After 8 month on keto, I went from mid to low level stage 3 CKD, no more diverticulitis flare-ups, go more gout, no more frozen shoulder events, normal blood sugar, dry eyes and foot pain went away, and skin tags have disappeared. I believe there are plenty like Dr. Berry. The problem is that they cannot speak up about many things due to they work for a medical corporation that tells them what they can and cannot recommend to their patients. As well as medical and malpractice insurance keeps them from doing what the doctor thinks is best. It is the doctors that are independent that can come forth with the non conventional type medical advise and care.

I think it is especially important to have an extra measure of grace for people who disagree with us about low carb. Remember, they have been lied to for decades by authorities who are using information based on bad science or lies paid for by Big Food. They don't realize that most doctors have little to no training in nutrition. I remember the first time I heard about carnivore a decade ago. I thought it was whack and these people must be nuts. People are skeptical and that is good. Carnivores make some pretty extraordinary claims. That requires some extraordinary evidence. People who have not done a careful review of the science or who have not heard the thousands of testimonials are simply ignorant of the truth about carnivore. Dr. Berry is a hero to me because he works so hard to educate all of us and he does it with patience and understanding. People who are ignorant of the benefits of a proper human diet just need to be educated. They are not the enemy. They are just victims of the nutritional misinformation that permeates our society. As someone who has benefited tremendously from the info provided by Dr. Berry and others, I feel an obligation to share my experience with others who might benefit as well. In the end, we all make our own choices and I respect that.

Very true. Most of the time, when something sounds too good to be true, it is not true. But a keto and carnivore diet work very well to eliminate or reduce the symptoms of many autoimmune diseases and diabetes. Beside, as most physicians who promote this diet say, start slow and slowly increase the amount of fatty meat and seafood in your diet and see how you feel. No one is compelled to stay on the diet if it does not work for them.

Still have fibromyalgia/inflammation in hands and feet, rest of joints are feeling better, plus, zero allergies this spring. Amazing. I'll be having labs in a couple of months and looking for my A1c to be down from the edge, high blood pressure down, and less pain meds. I want everyone to know about carnivore but I sure get a lot of pushback, even from my pre-med daughter who has watched what I'm doing but has already absorbed the standard dietitians directions from college professors. At least she no longer is flirting with vegetarianism. I have faith I will feel fabulous again and just keep enjoying eating the food I love. Grateful. Off all my meds for a year now, except for my Armour thyroid which has been reduced 50%. I ate as much meat as I could stuff in in one or two meals a day. Once it starts crackling go ahead and turn down the stove to med low heat. Let that cook for a bit, but keep an eye on it.. LET IT BROWN on the edges before flipping.. you may have to turn the pan to make sure oil distributed even as it cooks and to make sure the edges are all getting golden.. don't be impatient! You gotta let it harden and brown a bit so med. low heat and let it cook. Like when you fry potatoes.. you put it on low & do something else for a bit so you're not tempted to flip too early. You can even turn it off if it's cast iron pan because it keeps cooking for a bit before it cools. Then, start getting the pan hot again right before you flip. Then flip! Do same w/ other side.

Sometimes people start this way of eating but keep having their processed foods and drinks because it’s hard to stop cold turkey. I think that’s when they have most of their issues not to mention they probably still take all those supplements to. 90days full carnivore has to be clean in order to know what’s what. I made that mistake 2 yrs ago when I first tried this. I’m 18months without hardly ever cheating and I have completely gotten rid of a lot of chronic issues. It takes time for those that had issues a long time

💥Regarding Dr. Lustig’s comment…💥I saw that interview as well. He said that people on meat and fat ONLY diet tend to be healthier than others because it is our ancestral diet. (I tried to link the Interview clip below but I got removed).
Nonetheless, the interviewer asked about the Carnivore diet and Dr. Lustig stated that he’s generally agnostic on diet choice, as long as there’s no sugar or highly processed foods in the diet.
But he was unequivocal in pointing out that he agrees that the MEAT and FAT ONLY diet is an extremely healthy diet!!
I believe he is appealing to those who can’t eating on such a “novel” diet as carnivore and won’t even entertain letting go of their carb addictions. So he encourages people to at least get more on a Keto diet that restricts sugar and processed foods.
And I also believe that he’s legitimate in arguing that for those non-carnivores eating sh-t food, that fiber is mainly important for breaking intestinal material down to shorter chained carbs, etc., to offset the blood glucose spike in the digestive process.
So, in short, Lustig is pro meat and fat by saying, Meat Diet = GOOD!
🔥You Can Be Perfectly Healthy ONLY Eating fatty Meat🥩🔥

Interesting that there are so many docs out there that are still telling their patients not to do keto or carnivore lifestyle. When I was at my elderly mom's doctor appt with her, we got to talking about keto and carnivore. He initially said 'Like many diets, they kind of fall in and out of favor'. I then told him my triglycerides are 58 following ketovore. Then he said, 'Yeah, too many carbs is not good. I never eat the crust on a pizza'. What is good for me is not good for thee?? He NEVER talks diet with my mom!!! I think a lot of docs look at patients as a lost cause, especially when appt after appt they come in and the weight stays the same or goes up and the doc feels the patient isn't following their advice anyway. I hope docs see the light sooner than later. I've heard Dr. Berry say he regretted giving his patients the information he did previously. Hope the rest of the docs are as big of man (or woman) to admit that and change their ways/advice.
