Thank you once again putting up these awesome breakdowns of some of the most amazing fighters out there. I miss Kru Lerdsila (Mr. Lightning), its been so many years since the last time I've seen him and had the honor to train, spar and learn so much from him. The most humble, down to earth fighter, friend, Kru, brother you would ever meet. Keep doing your thing Lawrence and again thank you for this clip.
It seems like he can "see" and "process" his observable world, much much faster than the average person. Not unheard of, but he's more than just smart. His brain is like that of a Dragonfly, no joke. look it up
1:21 that's a beautiful kick! How he first diverts his opponent's attention and then strikes at a different angle, still delivering a good amount of power. Wow.
He doesn't react to attacks, he directs attacks to him, which he anticipates, through opening up and knowing the move catalogue of the sport. Very impressive, just imagine what has to run through his head within a short time frame and under pressure.
Well said, that's exactly what he's doing. He is perfect example of when you mix intelligence and martial arts. He uses the same technique that I use "Fight the enemy where he isn't". It means, don't just rush at your enemy, but make him come to you in a place where you feel comfortable fighting and where you have advantage. I've had few mma fights in my life (never lost) and I did same thing, I didn't just jump at my opponent like some rabies dog, I waited for them to make their first move. Now I'm using same technique in gaming and I have never been out smarted or out maneuvered in any game. I'm the master if it comes to this tactic.
This dude smiles a lot while fighting. It's a scary thing when you see someone actually good at ass kicking and having fun while doing it. Scary and I'm jealous as hell.
It's probably more infuriating than anything. It looks cocky and makes people lose patience and attack him, putting them off balance, which puts them right where he wants them. It makes them easier to predict.
@Hien Thanh I know that 😂 but this man takes "Be water" to the extreme and Bruce would be proud no matter the art. And if you know shit about him. You literally can't counter me 🤷♂️😂 guess I should've been specific this is RUclips
i was thinking of saying that myself. xD 4:20 "if he tries to grab the leg, he will get punched. If he tries to kick, he will get pushed away. If he doesn't do anything, he'll just get attacked." There are so many situations in tekken that are like this.
Applying this to melee, reminds me of a legendary player named Borp. Was able to beat players better than him on paper because he was able to play his game so well
@@meyr1992 no offense but you should try. It's really hard to time it and there isn't a lot of video with dodge like that. This is all about his calmness and experience.
Because he knows that's exactly what he probably would do in that situation. A qualified guess. Probably since they were in contact he could also feel him powering up to do it. This is what doing something 10 000 hours looks like. Flows like water. I've played musical instruments for 20 000 hours, musicians instinctively read each others minds like this.
Fighting IQ,EXP, good eyes to collect data from enermy ,muscle to move like your brain determine and sense like animal thay's make genius are different from us. I always trainmuaythai and boxing for newbie in my faculty, i can say that Sense and Moving IQ are hardest to train i always found that some times who train for a years losing for newbie that come to play as hobby for no reason and ,Yes i'm first group who always losing a newbie that i trained.😂😂😂😂
The man has experience, distance knowledge, common sense, fight IQ, hyper responsive reflexes, and memorization of all possible techniques that can be used at certain distances.
@@arnewinter1857 try doing that with a reaction time of 2 seconds xd. its still reflexes. he might just be more perceptive and predictive than others but he still has to use his reflexes while perceiving and predicting.
@@johnaeryns5364 “standard” yes the one that ACTUALLY give it their all to learn Muay Thai, you speaking as if everybody who learn Muay Thai can do it and lower it value then what it actually is, even in the sport his stand & movement is easily the best of the best unless you got year of experience on your hand you would never be able to do what he did even if you a physically gifted
@@whatyalokingat1735 it's actually funny you mention that, because yeah, that's about what it takes, around a year of experience. Know what a year of martial arts training gets you? About to that level. And yes, for a muay thai fighter, his level of balance is just standard. I haven't seen him do any of the high end moves they teach you. I've seen him do very basic shit, and overall. I'm just not impressed. Don't get me wrong, he's pretty good. But you can see this level of capability at state tournaments literally everywhere. He's not elite, he's average with a good hype man.
@@johnaeryns5364 muay Thai is not even suppose to be fancy it simple and effective, like huh? Something telling me you never seen a traditional muay Thai class and "basic move" yes I can count on my finger and feet the number of people do what he do
this guy has mastered distance, timing, and tempo. He knows exactly where he needs to move, when he needs to move there, and how long he can safely rest in place before the next move.
He’s mastered his mind before mastering fighting. If you’ve ever been in a fight you know the amount of adrenaline and the amount of mental energy it takes in order to be hyper focused. He has managed to master that, his mind literally became like water and knows when to crash. When the mind flows like water the body will flowingly follow. What an exceptional fighter!!
Rickson Gracie talks about that a lot in his book Breath. Makes a lot of sense, people waste so much energy and cloud their rational ways of thinking with poor management of their emotional state.
1:47 its insane how he predicts the other guy is going to kick him and even though one of his legs is stuck, he jumps in the air and avoids the hit. Its impressive
This is just common sense. If somebody grabs your leg from your kick you should know the next thing he's gonna try is a sweep, so you instinctively jump
And in addition to his strategy he also makes some of his opponents so clearly flustered that they lose their focus and rhythm and he totally throws them off and makes them over-exert their energy. Truly brilliant
Yey make your opponent miss has a huge impact on his psychology and state of mind It makes him frustrated to the degree that made him question himself " am I supposed to be here... "
Only other guy I can think of off hand who frustrated opponents to the point where they could barely bother to throw, was (in his early prime) Lomachenko in boxing. Dude made a world champ throw in the towel after three rounds without landing a strike.
Not just in the old days. I know some master that can do more. But all of their fight never been recorded. Because when they fight there must been blood.
Bagas Putra which master wants blood lol they against violence most of the time . Its not recorder because they not on fame stuff. But i agree with the fact there are stil some people even better than him but they just hidden
Very impressive. The man is the master of evasion. As he has said, he is not faster than his opponents, he just can read their minds and countermove before they finish their move. More power to the entertainer Lerdsila.
whew, I'm honestly amazed someone can attain that kind of mastery, this honestly looks like a choreographed action scene from a movie but it's not. The point about being stress free and not thinking / caring about the outcome sounds very important and makes total sense, sounds like it would be pretty handy to learn to get into this mindset even in everyday life.
@@n0wheregrrl mhm, that's interesting, thanks ! and not too surprising in the end x') it's defo the kind of wisdom you expect to find in ancient chinese culture
People who enjoy it probably in most case enjoy it because they are gifted at it. They also worked hard, but it's fun for them because they are gifted at it and always comes out on top. This guy would enjoy it less if he was not gifted and kept getting his skull bashed in.
You've seen Muhammad Ali fights? That guy is not only impressive for doing the Evasive style this guy is using, He's a heavyweight that moves quick. Essentially a freal of nature.
@@khalif7201 lmao there was a huge guy who was fast and hella agressive i gave him 1 flying punch right on his cheek bone next thing i see is his big ass on the floor if your fighting a big guy hit him first or your gonna get rag dolled
I'm impressed with how well he can read his opponent's movements from such a close distance. Usually you gotta see their face, shoulders, and hips to tell what they're going to do next. He's very close yet can dodge punches and kicks. Remarkable reaction time.
I think he is beyond that. I think the body language he projects is largely what gives him the advantage. He knows how to make someone want to kick him in the face, or wherever it will best suit him.
This ability to read the enemy's next move was also a highly treasured ability among fighters throughout the ages and the inspiration for the Sharingan in the Shounen Jump Manga (and later Anime series) Naruto.
By baiting and most importantly reading even the smallest movements of your opponents that indicate their next moves. I just realized this is why Goku felt like he needed to fight Hit so bad. It was the perfect oppertunity to train how to predict his opponents moves since Hit had a huge advantage by skipping time and making his moves undetectable at the last moments and goku HAD to predict his moves. This training must have contributed to achieving ultra instinct as well. Mad... sometimes I don't understand why ppl say dbs has bad writing. Things like this are just hard to grasp I guess...
I forgot the name of the fighter he fought but the story is interesting. No one wanted to fight lerdsila in that event so the guy who fought him took the challenge. He was making his muay thai debut and thought it was a good idea to go up against lerdsila.
He never humiliated his opponents? I would beg to differ. Lerdsila is constantly smiling, belittling his opponents. You don't think this would enrage his opponents? Many Muay Thai fighters do this and I suspect this pisses people off. Some may argue that this is cultural. We see fighters like Saenchai do it. But, even if it's cultural, it doesn't mean it's ok. I do believe that since it's cultural, we should be slightly understanding, but it's still wrong. For example, if a particular religion encouraged second-class status of women, we can't give it a pass. People tend to give passes to people who are wealthy, skilled, famous, etc., but this is wrong. It shouldn't matter who you are. Everyone should be respectful.
He sure did humiliate his opponents and almost every fight. Standing there with gloves down and moving your head while smiling at the other fighter is one of the most humiliating things you can do in the fight game.
Lerdsila is almost beyond description sometimes. His fighting mind is insanely spot on, he sees it coming before the punch/kick is thrown. His ability to slide around his opponent and lure them in all the while staying several steps ahead of them is masterful! There are few "perfect" fighters, and Lerdsila is one of them for sure.
He doesnt always use ultra instinct. Many times, he lures his opponents into attacking or moving to the exact spots he wants so that he can dodge them with ease and counter afterwards. Also, the reason he always leans his upper body forward is so that he could lean back at a further angle to dodge both punches and kicks. Taunting and dodging are very effective in fighting. It not only allows you to step into a counter faster, it allows you to destroy other's ego everytime they misses. You can see his opponents losing confidence and lowering their guards as time passes. He's a true god at his own games.
@@hunk9891 doesn't make logical sense. The definition of God would be all-powerful, omnipotent, omnipresent, etc. No one believes thats what the fighter is, makes more sense just to say "he's a beast" or something to indicate he's a strong creature
I had a chance to discuss with him how he developed this crazy dodging skill. According to him, its millions of times of light sparring over decades. Apparently when was young they didnt have too much pad session with coaches, so they just sparred instead of kicking bags.
@@santtu0386 He was holding Pads for me one month ;) I saw him training his signaturemove with the Heavybag: giving it a pushkick and leanbackwards/under when it swung back. He is a coach at Phuket Top Team. Lots of great coaches there. Totally recommend to go there, you will not regret it. :)
@@MrDschiesus He has a lot of things working in his favor. He is tiny, and that helps in the speed of reaction. A heavy set man cannot make his muscles move fast enough to dodge a punch. He also is in outstanding physical shape. He achieves this tremendous speed by having his torso muscles tensioned 100% of the time. And only a man in excellent shape can withstand several rounds with every muscle tensioned. It is the only way to achieve that speed. If you relax the muscles, the time it takes to tension them back on and execute a move is enough to be a few hundreds of a second too late. You can´t cheat physics. Moving mass takes time. It takes time for our eyes to see the incoming punch, it takes time for our brain to recognize the threat, and it takes time for our brain to command our muscles to tension, and move. By having the muscles pre-tensioned, you win a few hundreds of a second of reaction time. The guy just turned it into a science, with years of practice, and probably a disciplined regimen of absolutely no toxins whatsoever. No alcohol, no tobacco, no drugs (even legal ones) no fast food, no anything at all that could hinder his reaction time. That means a clean living, and proper diet. An opponent that goes against him needs to study him and fight accordingly. Feints are paramount. If they throw every punch/kick they will tire themselves. Feinting a move makes the opponent expend energy, and not you. And they need to close the distance, always. In all these fights, his opponents are keeping the distance, which is a mistake.
We not just gonna sit here and ignore the fact that at 1:17 this man leg speed broke the charts, even the slow motion looks like regular footage speed still.
Absolute beast! A man that actually "plays" a deadly game must has to be a true master. This is truly motivational for everyone wanting to master a skill to a next level. Respect.
I think the most fun part about watching him fight is seeing just how little he breaks eye contact. That alone makes his fighting look extremely confident as much as his incredible feints and dodging.
Eye contact is one of the ways he is able to predict what his opponent is gong to do before he does it. In old school martial arts they teach you to master this.
@@johankaruyan5536 Then attack. They should have their eyes open at all times to see their opponent. If they are squinting their vision is not clear. You never take your eyes off your opponent even when ducking and weaving. The first basic concept is you can see their entire body from the eyes down. The 2nd is you can pick up their next move but takes practice. If they blink, squint or do anything that impairs their vison for a split second you engage. Take a jab and cross for example. The jab really is to stun your opponent for that split second to follow through with the cross. Sure you can knock someone out with a jab done correctly but that is not really the point of it.
Pro tip. If someone takes a swing at you, it is almost always the right hand. If it was the right hand, the next hit will always be the left hand. Now you can win most fights in 3 hits. Congratulations. Enjoy life.
It's not all about the reactions it's also about the prediction. He just has too much fight sense that he knows where and when his opponent's gonna strike man it's crazy.
I believe his style of fighting is best compared to an illusionist... he baits you into picking a card you think was completely your choice. When in reality he made you pick the card, he knew the outcome before you did and knows how to react perfectly as if he could see the future. The rest is just showmanship and an act for entertainment. Its the same thing you see here, he is making you throw certain punches or kicks without you knowing he wants you to do this. When you do it he can react as if he is faster or is predicting the future. This is the definition of complete mastery at an art, 1 of a kind.
His skill at avoiding getting hit is amazing. It must save him a lot of energy but must really wear on his opponent’s timing as well as wearing them out.
Exactly. He wears his opponents out physically AND mentally. Imagine how frustrating it would be to keep attacking but knowing it’s not doing anything. That’s gotta be so damn frustrating.
When the trainers at Jocky Gym in Bangkok were asked who the most talented fighter they'd ever trained was, they all said Lerdsila. For reference, Saenchai, Somrak and Rolek were all trained by those same coaches.
Watching the rest of the video, I see that he not only mastered Ali’s Rope-A-Dope, but has taken it to another level; and, still, with his hands down. Amazing.
This is what happens When you know about your inner strength and have control over it, he's doing it with such finesse and made it look like everything is soo easy which obviously isn't. Legend.
"Outcome independence allows him to flow". Magnificent, absolutely magnificent -he does not experience any anxiety or apprehension, no hesitation, no frustration or haste. He's absolutely free flowing b/c he is free from consequence or any future regret. Completely in the moment.
he is indifferent, no matter the outcome, to defeat or victory. .that was his fighting philosophy which made him superior in mental and psychological level of combat. .truly one of a kind. .a legend
It's very rare when someone born to do something, does what their born to do. Many pros we see today, aren't supposed to be too tier of their sport. They just practiced a lot. This man, was created to fight. And then he just added to it.
Imagine this on the battlefields of time, hand to hand combat in 10th century or before, without gunpowder. Trained soldiers like Lerdsila everywhere. It must have been a sight to behold.
Not to mention, the opponent has some crazy range on that jab, and lerdsila pulled his head just at the correct distance, nose kissing the opponent's glove, while maintaining eye contact, while his opponent throws a low kick only to find it already checked , again all while lerdsila is looking him in the eye. I would've exited the ring then and there.
Awesome video. Artists like this are rare, more so when considering the furnace within which they perform. Extremely humbling and awe inspiring to watch :-)
@@LawrenceKenshin dont know if you'll see this but I was very impressed with your video, it is quite amazing visually but also your commentary was strikingly astute, (no pun intended!) This mental state of 'outcome independence' is like a father teaching his child how to play draughts, or even noughts and crosses! He just seems to be so far ahead of his pupil it's almost like he has a time machine in his eyes! And him saying that he doesn't move faster than his opponent, he just moves before him is more evidence that he is super relaxed and focused on anticipating a dodge, block or strike, just amazing. Thank you, so much, the best breakdown with the most brilliant examples I've seen, Cheers! X
I'm guessing that since he had a hold of his head and shoulder he felt the guy's movement and knew what was coming. He would feel the guy shifting his weight to his supporting leg, and would reason it was so he could throw a kick with his free one then. Through years of doing it, he was ready.
If you slow it down, he starts to jump right when he sees the other guy hop forward with his support leg. Only one reason to do that, so he countered it, by muscle memory.
well if your opponent caught one of your legs they will usually try to sweep your other leg and make you fall on your ass, so it was not that hard to know there was a low kick coming. combine that with the decades of experience and hundreds of fights lerdsila has under his belt and you get this masterpiece of an evasion.
3:15 as soon as he said "Let that sink in for a second" I have slowed it down to 25% and damn. It almost looks like magic the way he stepped over that low kick with each leg individually.
I also can't help but laugh when my trainer throws something at me I didn't even know was possible. It's a rush to have your ideas of what is and isn't possible changed like that.
2:51 damn. That looks like it came straight from anime. The opponent was unbelievably fast and that punch was thrown perfectly yet he still managed to dodge it.. I do MMA and boxing and I doubt that I can reach this level of reflex no matter how hard I train.
He keeps his eyes open all the time, observes every movement, and watches where his opponent is winding up to kick or punch. most people are concerned with self-preservation or emotion. He 'simply' focuses on movement and reads his opponent. He is phenomenal!
I'd argue it is the opposite... like a magician who doesn't use special tricks to figure out what card you took, he just makes sure you take the card he wants you to take. It's not about predicting what the next strike will be, its about showing the opponent the things that will make him throw the strike you want him to throw.
Only a handful of fighters throughout modern history who’ve achieved this skill level, and they break the spirit & will of fighters at the highest levels of competition. It’s fascinating, awe-inspiring, and terrifying, all at once. Thanks for the entertaining & informative content!
@@emiliocedeno369 If you haven’t seen Jose Aldo vs Uriah Faber, it’s a crazy leg kick festival, and went all five rounds. Edson Barboza also has crazy leg kicking skills. For Muay Thai champions, Buakaw, and Senchai. Those two break the will of their opponents, and make it look easy. Personally, I think they are the toughest guys in the world.
In boxing I would add Mohammed Ali. In his prime he would taunt his opponents just like this. He was practically untouchable. One of his best displays was against Cleveland. The fight is in full color on youtube.
8:00 If you watch this in 4X slowmotion the questionmark kick still is nearly a single or two frames from teep position to foot on chin. Nothing short of incredible.

This guy has the humble house fly instincts. They see everything slowed down and react with incredible speed. Look it up. This fighter is an absolute legend and beyond normal in reaction speed and counter-attack.
This guy is a definitely a top class fighter applying Bruce Lee's philosophy about being water and flowing. He moves before the opponent, he isn't ridged in movement .
my friend !are you ok ??? fighter means many ways of fighting ! no weapons , freestyle , no gloves , no referee , no weight rules ... street fight and many others !
nailed it at 1:50 It's more then "ability to read each attack coming" due to his.. unfathomable knowledge of the human chain, twitch muscles and interaction and reaction knowledge as a fighter. He mastered balance in all fighting aspects for his body's way of fighting best. Individual muscle control, speed, footwork, distance manipulation, fakes, etc. Just his ability to read other fighters is his obvious strongest point, due to a special understanding of how other fighters will react or attack him. It's all his experience. In short he makes them fight how he wants them to and basically leads the whole dance.
his combat sense is incredible. he baited and predicted his opponent's moves and whats more he moves and reacts at such high speed. this is what one could achieved from countless match

In fighting game, that's frame analysis. When his opponent's action startup frame, he start little bit delay. His move is a counter to his enemies moves. He dodged the active frame of his enemy and when his enemy goes into recovery frame, he will whiff punish the attacker by quicker attacks.

It's not about predicting what the next strike will be, its about showing the opponent the things that will make him throw the strike you want him to throw.
@@SimonRika-o5tcorrect brow , I'll remember what you've taught me😊

This man deserves the Grand Master title for sure. He's a true planning master. I've never seen such technique.
His is the same as Sanchai style but more evasive. Same root though. Sanchai is more hybrid.
He's the type of guy to master all the combos in a fighting game, and know exactly when to use each move and combo
Only a handful of fighters throughout modern history who’ve achieved this skill level, and they break the spirit & will of fighters at the highest levels of competition. It’s fascinating, awe-inspiring, and terrifying, all at once. Thanks for the entertaining & informative content!
Can you list those fighters? I’m starting to practice my kicks 🦵🏼 and want to be like Sam “The Flying Hawaiian”

@@emiliocedeno369 Not Muay Thai, but I think you could learn a lot from Niccolino Locche if you want to see another true legend of defense.
In boxing I would add Mohammed Ali. In his prime he would taunt his opponents just like this. He was practically untouchable. One of his best displays was against Cleveland. The fight is in full color on youtube.
“You are more successful when you are outcome independent.” This is very true. I have experienced this when going out partying
I am not interested in fighting, but this is truly a remarkable talent.
8:00 If you watch this in 4X slowmotion the questionmark kick still is nearly a single or two frames from teep position to foot on chin.
Nothing short of incredible.
I watched this at least ten times. I can't believe it
Holy shit. I didnt know that it was a ? kick. I thot it was a super quick kick. Fukcing insane.
He is like playing a video game, enjoying every move he takes with funny grim on his face
I've never seen anyone fight like this. Absolute legend. Outcome independent means you're probably gonna win.
roy jones jr feels similar to me

Had the honour of training and drinking with lerdsilla while in Thailand, he’s such a happy friendly guy and his fight IQ and evasiveness are insane
any tips you picked up from him?
yeah, did he gave you any tips?
How about the tips, friend?
Everyone in the thread: any tips? That one guy:
@@Joespmama. LMAO WTF
When i first started watching fights i was kind of disappointed becouse i had watched so many movies where fighting was unrealisting and purely entertaining. This dude legit feels like a badass movie character when he fights. And he has the best mindset too
This has to be the most unique fighting methods I had ever seen. I would bet you that this person is beyond most master fighters for sure.
Almost couldn't believe it, was thinking it was choreographed for a second but man he's just amazing. Genuinely speechless. I don't know how I never heard of this guy. Amazing!!
Ditto. I can't understand why this guy is not known more ! He's a frigging genius !
This is what humans are capable of. Movies were real after all.
Watch the Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa Fight. Israel was in flow state. It humbled me.
So finally someone achieved Obsevstion haki in real life 🔥
Or Ultra Instinct.
Lol thats what I was thinking about. Cant wait for tonights episode.
future sight
Muhammad Ali already achieved that
Muhammad Ali already achieved that
This guy has the humble house fly instincts. They see everything slowed down and react with incredible speed. Look it up. This fighter is an absolute legend and beyond normal in reaction speed and counter-attack.
This guy is a definitely a top class fighter applying Bruce Lee's philosophy about being water and flowing. He moves before the opponent, he isn't ridged in movement .
my friend !are you ok ??? fighter means many ways of fighting ! no weapons , freestyle , no gloves , no referee , no weight rules ... street fight and many others !
nailed it at 1:50
It's more then "ability to read each attack coming" due to his.. unfathomable knowledge of the human chain, twitch muscles and interaction and reaction knowledge as a fighter.
I heard that there are many Muay Thai fighters in Thailand who are similar to Saenchai, but they choose to stay in Thailand, so few foreigners know about them.
You are right. I am Thai. Anyway, Saenchai still a legend.
Bruce lee : “Be water”
Lerdsila : *and i took that personally*
Maaaaaaaan!!! Lmfao i felt this
He was my neighbor living next to me in Thailand. In a very small village near Chum Phae. I know his whole family..... In 2005, he came over to our house many times. He just was a young boy who was training Muay Thai. And I trained in the same Gym at that time. I never thought to hear about him again. But nowadays, he's one of the best fighters and in the same class like Rodtang, Petdam....BTW: Even Wiki doesn't know, where hes really come from. If anybody wants to know the name of the village; please ask me.
That's pretty cool
If the wiki don't know it he prollly wants to keep it private
So it not good to disclose the info
His class same as Saenchai
@@kimmys2982 I just wanted to let know his birthplace to fans only. It's a small issaan village. It's sooo calm and quiet there. I've been living there nearly 5 years. Im making a little bit comercials for that village. Anyway, it's worth to see it once. BTW: My in-laws still live in this village. 👍🙏
@@sirbill443 They know each other. But back in these days, I hadn't the knowledge like nowadays. But Saenchai is a class for himself. Thanks for the information. 👍❤
Never heard of him but I love him already.
In fighting game, that's frame analysis.
When his opponent's action startup frame, he start little bit delay. His move is a counter to his enemies moves. He dodged the active frame of his enemy and when his enemy goes into recovery frame, he will whiff punish the attacker by quicker attacks.
Is it really frame analysis though? He doesn't react to the startup frames, he predicts the button lol. It's a read.
He has godlike yomi, some of the opponents barely show any tells especially that back sway at the jab.
yeah IMO he's just reading the opponent really well. An example I can give is For Honour, Most Gryphons will dodge into a heavy, most Black Priors will try to flip everything you have. What I'm trying to say is Lerdsila's not using frame analysis, he's just predicting what his opponent will do in advance. He's prepared as F.
@@boom-jr8vi He's just fought for so long and trained so well, his instincts are way above the average to even some professional fighters, that he can see every move in the book being done already before it happens.
Thank God when I was fighting I never fought a guy like this! I have sparred a guy similar who was like that with me. I can’t explain how frustrating it feels when you throw everything you have and don’t land a shot. It’s worse then getting bombs landed on you left and right. The feeling of anger frustration hopelessness that goes though your mind. It’s mentally defeating I was always aggressive never give up guy back in the day. I’ll never forget that feeling especially when I competed at a very high level. It made me question every time we sparred if I knew shit about fighting!
Which means they beat you with their mind as much as their bodies. Sun Tzu would approve.
The frustration on his opponents' faces is palpable -- you can just see them trying to figure their next move and coming up empty.
Video tape your fights/sparring and watch them as you would an opponent. You may have patterns, habits, or maybe even tells that could give hints to what you are going to do. I remember one person would always left jab when dodging left against front leg kicks, and start rotating his front leg before doing a reverse kick... I had a field day with him!😅
Also notice his eyes are always open, never scared of being hit. You have to see to dodge.
If you train in boxing they will teach you to not be afraid and keep your eye open , you cant fight while not looking
Yeah i got a flinching problem..
Boom
The greatest video to explain what is the beauty in fight. This is more than "free violence". To fight is like doing music. Both acrivities can put you "in the flow"
