The shot through the scope is based off a story about US Marine Sniper Carlos Hathcock when he took a shot based on the glint from an enemy sniper. The crazy part is, in theory, if he saw the glint, the enemy likely also had him in his crosshairs as well. It came down to who shot first & Carlos Hathcock came out on top

I've still got a disc copy of the first sniper elite for xbox (the old original xbox) it was the first shooter I'd played with real bullet physics, got se5 and was so happy with myself for pulling a 560m head shot on this spy school mission....lol Yeah found out people are hitting 2000m 😂😅
Sniper Elite 5 is also pretty unpolished at times. Animation glitches and such. I'm also bothered how hard it is to register scope shot in SE5. Like it's almost impossible even if aimed down correctly due to weird animations-Hitbox NPC's have. In SE4 I rarely encounter bugs. And scope shot is usually pretty easy to do and pretty consistent hitbox.
This might sound rough, but this must be a good relief for those with PTSD, the skills just come flooding back for Grandpa, thank you for your service, TOP G ❤
Number one: welrod is the best pistol number two: you can hold your breath in the game to make it easier. But you dont need to know these tips it seems because dang

The scope scene in saving private ryan was based on a true story about the U.S sniper nicknamed "White Feather" (because he wore a white feather on his hat to "give the enemy a chance to spot him") in Vietnam. He was being hunted by a Female Vietnamese sniper nicknamed "Cobra" (Idk the origin of that nickname) where they had both sighted each other in with their rifles and the white feather killed cobra through their scope. Pretty cool fact

Sniper elite is so good for those slowmo shots. Used to play the first one with my brother. Every time the slowmo started, we all stood up and and stared at the screen. At first in silence, but the further it went, the louder we got.
@@AdderTude just hope you do that only when playing the campaign solo...I've had to deal with many players who host co-op campaign missions with the slow mo set at max, and a mission that could be cleared in 20 minutes ends up taking an hour cause of 150 damn slowmo instances, which not only waste time, but get damn boring and repetitive real quick if you have them trigger on EVERY damn kill.
As a army sniper, I can tell you that from 2+ is very impressive. I did 2 tours and never hit anything like this before. even tho this is a video game still pretty impressive and shows how much skill that Gramps have. Much love from the army grandpa. keep it up and making fantastic videos

The one going through the scope reminds me of a story. Some relative I had was on the eastern front, and he was a tank operator. He couldn't see, and decided to peek his head out the tank. He was looking for through a pair of binoculars, when a Soviet sniper shot him. The bullet hit the binoculars, but didn't go into his eye, however, the pressure in the part of the binoculars that had been hit took his eye out.

Welrod is not as good since helmet protect their head from non piercing pistol bullet in 5.
But it is still the quietest gun.
@@George-jw4cx you can aim at the base of the neck with the welrod which isnt incredibly consistent but it bypasses the helmet when you get it right
