Giving it a whack with Sonic/Tails/Knuckles/non-spinning Amy's hammer (aka hard mode) in a vulnerable area would make it fly off for a little while (perhaps eminating smoke) and each subsequent whack would add a second to how long it stayed away for, but only for that act. It would at least make it doable to fight both bosses in each act (and of course during a boss fight it would display it's standard Launch Base Zone behaviour, other than flying off for a bit when hit).

Are you sure? I'm always hesitant about introducing new bosses to my final boss. Shouldn't I at least seperate them and let them smell each other through the door first, before outright introducing them to each other?
Big Arm and the laser boss actually complement eachother pretty well in a boss fight. Could have Eggrobo in the laser mobile and Eggman in the Big Arm and it would make for a pretty intense fight
Imagine your running around Launch Base (in the normal game) and instead of going to the fake final boss to meet good old Robotman's Big Arm Boss. You reach a certain point and the sun sets and turns dark, then the menacing music starts as OUT OF NOWHERE Big Arms swoops in and takes you to th Death Egg whilst both bosses play at the same time. That would be a really creative and exciting Final Boss. Just an idea.

Looks to be mostly deleted at this point. I went through some of the object pointer list, and it seems to match the one found in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Object 93 was overwritten by the Jawz badnik unfortunately.
I was actually wrong, just because the object isn't in the object pointer list, does not mean it doesn't actually exist. The Robotnik fleeing object from Sonic 3 is still in S3C 0408/0517 along with the big Sonic object from the Sega screen in Sonic 2. There is also an unused debug mode function that allows you to call different routines in the game, it could be useful for looking for unused stuff. I'll try to make a video when I have more time.
This video is nostalgic. It reminds me of when I used to try to break the classic Sonic games (especially the Sonic 3 series) with debug mode. I found out how to do some crazy stuff.
@@mickeypinky7284 Probably the one that prevents the camera from locking at the end of the zone. The parallel zones are due to the engine compensating with the looping code that is used for VS mode racing.
