Sleepless In Seattle brought me here ......... never knew it was Joe Cocker singing this in the film .... love it gives me chills
Me too… sleepless in Seattle.
Hello Julie how are you doing!!
So soul full. yes Joe's version is without doubt the best. But just so you know the song was written in 1926 as an uptempo dance number in the "flapper age". I' an 82 year old drummer who has played this number numerous times as both a Dixieland and smooth Jazz number always uptempo. When I first discovered this version I said "best ever". Joe just took ordinary numbers and added his bluesy style and blows them out of the water. At my late Brides funeral I had them play Joe's
"You Are So Beautiful to Me"
RIP Joe
dang, Joe Cocker is such a soulful singer. I gotta listen to more of his stuff
You don't hafta be African American to have soul. The entire performance feels like church, soul gospel. AMAZING!
always unnoticed dependable Jim Keltner drums
Joe Cocker is like a fine wine gets better as the glass goes down, now sadly missed
I wish every concert I saw was recorded. Each performance was different and brilliant.
Joe Cocker .......has stood the test of time.
No matter how debauched he looked, his voice remained intact and faultless. Still amazing after all these years. R.I.P.
He didn't look debauched at all!
He does look well-worn. Rest peacefully, Joe.
Why do people care what he is wearing or looks like? Cmon people.. This mans voice speaks for what he stood, and will stand for the rest of time. Great Joe Cocker!
I don't care what he wears,,he always looks great to me,,,,his voice is what I love,,,it's what we will remember,,,,in my opinion he was one of the greatest ever ,,,he was unique,,,miss you Joe xx

A GIANT of talent
Magnifico e increible talento. Un grande de todos los tiempos.
Love you Joe❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE THIS SONG AND THE MOVIE
After listening to 25-30 RUclips versions of this song, trying to find the perfect performance that is in my mind, this one is the closest, if you could dial down the backup singers. Joe’s old voice nails it.
In fact, dial back everything except his voice, and it would be perfect
I love Joe Cocker! But have a listen to Julie London perform this song. Just her and her bassist. It's not church, but it's smokin' hot! Different feel. Both terrific!
Wonderful!

@@RaxOldiesthank you! I think the whole band deserves notice, but I was captivated by those backup singers.
Na minha humilde opinião, a melhor versão dessa música é na voz rouca e rasgada de Joe Cocker.
