I guess you can't always have good timing, still wonderful video. Just did this one yesterday with the family. Absolutely beautiful with all the heather starting to bloom!
Murray you are in danger of being out shone by your new hiking buddy in that hi vis pink coat🥰🐕. Lexi did so well and seems to love walking with you, we would love to see her on future videos. Really nice to see you are always prioritising her comfort and safety on the mountain too. And of course that Lexi appreciates a scotch egg like the rest of your clan😊👍 thanks for sharing really enjoyed as always
This is why it's important for nature-oriented photographers and videographers to get out as much as possible. It's a numbers game and the more you're out there the more often you'll score good conditions and better footage.
Loved this video, love Scotland 👍 but like so many videos from your countrymen filming in the mountains the clagg or bad weather rolls in. Sods law indeed stay safe atb Taff 🤠👊
I've now adopted a similar setup for walking with my dog now, so thanks for sharing your setup! Just working my way through all your videos I've missed recently. :-)
All though the weather abit misty murky, but you and the wee dog enjoyed yourselfs, sods law the sunshine started to come out when you were back down , your so lucky to have such beautiful countryside as your playgrounds, thankyou for shareing. take care luv susan x
I wish I'd thought about the carabiner dog lead trick when I had my black Lab "Kelly". I'm sure you'll have lots of great trips with your new 4 legged friend, I know I did during her 16 years, and 117 Munros!
Great video Murray, you sure kept us in suspense though. I thought it was a top secret location till you spilled the beans at the summit. Thanks for filming, Andy
Great video yet again always look forward to them! Also an awesome idea clipping your dog to yourself. Noticed alot of posts on Social Media of dogs getting lost up on the Scottish Mountains recently. 🗻
Dogs absolutely love the mountains. My own wee Beagle is almost 12 now and comes alive every time we take off up. Can be hazardous if you need to hitch them up though on the decent, always pulling much harder than I want to go down.
If you need help training your dog not to pull on the lead.... give me a shout. It’s super easy regardless of their age. My dogs love the hills too, they seem to be very happy up a hill
Lovely video Murray. So nice to see wee Lexi. I'm going to get some of those mini Scotch eggs for my dog Lollie, shes also parshal to an egg sarnie when were out in the hills 😄 Looks like a great walk and easy pathway too. Take care x
Oh how I’m glad it’s not just me 😂 Clear when you set off, cloudy af at the summit but perfectly clear again when you get a couple of hundred metres back down 🤷🏻♂️ Happens all too often.
Can’t beat a day on the hill with your wee dug👍👍 Hope to see more adventures with Lexie 🤞 Oh and yes have had just a few descents when the weather has improved dramatically.
Lexi is so full of energy. At one point she was a little pink dot ahead of you! Great exercise for both of you It looks like it was cool/cold and damp Another great video..take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
Thanks Sue - she loves coming on the mountain treks :) this was shot last year and it was cold 🥶 at the moment the weather is wonderful in Scotland :) (won’t last though !!) Take care Murray
Great video mate, we've all missed that Great shot but I imagine it was your beautiful dog that swayed this decision as she would have been cold, I have a dog and she don't like the cold 👍 next time 👍
Oh well, better luck next time Murray! I think the dog had a lot of fun, though every time I see a dog in an outdoor vlog like this I always wonder what they make of the constant backtracking to pick up cameras. Perhaps they assume their owner is extremely forgetful :)
Thanks Paul - alway nice having the dog as a companion on the hill :) think your dog may be a little bigger than Lexie but good to know he has good taste in food - love a good scotch egg :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
"Our camera has a new intelligent autofocus system..." Camera proceeds to focus on a bin and not the face in frame... Love the carabiner and lead trick, I sometimes take out my in-laws Cairn Terrier and if she's off the lead she disappears off hunting so a lead is essential, but means everything is done one handed...
I like mountain climbs with downhill sections. There was a freaky moment on the summit with a ghostly cloud thst rushed toward you. Haven’t watched for awhile but must do again
At 9:32 the blues were so beautiful, I’ve heard it referred to as the “blue hour” from some people in Norway. I’m so curious about your savory Scottish eggs that you speak of on many trips, it sounds really good. In Japan they serve savory eggs that are boiled in water from natural hot springs that turn the shells black (“onsen tomago ”). It’s so nice that you had your special furry companion with you!
You can't beat a good Scotch egg, mini or otherwise and Lexie was certainly enjoying them. Cracking video as usual Murray. We're coming up to Scotland in 4 weeks, staying in the banks of Loch Lomond, can't wait. Anyway stay safe and ATB
had something similar when i got to the top of Ben Nevis wasn't hanging around i was proper midge food lol great video as usual murray looking forward to ya nxt one stay safe m8
Yeah - sorry about that - didn’t realise I had posted two videos - the one with Ray will be out later - out on adventures at moment snd didn’t realise my mistake until a wee while ago - apologies
I walk my wee dog in the same way, OK, Humphrey is a little bit bigger than Lexie at 55kg. Have you developed the little wrist twist to avoid the lead with your poles?
Hi Alun, there are two car parks for Ben Vrackie. I parked in the slightly higher up one nearer the start of the walk for this walk :) Hope that helps Thanks Murray
I understand you completely, but to an American, hearing, “…get the boot open and get my boots on…” sounds really strange! Thanks for the look back, Murray. ATB

Another amazing video! Loved seeing more of your wee dog you take such great care of her when you're out too so nice to see ❤
Great local hill, catching up on your vlogs from out hut in Fort William after a day on the Jacobite Express.
Great adventure with the pup. Sorry you missed the views but a lovely adventure nonetheless.
Great video yet again always look forward to them! Also an awesome idea clipping your dog to yourself. Noticed alot of posts on Social Media of dogs getting lost up on the Scottish Mountains recently. 🗻
So beautiful!
Great Video, I love your Journeys and always watch your Videos, thanks for sharing
I've had the exact same hike (weather conditions) on Ben Vrackie, a bit colder with occasional heavy showers and hail.
cracking video once again I see we Lexie loved it .

You and Lexie make a good team! Must look into making some "mini" Scotch eggs.
Can’t beat a good Scotch Egg - my favourite snack on the hill :)

@@ScotlandsMountains Thank you so much
Is she a Westie looks so cute .
Was this recorded last year? Beach hedge looks a bit brown and trees look a bit bare.
Hi Andy - yeah filmed last year at start of winter before LD 2 - was a bit cold 🥶
I understand you completely, but to an American, hearing, “…get the boot open and get my boots on…” sounds really strange! Thanks for the look back, Murray. ATB
Well he’s certainly not going to open the trunk and put his trunks on,not with our Scottish weather that’s for sure 😂👍🏻
@@baggedr32mk5, trunk and trunks….brilliant! 😆
Why you bring a cat?
