    Your video led me to purchase the 4080s. An upgrade from my 3070ti and definitely worth it as I fly helicopters only what eats out a lot of performance

      Hey, I'm glad it helped you, that was the point of making the video in the first place.
      I remember when I upgraded from my old PC (i7 9600f, 32GB DDR4, 2060) to the current one (R7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5, 4080). I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning lol.
      Enjoy the feeling, it does fade unfortunately.

    Next time I suggest sticking with one aircraft (constant variable) - using multipla AC introduces more changing variables, which can have an impact on your results. Through my own testing I discovered that different AC have more or less impact on fps. For example, the older F-5 sucks up more fps than the newer F-16 (somewhere around 5-10 depending on map). This was surprising to me because the avionics in the F-5 are simplified compared to the F-16. I suspect the differences could be due to texture optimization or something I'm not considering. I kept everything constant except for the aircraft.
    That said, very nice video. Thanks for taking the time out to create and share it with us. You definitely touched on a topic that was on my mind. Cheers!

    These microstutters are immersion killers. Set up the building and forest quality to 0.8. Now it is butter smooth.

    • @MeanStreakGaming
      @MeanStreakGaming  7 месяцев назад

      I've maxed it out. All settings. The micro stutters you're seeing is because I record at 60fps and the fps of the game changes. That was the point for the purposes.kf this video. Normally I lit my fps to 60, and record at 60 so it's all smooth.

    I don't see the difference between 110 fps and 52 fps. VR will cut FPS in half, even with an RTX 4090.

    • @skull1161
      @skull1161 8 месяцев назад +1

      the difference between 110 fps and 52 fps is extremely noticeable on a 144hz or higher monitor, anything below 60 feels choppy after being used to 100 hz+
      this video isn't really a good example though because the most youtube allows you to see is 60 fps

    Can you benchmark vr?

    • @MeanStreakGaming
      @MeanStreakGaming  8 месяцев назад

      I don't use VR, I can't help you there, sorry. But a good rule of thumb is, provided you use the same graphics settings, to take the FPS I got and cut it in half. Because VR likes to eat frames. So if you're planning a PC upgrade and want to play in VR at 4k and max graphics, a 4080 isn't gonna cut it. You might want the 4090, and think about a step up from my CPU as well. Maybe 7900, maybe even 7950X3D. It's pricey but it'll get you performance. Just bear in mind, I'm not an expert, so take what I tell you with a grain of salt and consult an actual expert before making your decisions.
