FILM DESCRIPTION:
Minutes after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie's basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie's trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael's first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

I just like how Myers stares at them for a couple of seconds at first without any kind of emotion whatsoever and then just reaches out for his mask and puts it on. He knows what he is, what he must do and what he wants to do. He is not someone you can scare with numbers. It is the perfect way of telling to audience that this man is something more than a man. Just like Loomis said in the original '78 movie " I realized what was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply…evil.”

I’m not sure if Michael is self aware of what he is though… He seems to only act upon instinct, yet knows how to plan and use critical thinking when needed.

The reason why this scene is so fantastic is that more than any other scene in any Halloween movie it shows The Shape's total absence of a fear response. - He is surrounded by about 40 armed individuals and he is completely unphased.

I also feel like despite him seemingly “loosing” rather easy, was more of a trick for them to let their guard down. As why he goes down easy, only for him to kill a lot of them later.

What was getting me is how EVERYONE was choosing to engage Michael throughout the film. The firefighters, the nurse couple, Big and Little John, Allyson and Cameron...by the time we get to the mob we're like "Oh man, I can't POSSIBLY guess how this will turn out." lol
True, everyone was cheering on this scene. The problem that many had was "Why didn't they bring more guns"🤣

0:39 Props to this guy dodging Michael's knife, dude's got insane fast reflexes like he was training himself up to this moment. Also, this moment was epic when they trapped Myers in the middle of the street and gave him the beating of a lifetime after the countless killings he did in the past.

Michael reaching for his knife, in my opinion, is the scariest part of the movie. After getting shot and beaten to a pulp, and still even against the odds, all he wants to do is to continue his slice and dice 🎃
Exactly. His body may have been broken at this point but his spirit for killing has not. It's like an upside down version of a hero never giving up to accomplish his goal even when he is on his last legs.
Odds were never against him because he has demonic powers over them and wasn't gonna die from some humans

This scene is definitely intense, and the score is incredible. What really gets me is the history. Seeing Tommy all grown up and STILL trying to kill Michael, just shows what the director wanted. He wanted to be able to show the characters from the original film all grown up and show their continued struggle. Michael Myers is still legendary.

The entire movie sucked. Why would you keep the main character in the hospital the entire time away from the action? Why would the mob think the tiny bald guy was Myers? Karen’s death was unnecessary. First one was great but the writing in this one was baffling. Hopefully they redeem themselves for the last one

The music fits so perfectly here. I got chills when Michael put on the mask and tilted his head to look at the people around him. No fear, no emotions. It's like he silently taunts them, as if to say >come on, show me what you got

It’s a movie
The best thing about this scene in my opinion is the music. Taking ‘The Shape Hunts’ from Halloween 2018 and ramping it up so that it becomes even more epic. This may not be a perfect movie, but for a few seconds this is the perfect scene.
Michael Myers has always cornered his victims. He’s never had a whole bunch of people ready to unleash hell on him. That’s why I loved this

The score of this scene is so iconic and brilliant, and I would say the film's score as a whole is one of the best (if not THE best) of the franchise. I'm so glad Carpenter and his son did the music for this new trilogy, with Daniel Davies of course.

The first 30 seconds of the scene is the best! How Michael needs his mask to do the killing. How even when he's outnumbered, he still looks menacing and acting like he knows how to get out of this. Also, how the grownup kids finally get their revenge on Michael even when you know in the back of your head...."They're all gonna die..."
it's not that he needs it, it's cause doing a constant routine is what keeps him sane in his on way, this something psychic hospitals do for their patients and any small changes could make the patients excited or troubled.

This movie is more about the people in the town fighting back against Michael. People are just too dumb to realise that
I like how not a single mob person ever goes for a kill hit through the neck/brain. Just focus on hitting his torso and legs. And how the person with a gun steps forward to get into melee range before even trying to fire.
They should make a cut where someone just pops Michael from 100 yards and the credits roll.

What I love about this scene is at 0:33 Michael zeroes in on Tommy when looking around for someone to kill and it's as if he senses that he's the alpha of the group when they're making a huge circle and tommy is actually getting closer to fight Michael and Michael notices this as well.. It's as if he notices who the dominant person is out of the group and gets ready to take him out as you can see Michael turn his full attention to tommy to fight him until he gets hit from behind by the citizen of haddonfield. I like to think that Michael definitely knew that tommy was in charge of the mob and was definitely going to kill him but obviously couldn't with so many people crowding him. The Shape would then proceed to massacre everyone else in the mob before he leaves Tommy to be the last person alive to fight one on one until one of them is the last one standing and absolutely gave tommy the most brutal death out of everyone that he just killed in that group he fought

The mob beating him down scene would have been the perfect end to Michael. It would have been logical. Just a shame they injured Laurie so badly as she would probably have led the mob and finished Myers off. Instead we got Halloween Ends....😑

This scene was epic in the theater just hearing the John Carpenter theme echo and radiate the theater was both chilling and epic the way Michael just casually leaned down and put his mask on preparing for war.
While this movie had a lot of filler content - every scene with Michael was satisfying. The entire closing arc of the movie was incredible

Everyone argues that Micheal and Jason are the same. But they're not. Jason was once an innocent child. Michael never was. While he was a child, and never committed any crimes until he was 6 (or 10 in the rob zombie timeline), he still had that killer instinct. Jason didn't. Jason is a child-turned serial killer. Powerscaling in different fantasy universes like this is kinda cringe, I agree.
From what I remember reading or hearing, I think it's been said that Micheal isn't very supernatural, mystical or demonic, at least in this recent trilogy/series. When his "powers" are going to be revealed, I think it's going to be something underrated, but still semi-believable, like unique hormones or something.
The "super strength" could be explained by him having adrenaline, and the reason why he doesn't die is that he can't feel any pain. Also, nobody has tried to really effectively finish him off.
