It's known that for people who suffer from anxiety and depression growing up, things can come to a peak in the mid to late 20s . Some people don't get through it. This is partly what's thought to be behind the untimely death of so many young people at around this age, whether that's through suicide, or from engaging in 'self medicating' behaviours (drugs, alcohol etc) that increase the risk of death. Very sad.
@@ProMrLecoq01 I think his comment was worded oddly. I feel like a sizable amount of people have some sort of anxiety or go through some depressive moments in their 20s. It doesn’t help the “Cobain was murdered” theory that the alleged hitman was later hit by a train... but many point to the “last” Nirvana song, “You Know You’re Right” that he’s singing about leaving... something (either his wife, or fame... or the living (and subsequently his daughter).
What do you mean it doesn't help the theory that the alleged hitman was hit by a train? Why would that matter? Was the train death suspicious? Who is this alleged hitman? Most theories point to Courtney Love masterminding the murder in order to get Kurt's copyright share of Nirvana since they were legally married. Which she still has today and has netted her millions or even billions of dollars.

You have to be a well known talent to be in the 27 Club. It's an unexplained mystery as to why D. Boon was mentioned. Who? And Amy Winehouse was 2nd league in comparison to the others.
Valentin Elizalde for example, he literally got shot on his car after a show by a group of "sicarios" with his manager and his driver. He was the sensation in Mexico back in the day and a very talented one.
Ron "Pigpen" McKernan of the Grateful Dead. He was their original frontman and keyboardist not to mention I believe he was dating Janis Joplin at the time of her death

There are some really eerie parallels between the lives of Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, both were from Seattle, both came from broken homes, both were left handed musicians, both of their first singles were cover songs, both released three studio albums during their lifetime, both were in suspicious relationships at the time of their deaths, both died at 27.

The life of Robert Johnson was really worth of a documentary or a series. Apparently, he was once a really bad guitar player who couldn't book a gig on an era of live played music, but his improvements in a matter of days were so high that led to controversy , and rumours of a Deal with the Devil . But the truth is that Johnson's skills are more than impressive. Extremely crafty stuff. There are moments that it seems two guitars are played. Absolutely a top, top guitar player, and in an era you could only play acoustic.

That's how you join, "their club"........a little of your life force, at a crossroad, and then you bury it. After that, all the money and success you want..........it only cost you your soul.
And once again Ron Pigpen McKernan gets overlooked.

He threatened to take her out of his will before he died. He was going through a divorce. I was skeptical of the murder theory until I watched soaked in bleach.

Kurt’s death makes me the saddest of all of these. It’s just so tragic.
I've been wondering who else was a member of the 27 club, aside from the more well-known talents. Thanks for the info.
You have to be a well known talent to be in the 27 Club.
It's an unexplained mystery as to why D. Boon was mentioned. Who?
And Amy Winehouse was 2nd league in comparison to the others.
The wikipedia article on the 27 club has an exhaustive list of members aside from the well-known ones.
Never understand why Cobain and winehouse are mentioned more than Brian Jones who was the guy who actually formed a certain band called the rolling stones!!!!!!!!!
Agreed
He never wrote anything and didn’t even lead his own band. And he wasn’t a good person at all so it’s hard to romanticise him.
Cause he’s nothing compared to Kurt Cobain who formed nirvana and is still a huge influence to musicians today.
I mean....i actually get it tho....i mean Nirvana, the apearance, personality
Agreed.👍
I’ve been binge watching weird history videos, can say this is way more interesting than my actual history class. Love the videos

John Merrick,,he didn't die from a broken neck,, because of the deformities,,he had to sleep sitting up,,the night he died he was placed laying down and his condition caused his airway to be blocked,,he suffocated in bed.
Amy Winehouse was the one 27 club member always hit me bad. I remember watched her at the Grammys when she found out she won a Grammy. She gave me goosebumps. I knew she was going to win because of her album Back to Black. Her video "Love is a Loving Game" was kind of memorial to her, even though she wasn't dead. R.I.P Amy, you needed it more than anyone.
