I'm a guitar player, but I watch all of Jack's videos. I love his playing!
I thought Jack was just a guy they dragged in off the street. Turns out he's a pro! Respect!
You must have missed this then! .... ruclips.net/video/0-PdKrBH65I/видео.html
might be boring? THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED JACK
as a starting musician, its nice to see a video showing someone in their pre gig stuff. Trying to figure that stuff out on your own the first time is scary for sure. I would love more live performance vids, jack would be a great role model for kids like myself.
Good to see Jack's always be Jack even in live situations!
You are - by far - the most entertaining keyboard player to watch. Thanks.
nice to see there are still guys using just hardware, not playing off a laptop/ipad. I actually used to play off a macbook pro for ~2years but returned to hw keyboards for reliability... I saw this discussed in a forum about using mainstage/VSTs live and it was all good but i liked how the discussion ended with "use a sound-generating device as master keyboard for the ultimate backup if everything else fails" :-D
Agree
Jack - love this video.! Not boring at all. I always learn something new. Thanks buddy!
Well, I never realised little Jack was a professional keys player. I always thought that he was just a cheeky little sod that they thought would be good at doing the videos, as well as working in the shop!
Really fascinating! I've heard James Arthur's songs so many times, seen him -including Jack Duxbury - live (in the U.S.) and know the songs well - so seeing what all goes into a performance with just one instrument gives me an even bigger appreciation. Thanks! 💜
Awesome video! Keep stuff like this coming. Very practical info for us stage musicians.
Here is our Speedy Tutorial showing how to set up one sustain pedal to control two keyboards: ruclips.net/video/dm96XNmPpdw/видео.html

Jack's banging on those keys is just awesome, and therapy for the ears.
Jack is the Man!!! hahaha looks like a funny fellow too be with!
Excellent demo and a really good unintended demonstration of the only major design flaw in NORD Stage keyboards: the lack of an angled control panel. Constantly having to stoop to see what you're doing to switch controls live is a real pain in the butt if you stack keyboards like this. A simple 40 degree angled control panel would be amazing. Also, take a not from Novation and other controllers - make nob or buttons light up and allow then to be colour assignable for fast recognition.
Love it Jack! Thanks matey, really loving all the content 😎
now you make me want to go back to my piano and keyboard, jack :)
Really glad for you - Really glad. Best wishes, definitely accomplished. and congratulations on the gig.
Great video Jack. Great playing too! Always like seeing how other keyboard players deal with tech stuff. Might make for some great videos to show how to do these kind of things with other keyboards.
Roland keyboards are the only other ones, I think, but they lack physical controls for the controller stuff, unlike Nord, apparently. So menu-diving in Roland 'boards.
Never knew you could change both from one keyboard!
Right on, Jack. 👊
The most interesting of all the videos I've seen on this Andertons "sub-channel". Thanks.
I had to Google who James Arthur is, mind.
I have 2 keyboards (not Nords) and use one sustain pedal. Pedal output to a Y splitter cable then input to each board. Primitive solution but it works
duly noted, friend ;)
Awesome, love this video. Very informative and helpful. Let’s hear it for “real world applications”, very cool. Jack is a knowledgeable guy, great musician and charismatic salesman. I’m sure this will sell some Nords for you guys too, I know I’m back on the fence. 😂👊🏻🎶
My hero 😍😍😍
More like this please
Wow...cool Jack!...Enjoy.
Anyone else notice at 2:47 the lights turning off to the music?
Jason Thompson yes...
Came to the comments just for this observation :)
Yes
Really like this guy. Great keys player. Hope I'm gonna catch him some day in Anderson's. 😂
The best music demonstrater. I wish I had loads of money and talent! Sadly, I have neither. 😞
I like dis.
This is where he goes when he is not making video's (oh, and being a studio engineer!)
Rockin' bon iver cap :)
Awesome stuff!!! Would you mind to maybe share more with us what samples are used in all songs as far as pianos are concerned ??!!!!!!!
Interesting!
Ah what a set-up! Question: why do you switch to Panel A instead of using the song-mode with the (up to) 5 song parts? Keep up the good work!
Hey Jack, thanks for the very cool video. I use Stage 3 with Electro 5D. Do you use Stereo-Outs from the Stage/Electro or mono? Take care, Ralf
Where can we see you perform on stage? I’d love to check that out.
If you like this video, you might want to check out Jack in action with his Nords a couple of years back at Brixton Academy with James Bay. Older keyboards but still some very useful nuggets here too: ruclips.net/video/3Sw7YLjtsM8/видео.html
cool...had no idea Jack was a session player :)
🔝
U didn't tell about the pedal dual connection for sustain with two keys still?
I'm sorry but did anyone else notice the lights going out in time with Jack's playing?!?! 2:49
Yup, nice effect 🙂
Love these behind-the-scenes videos and also very useful info about MIDI program changes. My problem is I have a MODX on top and an Electro 6 on the bottom. How do I get patch changes to work in tandem on these? If anyone has a handy guide to MIDI patch changes that would be great.
look at the MIDI implementation manuals for each
How would I run the NE3 stereo into a ROLLS personal monitor single instrument input? Thanks
Hey Jack! What is the best amplifier for my live rig? Thomas-USA.
Hey Thomas 👋 I’m a big advocate of Active PA speakers making the best “Keyboard” amps. I always used to rock a QSC K12 for band gigs and then a Bose S1 for smaller duo/solo stuff. If you need to mix a few boards then something like the Allen & Heath Zed10fx is a great mixer that can sit on top of the speakers and also with the Active speakers you’ve also got a PA as supposed to just having a keyboard amp. Hope that makes sense and helps ✊
Given you’re the live band king of Nord why don’t you offer up a downloadable preset bank on the Nord site. Most of the artist sound banks available are pretty useless in cover bands/original situations for general use. Even just you’re top 6 would be cool. I’m sure Nord would make a deal….I would even buy it!
Also, was that D bingers on drums??
YIP
wizard
Great and brilliant Jack. Curious, do you use morphs on the Stage 3 like an FC7 pedal to control cutoff etc, or do you like to just move the knobs by hand? Cheers! 👍
(I use my hand to control my knob) 😀
Jack’s a nord guy.
Does the simultaneous patch change midi functionality work with any external keyboard or just nord? I have a kronos for 2nd keys in my set up. It's midi so I imagine it should but just thought I'd ask.
it should
Its nice to have a bit of width.....
What’s your monitor?
looks like a custom molded monitor of some kind, fancy and pricey stuff
Am I'm the only one who thinks of Alphaville Forever Young when hearing the Soft Pad
I think "Back in the high life again" by Steve Winwood. Then again, I'm old as heck.
Here is another one of these from 2016... ruclips.net/video/3Sw7YLjtsM8/видео.html
My dog
Woooowww....Program change via midi😂people did that in the eighties
Glad you were so blown away by it Lars! Thanks for tuning in and for the comment Xx
It never gets old. ;)
Korg kronos can do all that better so….
🤣
Pretty simple guy, with pretty simple gear...about 10k worth of keyboards :/
More like 4.5k, and they are hired in
Geoff Webber not where I live! A Nord stage will set you back around $6000! And the Electro 6d is $4500!
@@officialWWM ouch...Just as well the Touring company are based in the UK!
Geoff Webber yep, the joys of living on the other side of the world to where they are manufactured :/
Great talent, but I wish it wasn’t all about the slow, schmaltzy, singer-songwriter, ballady bullshit that everyone listens to today.
How about some Green Eyed Lady, or Hold Your Head Up, or Highway Star; to truly get things going?
The past 2 generations have been a lost cause. I haven’t heard any decent music on the pop scene since 1972.
Thank God for the Indi fast organ solo Gods, and Cory Henry. Without them I’d only listen to pre-1973 music.
Jack who????????!!!

@@andertonsfan3144 Calm down, no need to be rude. I think you missed my point. I want to look him up and see more of his playing, but every where on this page he is just called Jack.
He gives you his name in the first minute. Jack Duxbury
My apologies. I assumed that as he had ID'd himself at the beginning of the video, that you were making some sort of statement.
