I am a happy owner of the original 2014 G model. However, there are some very beneficial features of this new model. The upgraded passenger seats would finally allow us to safely transport our grandkids. The "puzzle bed" configuration we presently have is a pain to set up. Kids can sleep in a tent. The other features like quieter genset and air conditioner as well as the Truma and solar setup are game changers.
Nice that they put port to add more solar panel. I would build a 2nd rack/shelving on roof. Then I would put 5 solar panels on that rack. I would make it out of 80/20 aluminum.
The solar panels are useless at recharging the the huge lithium battery for airconditining, its mostly charged via shore power, generator and converter via driving. 2 or 3 panels are adeqaute for lighting and gadget charging, any more is bulk.
Does your company take out those 2 seats and put in closet/cabinets instead. I do not need 4 chairs because I can only use one chair at any time. I need more storage.
I think the elimination of the bench seat dinette that adds additional sleeping space is a bad idea from winnebago. Their "fix" for the poor draining shower I belive was poorly executed as well. You loose needed headroom in the shower. The new shower head is nice. I also believe the overall finish of the interior lacks compared to last year's model. New heating exhaust placement is odd as well...now it is right below a window.
I really wish they would either get rid of the sink in the wet bath or put in a fold down sink. It would give so much more room. In a van that small there is a sink very close in the galley. I really think the extra seating is useless. Where are they going to sleep? Put maybe one seat in so you can give more room. Have they changed the microwave to convection? Is the CCC still 1714 and what is the gas mileage for this model? Are there tie downs in the rear for hauling bike etc... where the folding bed is?
Great overview and really like these upgrades. Two questions - > This 2022 Travato looks to be much taller inside and lot more headroom than the Solis. Or is that just my imagination? > Can any of the Travato models be ordered with the cassette toilet?
@@DDL-n2u yea except that doesn't work if you have a pump issue. Ran into exactly that scenario last weekend. Pump had issues, cold out and dark, if it weren't for Winnebago's idiot decision to not allow city water hookup with the doors closed we would have had water in the van.

I’m looking for the grandparent grandchild type RV. Shame they did away with extra beds I guess I’m in the minority of what type most want. Don’t like the pop top as much as extra beds in the coach

Is that enough solar to run t.v. ,refrigerator, computer 24 hrs. And use microwave and electric cooker.??? I am sorry, but I didn't hear how many batteries? Are batteries lithium?
Yes, the Travato for 2022 now has automotive-grade foam insulation on the roof and sidewalls for improved thermal control. However, you will still need to winterize the plumbing in very cold temperatures during the winter
Q: IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER COUPLE WITH YOU SITTING ON THE TWO SEAT, WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO SLEEP, I WISH THE TWO SEAT CAN BE TURN INTO A SMALL BED SO YOUR GUEST CAN SLEEP
"Aluminum wheels ... they conduct less heat to save the brakes" I don't understand this. At 14:10 - the strap to open the back door from the inside - everybody's first mod in previoous years? At 15:20 - can you connect a water hose and close the door? At 18:07 - that looks like a better place for slinky storage. At 18:20 i see he's crouched on the roof. On my '20 59G there is an antenna there which he would find in a very uncomfortable position. Yeah, they compromised that whole rectangle with a stupidly placed antenna. Good to see that's fixed.
Wheels made from aluminum alloy dissipate heat better than steel wheels. The alloy wheels also have an open spoke design that allows more airflow to the brake components to help maintain optimal operating temperatures.
Actually, 2 full-grown adults sleep fine in that bed. They did when it was 3 inches narrower too. 2 full-grown adults that are pleasantly plump too. There is a video proving that. A loving couple, which is more than I can say for some of the jaded posters here.

Great review, thank you! I wonder if they would ever add a pop-up to Travato like on Solis; that would be a great feature!

Christopher, the Travato and Solis both have the same interior height of 6' 3". Unfortunally the Travato can't be ordered with a cassette toilet.
Can u put refrigerator up on top and microwave lower because microwave is safer to use when it is down low for an 8 year old height.???
Great video

So let me see if I understand this correctly. if you're at a campsite with a city water fill, then you have to sleep with the back door open?
Just fill your tank, and if you need to fill again the next day so be it
