road accidents that are currently happening, and speed up traffic so that one can reach Bato port in the south in just 1.5 hours or reach Hagnaya port in the north in just an hour from Cebu city. Mass transit like railways will come later as population grows in outlying areas spurred by the opening of this expressway.
Also, I hope that the govt will require all bus, shipping and airline companies to adopt to online booking and ticketing, instead of going to offices and kiosks to buy tickets. All impediments to travel should be identified and solved to make Cebu the best travel destination of the country.
Although there is the ongoing construction of the MCEX from Naga to Danao, I agree that road expansion all the way to Bato in the south and Hagnaya to the north should be priorities and that a new capitol building may not be as necessary. Traffic being the primary cause for this move may not be convincing enough. Some capitol employees may not need to work during regular office hours, and others can be on flexible times. Office hours can also be extended and coordinated. But of course then again, they probably know what's best for their operation. So, hopefully they are responsible enough when spending people's money. Though they haven't had a good record of that. Cases in point: the now defunct Cebu Cultural Center, the Balili underwater property purchase.

The City govt could make it as an extension of Cebu City Hall.

MY SIMPLEST COMMENTS:
1. BALAMBAN IS TO FAR FROM THE CENTER OF TRADE IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU WHICH IS CEBU CITY.
2. THE ROADS FROM CEBU CITY TO BALAMBAN IS TOO RISKY FOR TRAVEL HAVING SO MANY CURVES CAUSING ACCIDENTS AND TOO NARROW WITH SO MANY LANDSLIDES.
3. A PITY TO THE POOR POOR PEOPLE FROM THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF CEBU PROVINCE.
4. WHY NOT BUILD THE SAME AND A BETTER CAPITOL IN A NEARBY TOWN LIKE SPARING A 100 HECTARE LOT OR MORE AT THE CENTER OF THE JUST INITIATED NAGA AND DANAO HIGHWAY.
5. MINE IS JUST ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY AND FAIRNESS OF LIVING CONDITIONS FOR ALL THE CEBUANOS AND NOTHING MORE.

They should make the capitol building and art building with exhibits of impressionist, abstract, and modern art of the Philippines especially the local artist and craftsmen. And they should use part of the building as a cultural center, fine arts and a cebuano philharmonic orchestra auditorium.

Capitol building is a already a landmark and part of a history in the city. It is a very classic location, especially when you look at it from a birdseye view. When I was a teenager in cebu I used to look at thecapitol building from Abellana area and I could see the capitol building in a majestic site, like the site in Washington D.C. in the U.S.. So what's the idea of moving the capitol to Balamban; what are they going to do with people who will work there, plant Camotes?

Or, the provincial govt has to find the most central part of the province...and where it is located?....the province geography can tell....to make it fair for every Cebuano coming from north, south, east, west of Cebu province...meet at the center!!!👍
When the Cebu Provincial Capitol is moved to Balamban, the latter becomes very progressive and might also separate from the province, just like Cebu City. Unya, mobalhin na pud ang Provincial Capitol when Balamban separates? Paita sa capitol, alsa-balutan lang kanunay?
