I am more excited for this album than I have been for any album in recent memory. These guys have cemented themselves as one of my top 3 bands of all time (36yo music dude, I've had many favorite bands. Microwave stands out.) What hurts the most about the record announcement is that 40% of it will already be a well-worn paperback in my mind by the time it comes out. These songs have already been played to smithereens. And that, is a me problem. I NEED MORE. Amazing work guys, I wish you great fortune.
Mom Jeans' latest album FUCKS. completely slept on, elevates that band to an entirely different level. Same with Hot Mulligan, tbh. I am also eagerly awaiting the new Remo drive record. If you still think that band needs to write greatest hits 2, just get lost.
oh and Jeff Rosenstock put out HELLMODE this year, which, if you haven't listened to that shit, you're doing yourself a disservice. a lot of these bands probably wouldn't exist without jeff :(
I should elaborate on my comment on mom jeans, I didn't realize they released a reimagining album recently. While that comfortably fits my argument of elevating the band to a different level, I was referencing their most recent original work, Sweet Tooth, which came out in 2022. I still haven't heard anyone rave about Sweet Tooth, and it's incredible. Bear Market also, coincidentally, FUCKS, may be completely slept on, and elevates that band to an entirely different level. Just a coincidence.

He chose to play guitar on the verses during the performance parts of the video so I'm sure he would not have done that had there been no guitar on the tracks. Don't see what the director had to do with that . . . just saying.
