Scary waves! I witnessed a cruise ship going straight into a wave the way surfers do with cameras. The ship was 10 stories high! We wee caught in the bermuda triangle.

There were free evacuation buses to take low income people off Key West and shelters for them further north in Florida. They could have left if they had really wanted to do so. I feel sorry for the children whose parents chose not to evacuate them to a place of safety. If the NOAA predictions of high storm surges are correct, most of the bars and restaurants on Key West will be crushed. Cannot believe people are willing to risk their lives to try and save a business that is likely to get a direct hit from a storm surge.
Willing to risk their lives for a business.....Do you know how it is to live in america and be middle aged and broke because you lost a business? You are in a world of hurt without money. How about starting over financially in your 30's and 40's?
Oh my goodness they been telling them to evacuate and there not listen. And where is the parents of that kid watching the high waves think is fun. Ok understand no money for travel. C'mon go to the safe shelter and stay there.
Low Income? My friend from there just spent one thousand buks buying supplies and an inflatable boat! She and her fam didn't want to go through the evacuation mayhem and risk being stranded or turned away etc.
