Grand Slam and Hawk with their trailer weapons were my first ARAH figs. I wanted to get the Vamp w Clutch and Snakeeyes but they didn’t have them. But those two still remain my two of my favorites. My little bro got the Mobat w Steeler. Good times :-)
Statically, He’s one of the most lethal Joes on the roster. It’s a shame that he have a bigger role other than being one of the most colorful toys. I played him the least since he was one of the celebrated. Anyway, Great video!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bub keep it up and never stop showing the knowledge of the joes and showing the real deal with it. I hope the kids watch the vids and become the real deal!!!
Jesse. You hit this one out of the park with bases loaded. For a Grand Slam! Thank you for doing this one, I have been waiting for. Would like to see video's for Clutch And Law & Order. You are awesome!
I've been enjoying these character profile videos of the G.I.JOE & Cobra characters, and I've been listening to the character profiles of the original 1982 G.I.JOEs. Is there any chance of you making profile videos of Flash, Short Fuse and Zap? I am primarily a fan of the Sunbow cartoon and I am hoping you'll make vids of all the characters who were in the Sunbow series.
They need to have a total reboot with all the properties and all their ideas coming in at certian points in each one of the properties and have 1 cohesive universe.
It would be a lot simpler for us as readers to have just one continuity but I don't think Larry has any interest in bringing in anything he didn't write unfortunately
Yeah, to tell you the truth, I went back and forth on this one. Steeler is usually the lift operator. Ultimately I went with GS due to the one panel where i didn't see lift controls near Steeler. It's hard to tell with their uniforms drawn the way they are.
I think Grandslam was considered for issues 6 and 7 but Larry decided to use flash instead. In the issues it is clearly flash so I think in the actual story it's flash on the list and the art shows it as grandslam.
Of the original 13 members of G.I.Joe Grandslam is probably the least memorable. The reasons for this are probably He never appeared in the cartoon, He barely appeared in the marvel comics, and he looks so similar to flash to the point where when he and flash are in an issue of the comics I have a hard time telling which is which unless they are blatant about it, and finally he had only two figures both of which were only available in the first two years of the toyline.
To this day, I don't know why the Sunbow cartoon didn't ever have him in the series? And why the comic book didn't hardly use him, when practically all the Joes went to Springfield, my man Grand Slam didn't go on the mission?
Flash and Grand Slam are two different characters, but their uniforms look almost the same with those weird red pads. Flash is the Laser Rifle Trooper, whereas Grand Slam uses the Heavy Artillery Laser canon. :-)
@@nerdrock8087 hahaha me to I agree, they even influenced me so much I served proudly and now I'm spending my fortune collecting all the Joe's and G.I.JOE memorabilia. Hope we meet in this life some day mate lol g'day 👍
@@kratoscraken5614 Good for you! You said "mate", so I assume you are from the UK or maybe Australia? I'm a civilian through and through, but I had a cousin who was in the army and served in Viet Nam. When I was a kid, I used to talk to him about GI Joe all the time. He used to tell me about how accurate and realistic the file cards were, and how accurate some of the patches and accessories were on the figures. That was a huge deal to me. Great memories!
Yes! My favorite Joe! Thank you!
Thanks for watching Kevin! I wish he was in more issues so we could talk about him more
Excellent job Jesse, always a great experience to watch it
Thanks Lenny!

It’s still so odd he wasn’t in the Sunbow series. Not even the original mini series.

Thanks! That's true he is deadly with his artillery skills! I appreciate you watching

I love Gi.joe

The one who sends Hawk and Clutch down to the pit in issue one is Steeler not Grandslam.

Thank you for this. He was never on the cartoon. He along with most of the 1982 figures were never really used in the show what a shame.
Awesome character. I really enjoy the deep dive you go into with each character.

Exactly! That's why I didn't go in to that story with the Oktober Guard and what-not. It's definitely Flash with boots on the ground
I always loved how he beat the stuff outa Major Bludd back in the day.
When will you eventually make a video on Budo?
One of the very first cool GI Joes...when I was a kid I thought it was Flash on the JUMP box (The orange armour version of GS).
Those 2 are extremely easy to get confused
@@JLSComics I think it's flash on the 82 version of the JUMP but the 83 version is definitely Grand Slam.
Thank you so much from all your friends and Cobra now because of you Cobra now knows who the GI Joes are and where to find them
lol Thanks!
Most potential and least used.
I like comic books
That's an fantastic coed name. 😀👍
Love your highlighting my favorite joe but your missing at least 8 of his co.mic appearances

Very true!
Ol Grand slam is 13 and 14 series!!!

Doesn't help that he, Flash, and Zap have the exact same uniform.
I thought it was the breakfast special a Deny’s !😂
What are you talking about?
Think I used to have the figure back in the day.
I thought his name was Flash.
I thought the same thing.
Different character. Pretty much same outfit
sweet 👍
One of the original 13👍 and isn't his name flash, best friends with airborne? Grand slam is someone else....right? 🤔
