I just made one like that but instead of having it pivot where you stand, I have the pivot where the hitch is instead and have it welded solid where you stand. And I also welded on a post between the wheels with a seat on it, so I can sit or stand if I like. I have mine behind my snowblower now, so it basically a riding snowblower! Works great!
I would highly suggest packing the pivot threads with some grease and covering the whole thing with a boot of some variety. Pretty sure that's gonna be the fail point when it does go.
Make the soul key without the back wheels. You bolted directly to the back of the lawn mower. It's still swivels where your feet is. The guy that has the other lawn mowers videos something to look at he has one. It's nice he doesn't have to worry about his ankles in his knees as much as you do with wheels
Nice job but the platform you are standing on is doing a lot of twisting, this could be fixed fixing the drawbar solidly to the standing platform and have the vertical pivot at the mower end up close to your horizontal pivot.
Ousama Abdu My grandfather and father were ironworkers, and carpenters, and I grew up on a farm where we fixed and repaired everything ourselves. About 12 years ago, I got a job building houses and learned how to build a house from the ground up. That is where most of it comes from, on top of my own curiosity to learn new skills and trades. Just lucky I guess.
interesting how you use threaded bolts and those long nuts for pivot points... i never saw this before...was this your own idea or have you seen it done before? also did you figure out most of this before you started or winged it? what was the total build time ? 10 hours ? thax
I don't think I have seen this idea before, but I had this idea rolling around in my head for weeks before I started. It took me a couple of evenings to do, probably 4 hours total.
Is there any way you can put inflatable wheels on it? those might be really rigid. If you are on it long enough it could mess you up. But sweet fabrication man.
Curious to know what the longevity has been on the threaded pivot points? And approximately how many times a week it was used to get to whatever wear it has. Really nice build!
It really doesn't do any good to do it in time lapse photography because no one knows the exact dimensions of anything and the way you're doing otherwise I think it's a great idea can you use an old hand truck for making a sulky!!!!
Well done !!! I will add this to my winter fabrications for my snow blower.
Yes we dont often get bulk snow but occassionally lol
As much as it is a beautiful sulky, it is a beautiful demonstration of craftmanship taking all things into account...great job
Thank you
Interesting concept

Awesome
interesting as I am going to do it the way you did however the commercial units are made the way our friend made it.
Are you happy with that set up or would you change it?
You absolutely are one handy guy!!! The pieces of these things are insane now. I just saw one not even as nice as yours for $320
Great job. I need to make one for my Scsg.
At first I could not figure out the center of steering/pivot point/fulcrum but you darn nearly nailed it, maybe a bit long, but darn good, nice job.
Great idea and cheap or free if you have right hands.... Looks very solid and all a few dollar parts can be bought in HD or can be found in shed...
Looks great! I would have put a grease zerk fitting on the pivot / moving points.
Looks great looks like it came from the factory
I'm amazed dude, really great job! Lookd like it came from the factory
Gregory Parachojuk Thank you :)
Nice job! You make it look easy.
Damn good work! Superb video!
Thank you
I must say Bravo very well made Took A thinking mind to create this master piece
Thank you
Amazing man ...Thank you for sharing this video because im doing the same thing to my hand truck ... ty Billy
After posting the video, I shortened the tongue by about 6 inches, but I am definitely pleased with it.
Great idea. Good job also.
Thank you
Nice job
Very cool. Great job👍🏻👍🏻
I would highly suggest packing the pivot threads with some grease and covering the whole thing with a boot of some variety. Pretty sure that's gonna be the fail point when it does go.
Possibly. I did add a grease zert to keep it greased.

Wheel barrow axle to connect it to the mower with two pins
Wow some dislikes... some people just don't like sulkies! A few too many critics these days.
They can be rough on a person, but it's cheaper than buying a stand on mower.

Really great job but wheres your workbench
Nice video
Thank you

nice fab work.
kodiak wild Thank You.
Wow! great work!
Looks great my man. I'm trying to step up my handman skills. How did you learn how to get a diverse fix it all skill set?

@@HandyGuy2016 "Lucky" wouldn't be the word that I'd use sir. You're blessed with a skill set that men would love to have!!
Yeah like that other guy said I would have put zerk fittings on the pivot points
great fab and welding...also was that a flux core welder? thats the only welder i own... thax
It's a 180v mig, but it can definitely be done with a flux core or arc welder.
@@HandyGuy2016 yes just won't turn out that pretty... some good thick welds... it could never break..
Nice work. All you need now is some grass.
Worked nice this season.
If you put better tires on there you would have something good. Thought about making more and selling them? I would buy one.
does jd make sulkys for their walk behinds?
I don't believe so.
@@HandyGuy2016 I actually just called my local trigreen dealer yesterday and found out they do make a two wheel one
@scandinavianprincefourteen88 good to know.
Not bad!!

@@HandyGuy2016 thats pretty cool taking a old $30 dolly and changing it into a $250 sulky in 4 hours...
Nice

Galvans Property Care Galvan good idea.
I never run my sulkie wheels full psi. It allows for more cushion.

I only used it for about a year, several days a week. I bet it is still working good now.

Hey, he's not a dope. Yeah
@@notgivennotgiven7776 what
@@CuttaSquad it was a joke
How many hours to build?
A few lol.
good vid..
You need a work bench...eh b'y
Great job
I have no skill.
Why didnt you put a seat over the engine and move the controls ahead?
How am I supposed to know how long that piece is that your welding together read your mind
The dimensions will be different depending on the machine you build it for.
