Instead of over-EQ sounds to make them fit, I try to find ones that fit without extra EQ/compression etc. These days I usually just use Ozone9 and the mastering plugin to get the mixes to pop a little . 🤷🏼♂️😄
Great, "Highly Produced" sound - I'd love to see a video analysis of the mix-down (eq - compression etc) as you got a great sounding mix from Budget equipment... Good Job!
Actually, I didn't use any of that. Just mixed straight as they were. I couldn't figure how to apply all the effects, compressors and gates in the Thomann mixer. I Only used a little MIDI automation here and there and slapped the Ozone 8 mastering ontop. :)
Nice video. One device though I would've definitely added into the mix, when talking about affordable synths, which are able to produce 80s style sounds, is Volca FM. That little thing is THE budget synth for FM synthesis. Of course it practically needs a midi-keyboard to play with, but still.

Good job! :)
I dare you to make a cover of "Never Gonna Give You Up" and send it to the 8-Bit Guy.
Hehe, we’ll see. Not sure if there will be copyright issues if I do, and how to make it better? It’s already the pinnacle of the 80s as it is... but very much interesting. :)
Sounds like an 80s tv show
You're a genius OMG
First a reaction to the mere title (because these are the best kind) : I think you can make any kind of music with anything. There. Now on to watch the video...
I remember the video when @UCaxeE5ujxnGIPHWHOyZ2Tkg had to go to the USA for a 8-bit keys video and now it is the other way, When David Murray had to come to Europe (Nice). Keep up the good Work I love this things and as well as those sounds.
