In this video, I review the Titan Army P27A2R Gaming Monitor and give it to my friend as a surprise PC upgrade! I upgraded my friend's gaming monitor. His old monitor was a 24 inch 1080p 60 Hz monitor. His new titan Army monitor is 27 inches 1440p and 180 Hz.

I understand the word Bottleneck is not technically accurate here. But we can all agree he wasn’t getting the full use out of his PC. Let’s not argue over such trivial things.

It's perfectly accurate to call that a bottleneck. It's the ultimate bottleneck, pointless to have all that GPU, and not even able to use half it's output. 😂
@@x8jason8xhahaha you’re right! I was just trying to prepare for the inevitable negative comments. So far, the comments have been surprisingly positive!
Yeah, that would definitely be a bottleneck, just an external one. I went from 22-inch 900p 65hertz monitor to 32-inch 1440p 170hertz and it is a game changer.
@@Adam-fz6sjWow that was a huge upgrade for you!
Awesome video man, glad to see you're able to help out your friends! It's always good to give back where you can
Thank you man! Yeah it feels good to help out someone for sure.
Good on you for helping hook up a friend, image quality actually looked really good for such a low priced monitor
Thank you 🙏
I have a friend over the years have built 3 computers for no charge after i got sober i started doing it for those in recovery they needed computer skills for work or college my way of giving back nice to see you doing this for a friend you are a good friend God Bless.
Thank you! I appreciate it! Keep up the good work as well on your end! Good on you for doing the right thing and giving back! Salute 🫡
The overarching question here is: "Why doesn't Russel have any furniture?"
PC > Furniture
You can use a PC to make money to buy furniture. Just saying. lol
It’s a recently renovated basement. He is slowly adding things in there to make it a gaming den. Hence the boxes in the corner you might have seen.
W video, you’ve been my go to tech RUclipsr ever since I’ve found your channel. Really love that you were able to help your friend out with such a solid monitor 🔥🔥
Thank you! I appreciate it! These are very kind words and it means a lot!
Wow he starts the grind pretty good.Your you the best buddy someone could wish for.Seeing his Setup in this State ..he dont have to worry about a Monitor anymore.Huge shouts also too Titan Army. His eyessight will thank you later .Great Video...sad that titan army is not selling to europe
Yes, this is a fantastic first gaming PC! I wish my first gaming PC was this good! Thank you for the kind words! That means a lot! Yes, a massive thank you to Titan Army for this! No doubt! I did not know they were not selling to Europe. Wow, that is a bummer.
Good video. Congrats!
Thank you!
I have a 4070ti and also use a 1080 60hz benq monitor, I should upgrade haha
Yes! You would do well with a 1440p monitor.
4k 144Hz+ OLED is the only way to go for me. I'm on a 65" Samsung QD-OLED TV for my PC gaming monitor. I didn't start here, I worked my way up to this insanity but it's glorious. Then again I'm 40 and been playing games on my computer since Doom 2 in 1994. If I still played twitch shooters I'd probably get one of the new 32" 240Hz OLED monitors, but I don't think I could ever go back to IPS or 1440p. OLED 4k is just that awesome.
I actually agree with you. I use a LG OLED 48 inch tv for my main monitor. Once you go OLED, you can’t go back. I’ll definitely be getting a 32 inch OLED someday hopefully soon ish.
At 4K 65" your PPI is very low at only around 67PPI way too low for my taste, even lower than a 1080P display at 27" . Size of the display is VERY relevant to viewing distance and 65" is a poor choice for a PC display.
@@Battleneter I came from a 55" OLED to this 65", and I prefer the 65". PPI is irrelevant to me because I am sitting at the proper viewing distance. This TV is not my only PC display, it's what I game and watch movies on. It delivers on immersion, which is what I am after these days.
@@supralex1 "PPI is irrelevant to me"
Oooh that's not good buddy, real talk, you should go see an optometrist... no way you aren't noticing the difference in PPI between a proper monitor and a large TV. Being 1000% serious.
I like how you don't understand what "correct viewing distance" means. You stay with your tiny monitor. I've been there and done that. I like what I like. Have a nice day!
Great video!!! And what an awesome first build, great hardware combo!!! 🔥🔥🔥 That Ryzen 7 7800X3D will serve him well!
Thank you! Yes, his first gaming PC is miles ahead of what mine was lol. I wish my first gaming PC was this good! Yes, I love the 7800X3D. It's my favorite CPU of all time so far. I'm excited for the potential 9800X3D next!
Great monitor. I got the same one and it’s honestly very good for the price.
Yeah I saw your video when you launched it! Thanks man! Good to hear from you!
Fun video!
Thank you!
Whats wrong with 1080p :D i have exaclty the same setup as your friend, and i targeted 2x 180hz 1080p monitors and money is not bottleneck for me at all. I'd rather play Native 1080p then upscaled DLSS quality or FG 1440p or 4k.
I agree I prefer native. What is your PC specs?
Well, nothing wrong with 1080p. Personally though, I use a 1440p monitor on a 6800XT and 5800x3d. I also prefer not using upscaling but I do love frame generation. Smooths out the image and in single player games I do not feel much latency, but I guess that’s just me. When upscaling becomes better it will be a viable option as well, and I think we are getting there. Everyone has different preferences though and your preference is completely legit. That being said I do think that with a setup like that, you can pull off native 1440p no problem.
Dude this was a fantastic video! Love Russel man I am glad he got that upgrade. Great job giving back Erock!
Thank you so much!
She said three inches... 😂😂
Good video man, very well set up. Love your take on jt as well, 100% agree with you about the desktop feeling a little eh. Games look great though.
Keep it up man.
Thank you man I really appreciate it! And haha 🤣 I loved that part! I couldn’t cut it!
@@ErockOnTech haha 😂
What's up good to see you bro
Hey! How are you? Thanks for watching!
My PC is TUF RTX 4080 SUPER , I5 12600 NON K , 2 X 16G DDR4 32OOM/T ,STRIX Z790-A gaming wifi D4 motherboard . My monitor is 180 HZ 1080p 24 inches FAST IPS , I don't see the reason for 1440p , as the next gen GPU 4K gaming will be a new standard . The worst part of 1440p is the scaling problem , 4K you can perfectly scale 1080p video , but 1440p is totally worse experience .
If you’re happy with 1080p, then that’s fine. It’s your PC and your experience. You should use what is best for you and your needs and experiences.
Wait all that and you didn't set up his old monitor as a second monitor for discord?
I asked him if he wanted it set up. He said no. I think he is so over that old monitor man.
@@ErockOnTech anyone new wont know how good a second monitor would be. I gave my daughter an ultrawide and a second cheap monitor for discord/youtube and she didn't want it until a week in she said she could never go back.
@@doriansanchez1961I agree. Once you get a second monitor, you don’t go back.
The PIXIO monitor is 100 nits brighter and has better colors.
I’ll be honest with you. It’s a good monitor, but you can’t tell the difference in person. Now side by side, maybe. I didn’t test that. Maybe I should have. But mostly these monitors performed the same.
I died laughing😂😂😂😂😂
At the "And she said 3 inches doesn't matter. But it does." ? :)
@@ErockOnTech It makes all the difference.
@@ErockOnTech when you're 3 inches short of hitting that 'sweet spot' of hers, 3 inches is a world of difference 😜🤌🏻
Shouldnt he have waiting for the 50 series and the new amd cpus now that he is so late in the current cycle?
He waited long enough just to build this. This PC is WAY better than no PC. He was ready and that is okay. Thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate it.
Those new series in the beginning sell at msrp, so way more expensive. I think he chose well!
Damn that's the worst bottlenecking I have seen
LOL. He definitely needed an upgrade for sure!
4080 with a 1080 monitor 😂
Not anymore 😎
Ah man. Don't you hate these first-world tragedies?
lol
Bro haha he wasn't even rocking 1080p... VGA caps at 1080i. 😅
I can't believe anyone would complain about hooking up a homie stuck in 2008 resolutions lol... but internet gon internet. lol
Haha wow good point! I didn’t even think of it like that! Haha mind blown 🤯
I think 1440p high refresh rate is perfect for the RTX 4080 Super. While it can game at 4K you have to use DLSS and other upscaling techniques to have a high refresh rate experience in some newer games.
I agree! 1440p is definitely the sweet spot in 2024.
dlss q in 4k looks arguably better than 1440p native.
@@XxAtomic646xXSometimes yes. It depends on the game.
@@XxAtomic646xX It's exactly the same thing with DLSS artifacting... tf you talking about? I don't know where anyone is coming up with any arguments for factually inserting latency in to their frametime being better, but you go ahead and believe adding more tasks to the processing chain is better than not.
You're wrong about that and objectively always will be, but nVidia koolaid won't kill you, I guess. 😂
@x8jason8x no artifacting here kid. Looks like another amd fanboi who hasn't tried dlss3 🤡😂
Love this channel. There are not many strong gay men like this on youtube.
Lmao 🤣. I’m happy married to a woman and we have a son together. But glad you love the channel. Haha 😆
