The explanation you gave of the use of the “parental” functions between the two types was very enlightening. I believe I know my type now. I think my questioning of my Ni dominant function was due to an Ni-Ti loop I keep getting stuck in. I’m almost 40 so my Ti is probably more developed at my age and I thought I was a thinking type, maybe even a thinking dominant type but I believe I am an INFJ. I focus more on emotional analysis when I’m helping others with relationship issues and that type of advice is what others most often come to me for. It’s also very satisfying for me when I am able to help and others actually listen to me, take, and apply this advice. Thank you so much for your response to my comment! It’s a huge help!
I find sometimes looking at a person's weaknesses eventually narrows down a person's dominant function. When I started trying to type myself I thought I always was good with Ni/Fe because when I used it others would say that I've done a great job at it but everytime others were happy with my Fe I felt completely drained. I literally would come home and complain to my wife daily after good days work dealing with others. Yes my Fe has developed over the years but I haven't started working on it until my mid twenties and because of that I thought I was an INFJ... I was wrong, completely wrong 🤦♂️😁. thanks for the video
@@RevRideReason Lol'd at the mistype comment, also yea I honestly feel like type is way more fun looking at it from that standpoint. It becomes a little more serious when you look at it that way but it also means that you're taking yourself more seriously to an extent which is positive imo.
For some reason the comments about the music aren't showing however the tracks are: 1. acidbrain - FUCKIN HIGH w $OUDIERE 2. SAINT PEPSI - Just Begun 3. Green Piccolo - Hollywood 4. Cloak of Stars - hello meteor

Me too, infj wondering the same thing but i think what helped me was having the desire to understand people and their motives, the desire to be gentle when correcting people or being bothered by unhappy. Peoples emotions effect my mood so i take it that makes me infj and not intj. I pick up on moods and although i am the queen of cold shoulders and door slammings; peoples negative moods bother me especially when i think i caused it. Angry people i hide from because it destroys my inner peace i strive for.
I think I am INTJ, cause I cannot see myself as any other type. My childhood, my thoughts, my values, the way I build relantionship with humans and with myself. There is all the world in my head, much better than this one.
I satisfy myself that that one little iota grain of doubt we can never quite completely banish for long is one of our INTJ distinguishing characteristics and the forever verification must continue in spite and de spite ourselves.
hey. if you enjoy typing people, i'd like to ask if you'd want to try and type me. i'm sure you get more messages asking this of you than you'd like, so disregard if not interested!
Great video as always. GAH, that JP clip triggers me every time I hear it... I can't help but see more problems with his assumptions the more I hear it too, like apart from sex, when people eat, their lips turn red... because they're EATING, and blood rushes to their lips. So maybe we shouldn't let people eat at work either (sorry, I'm just venting).
@@ArmChairTypology Actually, that may OR may not be. Women also put on lipstick after they've had coffee/tea/water and meals because most lipsticks do wear off. I know that most men have never been to women's restrooms after lunch hour (or right after women have arrived at work, etc), but it's a typical social behavior amongst women to chat each other up after lunch while "freshening up," which includes correcting make-up. Had he asked any woman in a professional setting, he would know this. To me, this shows irresponsible Fe (and Se) use on his part.
I agree. I think INFJs are hard to type because when they present themselves to the public they becime a chameleon or change themselves a bit. Why do you say INFJ? @@fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied

Love the response man glad I could help thanks again for the question this one was fun
I appreciate how logical and straightforward you are without being brash

Just what I was looking for, trying to figure out if I'm an INFJ or INTJ myself.. thanks.

FYI it wasn't just work related either but with friends and family. I bet half if not more than half of the community are mistyped.

@Shimohira Reika Yes I definitely use Fe. My thought was more about how good is my Fe compared to my other functions, but you're right. Thank you

Oh the INTJ "style" of speech Mr Arm Chair Typology :3
Never know I could be ISTJ

The background music of this video is a too loud. So frustrating while trying to listen to some very meaningful info.

To his credit though lipstick isn't applied to signal to a guy that you've been eating lol

I got the same thing. I think I'd still go with infj just because we love that adrenaline I feel.
So, INTJ or INFJ for JP? :3
I would say INTJ. I'm an INTJ and he has a similar speech pattern that I do.
TOTAL INFJ.
