To correct something, the winner of the US Lolita Ambassador title was an active part of the community and friend to many in Texas. I was close with her at the time this all happened and was physically present when Misako picked her. I remember that from the FB Lolita releases/news page. I low-key wanted it, for meme-lord looks. And holy bananas, I REMEMBER when Lil Mama wore that dress. The *discourse* 🤣 We can't forget that every Lolita is contractually obligated to hate Gwen Stefani, too! (damn, I'm OLD 😂)
8:19 a theory I heard somewhere was that people were using it to insult the people into the fashion, and the community decided to use the term to take away the insulting power or something like that. Don’t remember where I heard that theory though.

off topic to the lolita community, but you're really pretty!! Also i have been looking about certain fashion styles for my studies, this really helped me a lot!!😊
Saw this vid in my recommended, I was watching black friday, and came to say your hair is fucking beautiful and cute! I love those tiny little curls, the lolita style just compliments it.
Hey, loving this video so far! It's really fun to hear about stuff I remember happening shared in this way~ I do have a small correction, HelloLace technically didn't actually come before Lolibrary. They were both basically being developed at the same time without knowledge of one another, and Lolibrary actually launched a couple of days before HelloLace :)

This is like nostalgia hour deluxe. Love it so much
I remember everyone wanting that Krad jellyfish dress, I had no idea that happened.
I love this take on sharing your subculture, and I learned so much!! Also, love the colors in your coord! The necklaces are a beautiful detail.
You look amazing, I love this video. The hoverloli gave me severe flashbacks lmao.
This was such a nostalgic trip. Thanks so much for chatting about these things.
ok idk anything about lolita fashion if I'm honest, but I think it's so cool and you suit it so well! I love your outfit in this video (:
I've been in the lolita community for sooooooo long that I was there when everything you talked about happened. D= The nostalgia is hitting pretty hard on me.
Also remembering all the energy it usually took to make a single DS post on eglcommsales because FB did not exist at that time...
Just to clarify : The Moitié casket did exist, but it was a simple decoration in a Moi Même Moitié corner shop in Tokyo !
I love how your style your curls with EGL! I also have natural afro curls and this coord gives me ideas on how to work them 😊 I am sad at how many of these I missed during my time away from the fashion 😭
Edit: and Omg you mentioned Doge dress!!
(damn, I'm OLD 😂)
You brought back TOO MANY MEMORIES 💀💀💀
8:19 a theory I heard somewhere was that people were using it to insult the people into the fashion, and the community decided to use the term to take away the insulting power or something like that. Don’t remember where I heard that theory though.
this was such a fun video! I remember hearing about some of these but some of them are just WILD lol! Also your coord looks lovely!!
'Amy Lee'
Me:YESSSSS EVANESCENCE
Also in brick by boring brick the lead singer of paramore, hayley williams wore a jsk
I don't know nothing about lolita fashion but your personality and your face is so cute I watched the entire thing oops
OMG I remember so many of these, thanks for the nostalgia. Subscribed!
I remember Hello Lace and I'm so sad it's gone.
Oh my god, I've been thinking about sweet rococo for years but forgot the name! Imagine if glitter tale had their interface!!
I remember so many of these, even though I don't wear lolita anymore I still loved some aspects of the community that I couldn't let go of.
Also I have to say your hair is so cute! I always struggled with how to style my curly hair when wearing lolita but seeing yours actually makes me curious to try again.
Loved the video!
I adore this video! So fun and nostalgic 🥺 I have the backwards print of Squirrel Party too 😂🎂✨
this coord is so cute I can only see the top half but I can tellll,, also great work on this vid!!!
I appreciate how much research and the thoroughness you put in your videos. I always learn a ton of stuff watching you and of course, love your energy 😍
i just stumbled across this video, oh my gosh you seem so sweet, your laugh throughout this entire video made me so happy
Im surprised that I knew things from all around the iceberg
Ready for this also your coord is giving me LIFE you look so good!
Every time you post my day gets so much better. I love your energy so much.
I enjoy the crazy Radioactive Cupcake design! Idk why... I believe bc I love green and pink together. I think it would be fun to play with the design and do some fun coords! Idk I like different and unique stuff like that print🤷🏼♀️
as someone who's just starting to know about lolita culture, this was very informing!!!
off topic to the lolita community, but you're really pretty!! Also i have been looking about certain fashion styles for my studies, this really helped me a lot!!😊
I hate SO MUCH that the Doge dress is (unironically) my dream dress, I want it so badly LMAO
Saw this vid in my recommended, I was watching black friday, and came to say your hair is fucking beautiful and cute! I love those tiny little curls, the lolita style just compliments it.
Hey, loving this video so far! It's really fun to hear about stuff I remember happening shared in this way~
I do have a small correction, HelloLace technically didn't actually come before Lolibrary. They were both basically being developed at the same time without knowledge of one another, and Lolibrary actually launched a couple of days before HelloLace :)
It was fun to reminisce on old times, thank you for making this
I immediately said 'if there is no Mr. Yan's Dreamy Contest' this could not be a complete iceberg. I'm so glad you included it.
