    Dear dr Berry
I would love to hear you talking about people like me that at age of 70 years old, I am enjoying the best years of my life thanks to you. I eat 0 carb and absolutely no processed foods. I take no medication, I work 10 hour a day, I hike for pleasure every three days a week, and on and on…. And my mother is 94 and take no medication and she also on 0 carbs. So Dr Berry let’s talk about us, the old health ones thanks 🙏 to you.

I'm right there with you. I'm 71, carnivore for 257 days and now it's my choice of lifestyle eating. It's not a fad diet, it is my terrific way of life now until my forever comes. So, yep, Dr. Berry we are a huge growing number of extremely healthy septagenarians free of medications, pain and couch potato syndrome!! Haazah to us, the 70 and over carnivore babyboomer group .

@susansancrant249 From what I understand (from Dr. Berry) I would say 50 carbs per day would be max unless you have pre-diabetes or diabetes. If that's the case, lower your intake of carbs, sugar & sugar substitutes. I have peripheral neuropathy & pre-diabetes so I stick to a carnivore diet. Don't particularly love meat or fish but at least I can eat eggs, one of the few foods that I've found with zero carbs. I'm answering your comment since Dr. Berry rarely does. I've learned so much from him, he probably saved my life. Bless you. ❤

Even when I was a strict vegan, I fed my cat MEAT. My vegan friends had some not so nice things to say about that, but I felt like it wasn't my place to make that choice for my fuzzy baby because... science. It absolutely seemed like cat abuse. Absolutely. People in rice cultures could stay metabolically healthy in the past because they were often working hard outdoors and fasting, and anything that wasn't rice in their diet was probably very healthy. Rice was just cheap carbs to fulfill the demands of the day's labor. Nowadays the opposite is true.

I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was 27 yrs old & I'm almost 47 now. The doctors put me on strong medications to prevent further damage for the last 19 years. Thirteen months ago, I decided to do Keto & IF to lose weight, get healthy & get off these medications. I've lost over 60lbs & feel younger. I'm wearing a size 10 jeans from size 18. I'm no longer taking Enbrel, Celebrex & other medications! I'm Dr. approved off all my RA & blood pressure prescriptions. My grandma had severe RA, joint damage & died from cancer. My mom died young at 64yrs old of congestive heart failure, obesity & being a type 2 diabetic. My dad died a month ago at 75yrs old from being a type 2 diabetic and he had several strokes. Australia, Victoria.
Been on the Carnivore eating plan for 35 days now after being diagnosed with pre diabetes & high blood pressure and being over weight, I wanted to drop at least 15kg to get to a healthy weight.
Already 35 days into this lifestyle change & I feel so much better. My blood sugar had now dropped to a normal range, I’ve dropped a bunch of weight & my blood pressure has dropped to a normal range.
My sleep has improved a lot, I’m now not waking during the night & now getting a good solid 7 to 8 hours sleep with no interruptions.
I initially was just trialing the carnivore diet for 30 days just to see how I reacted to this diet. But after the 30 days, I’ve seen such a dramatic change for the better in myself, that I’ve decided to continue with eating carnivore full time, this is now a lifestyle change that I’m going to continue for the rest of my life.

I agree with you Anton. I have been humiliated in public because I ate meat. At the University where I attended and worked at, there was a concert by a known vocal artist (in the 90's) and the woman who lived in a tree for two years to save the tree (I honor her for that). It was a set up for vegetarianism sermon. I whispered to a woman because I thought she maybe Native American, "What can I do in a Native American ceremony to do vegetarianism." She snapped at me outloud and the people on stage could hear and I got the evil look from them. I felt so humiliated that day. I thought the vegetarians are no better than us meat eaters spiritually. I have been working on letting go of the carb addiction I have struggled through out the years. I have lost 25-30 lbs in the last year. Thank you for posting this. You probably get harassed by well meaning gurus and people. ((hugs)) to you Anton.

Well I am the skinny diabetic. No matter how well I stuck to The recommended Diabetic diet I have extreme sugar extremes. I have an A1C of 6.1. I am exhausted, itching all over, insomnia, depressed and full of anxiety. My nails, skin and hair are poor. I have brain fog. I was eating almost all organic. And would intermittent fast.Kale caused me to be severely constipated. I have had a real resistance to eating meat cause I didn’t
      T t like hurting animals.
I am going to do the carnivore diet and see if I can get off all this medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, depression and anxiety, vertigo.etc.
I am so glad I found your site.
I will do carnivore diet as my last hope for at least a month.
      Thank you.

Charlotte Caretto Hey, congratulations and keep up the great work!
I started taking Zoloft in January, 2004 and it worked like a charm. Felt like my old self again. Well, three months ago I (finally) decided to try getting off of them.
After a ton of reading, here’s what I did: starting from 50mg per day I broke some in half and took 25mg daily for two weeks. Then broke some halves in half and took 12.5mg for two weeks. Then broke some of those in half (as best I could - they were getting pretty small by then) for two more weeks. All done, no problems or side effects.
I’m telling you this simply as my experience. I’m not recommending that you do this but maybe see how your doctor feels about it.
One more thing - I started on Zoloft for anxiety and panic attacks, not for depression. There may be (and probably is) an entirely different dynamic for someone with depression.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Best of luck to you.

Doc what you say about "starving populations" is absolutely true. I have seen this the last 50 years living and working in Asia, Africa and Latin America. These thin populations subsist on rice or corn but in a day they eat less than what an average American eats in one meal. In fact many of them eat once a day and regularly miss days. THAT is the reason they are thin.

I used to believe that my traditional food were optimal for me until I saw an A1C of 7.9 a few years before. My endocrinologist ordered a CGM Libre freestyle for me. The results were alarming. After each meal my blood glucose were spiking over 200 to 300 mg/dL . My meals were mostly rice .vegetables , legumes, meat and eggs. On the CGM I set a target peak of 140 mg/dL on every meal. On continuing experimenting for a couple of months I have finally settled on veggies , meat , olive/ coconut oil and diary fats. Following a 2 meal a day. Any grains or tubers or legumes were sending my glucose very high. After almost 18 months now I am off all medications and the A1C is settled on 4.8. Much better sleep and BMI came down to 22 from about 27.

    Good evening,
I have been told I have familial high cholesterol. My doc started me on atorvastatin, the side effects were horrendous. I was like a zombie. He told me to stop them and he would prescribe me a different type. I decided to educate myself about these and discovered they were withdrawn by Astrazenica because people were 'unexpected dying' from Rhabo!! I refused the statins and started the Keto diet 3 weeks ago. I feel the best I've felt in years and the weight is coming off! I'm in the UK and doctors here are pretty useless. They don't tell you anything, and if you ask questions the answers you get are vague. So I'll keep on with the Keto and insist they give me a printout of my results...and of course keep educating myself watching your videos. I'm 58 btw.😊

My first comment on a You tube vid for ages! Really appreciates Dr Berry's passionate and informative videos. Totally inspiring Thank you. Apologies for the length. Am on my 3rd week (as of writing) on Dr Berry:s "Proper Human Diet" "PHD" and all the initial signs are very encouraging indeed. By way of background Was diagnosed diabetic type 2 in 2000 and am soley on Metformin to manage my BG levels. In the UK the NHS, don't supply testing strips for type 2's to self monitor if not on insulin therapy so testing is self financed. Fell off the testing wagon and poor life style choices crept back in my day to day regime over the last few years.
Dr Berry's you tube channel got me to re-engage and to face up to the reality of my diabetic mismanagement lifestyle choices. Denial is s a wonderful incentive to put off until tomorrow what needs to be addressed today? Dr Berry's you tube channel got me to reengage in testing my BG again and to resume HBA1C testing in 5-6 weeks (last tested c2-3 years ago! So am taking charge/responsibility and sm sticking strictly to the rules on the PHD/ low carb/ keto diet.
I gave up on statins (Lipitor) 5 years ago and replaced them with 395.8 mg x 2 capsules of plant sterols to assist with cholesterol management. I have not kept abreast of my lipid levels in the interim.
I appreciate that the lifestyle change I have embarked upon recently will directly affect my BG levels in the short to medium trerm and will reduce my weight and improve my insulin resitance levels no end.. Does anyone know (Dr Berry?) if a plant sterols regime in place of Statins is a regime worth continuing with? until I get my lipid profile rechecked in c 6-8 weeks in the interim am unsure? From Massillon, OH. Always struggled with weight. Even on South Beach, Keto and Carnivore. I fight my ego about sugar all the time. On carnivore the cravings left during the first few weeks, but I started to crave milk and sugars. I gave in and have coffee with protein cream or zero creamer. It is helping to eat lower carbs which I struggled with the passed few years, as well. Thank you for your videos and help.

My history for the past 4 years diet-wise has been:
lost my diabetic husband to a major heart attack following 3 stents placement,
Serious reality check while grieving concerning my own health, 80 lbs overweight at that time,
Intermittent fasting omad for past few years with repeated keto fails, lost 45lbs
Broke my arm and treated pain with alcohol for a year, gained 15 lbs back, last beer on the 15th of this month.
Fully accepting that all this time I have been addicted to sugar and carbs, whilst eating salads, Etc, am seriously considering carnivore.
Thank you for the encouraging videos & all the good info. Great to hear this from a bona fide medical doctor.
PS, are you also a naturopath?
(I've often wished that humans could eat just like dogs, pellets or something that is supposed to be the ultimate human diet, just to take out the guesswork. LOL) Orlando, FL

It will make it easier to share and hopefully turn heads. Keep it up with these amazing videos. We look forward to Monday night lives and what information you are so willing to share. ❤️❤️

I've found a way to get pastured eggs from my back yard: a chicken tractor. It takes very little space, and creates tremendously healthy eggs. You can also raise your own pastured chickens and turkeys for meat, in "chicken tractors."

Oh, of course, you think it's kinder to let the chickens run completely free... where the coyotes and hawks pick them off one by one.
Believe me, my chickens live much longer in these pens than they would outside of it...
Can you imagine being eaten alive? That would be their fate, if I set them free.
