I'm currently playing Skyward Sword and seeing Link and Zelda actually having feelings for each other is very refreshing. In the other games, it was sort of implied they had a thing for each other, but their relationship was more business-like, i don't know if that's the correct term for it.
Skyward Sword is what got me interested in the series despite it being controversial, but I find it the most emotional story out of all of the games and I love the cinematics. In my opinion they do a great job balancing the light-hearted comedic feel from Wind Waker but while taking advantage of the cinematic emotional elements.
Rafael Knight A Knight's duty to the Crown you could say. Zelda is royalty after all. This kind of relationship has been in the majority of the games. Skyward Sword is the absolute closest to a genuine romantic relationship between the two as said in this video. It kind of should be obvious that the developers wanted it that way for that particular game.
@@gamersinger5118 i mean not really. Spirit tracks is entirely based on their relationship and its HEAAAVILY implied they have feelings for eachother, so y'know, stop ignoring that one
@@Mqstodon I didn't. But I could have chosen my words more carefully. I meant the best example overall and the one I found to be the most genuine in my own opinion. Spirit Tracks is a good example too though.
Also regarding Malon: there’s a gossip stone in town that says that Malon dreams of being sweapt away by a knight riding a horse, or something to that effect. And who goes to the Ranch and saves her in a horse? Link
@@handles-R-retodded oh. my bad. now i feel dumb. but i still wouldn't call that shining armor tho (as its covered in moss, but thats after he dies so...)
Lol. I think they technically could have had kids together and had a *mostly* Hylian descendent if they bred with other Hylians for a couple generations until you got TP Link which would make him maybe 95% Hylian, 5% Zora or something like that. He does seem pretty adept at swimming even without the Zora gear compared to the other Links, but thats probably just game mechanics not lore.
@@LoinkLoink Yeah that was I weird thing from Albw I didn't understand. I don't understand how that would work. At least Zora's are more humanoid, but it is what is it
I am 100% convinced that Skyward Sword Link and Zelda end up together, and the reason that Minish Cap Link and Zelda are friends is that they're cousins.
I love how if the player splats on the ground after Zelda pushes Link off the statue, you restart and she says something like "sorry, I won't push you THIS time"
in addition, Groose's character arc was really interesting. he goes from an arrogant asshole, to being taken aback from everything going on, to more of a go-getter who understands his place in the world.
I’m convinced that the Hero of Time and Malon got together. The Hero of Twilight is a blood descendant of the Hero of Time and somehow he’s not only a ranch worker, but has a horse called Epona AND knows Epona’s song. I mean for goodness’ sake, when you’re in Hyrule Field at night in Twilight Princess, the music is accompanied by Malon’s singing!
@@The_Story_Of_Us But who knows lol. OOT Link is implied to have had a long life after Majora's Mask before becoming the Hero's Shade. He could have had many relationships throughout his years lmao.
Zelink in Skyward Sword is what I'm all about. Seeing Link smile, mad and even crying for her is just heart warming. All Zelda's have to save their kingdoms and all Link's are the heroes, but the Hero of Sky has a personal motive (Zelda) to go in the adventure and that is why is soooo special.
@@goombaluigi8681 This was about the Princess design. not the game. But yeah i can see you like more even cheerful/lively styles. The ones you hate are my favs except Zelda 1. And Skyward sword alongside Wind Waker are the least likeable for me.
@@noldorwarrior7791 I respect your choices but don't agree with them. In terms of design I would honestly rather like the noncanonica (yes cdi included) and age of calamity versions in terms of how you mean.
@@goombaluigi8681 Twilight princess Zelda character design is my favorite one even tho is not my favorite zelda game. Her dress is quite good looking for Hylian Royalty. I also like her personality. More like an Ice Queen than a cheerful teenager from other games.
Also going to skim over the fact that Twilight link knows how to whistle Eponas song using the grass? to me that's kind of a big hint for the Link/Malon ship
Its canon to me. The ships that make the most sense to me are: OOT - Malon WW - Maggie? I refuse to accept Zelda as a canon ship but this one makes more sense than most TP - Ilia SS - Link and Orielle or another strong Zelda ship point. I believe in BOTW2 we will see a better suiter for link.
They did, it's shown in the royal family crest. The red bird symbolizes Links crimson loftwing and the birds wings are Hylia's crest. That is the crest of the Hyrulean royal family.
@@Mari_Izu don't confuse the 1 Hylian shield in the game with other normsl weapons. Its a bonus secret item, its existence in SS doesn't make sense unless you think of it as an item that came from the future.
@@nworder4life Link has the Hylian Shield in the artworks released for Skyward Sword, though. It's not really treated as a non-canon thing in-game either (unlike something like, let's say, the Amiibo rune in Breath of the Wild), because it's given a story context for being there.
I dunno if any other commenters have mentioned this, but at the end of Twilight Princess, Link is riding *away* from Ordon village, not towards it. You can go to that spot and match up the camera angle. Link has already been home, and Ilia is watching him leave. It's anyone's guess as to why, but I would suspect he's going to try to find a way back to the Twilight Realm.
Yeah I got that wrong. However this does mean he did return to Ilia but we just didn't see it and don't know exactly why he's leaving. I think he did settle back in Ordon, but did the travelling for the town such as bringing the sword to Hyrule Castle like he was supposed to do at the beginning of the game.
@@Zeldom In my personal timeline theory based on nothing but my own feelings I have Link finding a way back to Midna. There's nothing our Hero can't accomplish. Twilight Princess 2 for the win, come on Nintendo make it happen.
Oh fun fact that weird me out for some reason. Ghirahim and Link are supposed to be around the same age. Idk how to feel about that but I think physical appearance? Idk. Hhhh
Ever since I was a child I shipped OOT Link and Zelda together along with many other people. As an adult I can see that realistically Link and Malon ended up together especially with all the evidence that highly suggests this. At least Zelda and Link end up together in Skyward Sword, so I can't really complain.
Me too. I wanted to believe that TP Link and Zelda were related even distantly because they were descendant from OOT Link and Zelda. Especially since they look similar and it's one of those cases where Zelda appears but isn't a love interest. Especially after reading the manga...as it's different from the game...there's stuff in there that was left out in the game...such as how Adult OOT Link got the earring...it was a rite of passage for Sheikah males as Impa trained him. Even though it's different from the game...it's very Link and Zelda ship teased in it. As OOT child Link had met Zelda prior to learning she's the princess when they were kids...and developed a crush on her...and this transferred to him as Adult Link. Seeing Zelda again was motivation for him throughout his journey. Awwww. I know again it's different from the game..but my Zelink heart. LOVED IT!!
I support the Link and Malon pairing. I think it's a sweet pairing and there's definitely more evidence that point to that pairing in Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess. Looking at Ordon Village, it seems that Link and Malon would've been happy together since it's a mixture of how they were both raised respectively, Link was raised in the forest and Malon was raised on the ranch. Out of all of Link's potential love interests in Ocarina of Time, I believe Malon is his best chance at happiness. I remember thinking the Ocarina of Time incarnations of Link and Zelda looked nice together and hoped they would get together back when I was a kid. But as I got older, their relationship started to feel platonic to me, it felt like they were coworkers if that makes any sense. I guess I had the "hero gets the princess" mindset when I was a kid.
I still hold to the idea that Zelda and Link could have been the OTP for Ocarina of Time had it not been for the fact that Link was sent back to the past with all those memories of everything he went through and saw in OoT but the new child Zelda did not share those memories, which would cause all kinds of barriers and problems since he has all these memories of her in an alternate timeline and she doesn't grow into that person since the future is vastly different now. I think he would have ended up with Zelda as an adult had he not been sent back.
My favourite ship is Midlink! Not only do I adore their chemistry, Im also a sucker for a bittersweet ending. I love to think of them as two people who were in love, but couldn't persue it, due to the circumstances they were in. I personally believe Midna was planning to confess her feelings to Link, but stopped herself, knowing it would be more painful if she did go through with it, because she would destroy the mirror. I actually think she thought this one through long and hard and it was a though decision for her. I also think Link left Ordon in search of a way to bring back the mirror, because he wanted to see Midna again. Sorry if this is long, but MidLink is a comfort ship for me haha.
I do like MidLink, but realistically I just don't see if happening. I think they did build a strong bond during the game, but I don't quite think it built to romance, and least not in game. I think that it could have if Midna hadn't destroyed the mirror, but she did so they can never see each other again :/

I agree with every word of this. I think Link did return to Ilia, but I headcanon she told him to continue searching for a way to get back to the Twilight because she loved him and couldn't see him hurt.
@@Zeldom I agree with every that that you said. Midna breaking the mirror leaves me to believe that she choose not to pursue romance with Link - one of the most bittersweet things that I’ve seen for romance in a video game. - *My pure head canon* I believe Link went to (now Queen) Zelda to become a personal guard of Zelda like in BOTW(*assuming he was riding away from the village, if not he simply settled back in the village with Ilia and everyone else*). They would keep their relationship strictly platonic especially because they hold the pieces of the triforce respectively and more importantly because Link realistically married Ilia. Again that’s just my head canon and personal perspective.
One thing that you never mentioned was that once you finish Peatrice's quest, if you've confessed your love for her and then have Fi analyze her afterwards, she says something like "I sense a great aura of happiness whenever you're around her. It's probably best to not inform Zelda about this."
In all honesty I have never chosen that route with Peatrice out of the 4 times I've played through the game... Idk how I didn't come across that in my reading though
Link and Zelda literally kiss at the end of Zelda II. Furthermore, when Link shows Impa his Triforce, she gives him a box with the crystals and a scroll that "only a king could read." Link is able to read the scroll despite never seeing the language before, implying that he would be king. There is definitely more evidence than is on the surface :(
Yeah but in Zelda 2 it's the "save the princess" thing and they had never even met before. To me that's not a good romantic story and Link could've just been a player. But that quote only a king could read is something I didn't know about. I'll make note of that in case I ever redo this video.
@@Zeldom Never met!? IIRC Zelda 2 is a direct sequel featuring the same Link and Zelda as the first game. Also all the other media from the time of the game obviously pair the two up and flesh out the story.
I always saw Oot Zelda and Link relationship as more of a brother and sister that had been separated for a long time. Like they knew they were connected. But him marrying Malon makes more sense since TP Link is a direct descendant and he lives in a ranch that was possibly established by Link and Malon
When I first read this comment I thought u said something totally different...it took me a second to realize you meant Midna riding on his back when he's a wolf XD
Lol I will probably make part two in December/January, but I might have to do a part 3 exclusively for the botw trilogy. With age of calamity coming out soon there should be some good new insight for that. I'll have to see if botw will be part 2, or the other games.
imo it was the only OoT relationship that makes sense, for several reasons, but the main one being that every woman in Link's life /except/ Malon end up becoming sages originally
I assumed that at the end of Twilight that Link was riding off to find a way to get to Midna. Maybe I looked at it wrong, but I could see Link going to the ends of the Earth to find a possible chance to get to her. Granted I can see Ilia being who he gets with, but at the same time I can see him going to find some means to get to Midna.
That could be a valid interpretation since we don't know why he is leaving Ordon at the end, but like I said it's definitely just an assumption. I think he did still live in Ordon but helped to rebuild Hyrule after the devastation caused by Ganondorf and the Twilight.
I mean, his ancestor did the same for Navi (and a skull kid ended up stealing his horse). So either the Hero Shade tries to warn him against doing that, or TP Link does it without being told otherwise.
@@Zeldom It is a extremely valid interpretation. Frankly your points brought it into view for me. I honestly didn't even think about it. I'm on a 60/40 split now thanks to the ideas that you brought up. Of course I am also a Princess Midna fan boy, so that might have a bias, but still valid points are valid points. Also now I am going to have to fire up my WiiU to play Twilight Princess, again, oh darn. Woe is me.
@@rac1equalsbestgame853 highly plausible. Without a Twilight 2 (come on Nintendo) we can't be sure which way or another. Granted that is likely, but hey if it gets us a Twilight 2, I okay either way.
I've actually seen many fanfics where Link is deaf, not mute. However that doesn't quite work; as he can obviously hear what's going on about him. So I could certainly see him as a mute. He does motion with his hands a lot in cutscenes; perhaps he is using hylian sign language?
Zelda and Link's destinies are always intertwined. It's the reason why they always come together after being reincarnated over and over again. This "love" doesn't have to be expressed overtly. It's already fated to happen in one way or another.
Agreed that the destinies are intertwined. I don't think this means they are always bound to have romantic relations, but they certainly are bound by fate in terms of protecting Hyrule
This is a late reply, but I think it's really cool that they always come together but their relationship isn't always the same. Sometimes, they are just close friends. Sometimes, they are friends to lovers and there are more romantic undertones. Sometimes, they don't know each other very well and their relationship is more formal. It's really cool to me that it's not always the same, it depends on the circumstances of their lives.
I always had a feeling about Malon, and I've shipped her with Link since I first played Ocarina as a kid! To see a very well-constructed theory supporting this ship makes me so happy. From the evidence you've shared, it actually seems undeniable. You did a great job showing the "link" between the Hero of Time and the lifestyle of his descendant in TP - if the Hero of Time had married Zelda, TP Link would be living in the castle! But a ranch in the forest is a perfect representation of Malon and Link together. The thread of Epona's Song running through the two games, as well as TP Link's connection to Ilia and the clear depiction of Link going home to return to her, keeps the cycle alive. Another fun element about Ilia is that she is the "childhood friend in the forest" motif that calls back to Saria in Ocarina, but since she's not a Kokiri, or a Sage, the lifelong bond they share is allowed to manifest itself as romantic love.
I kinda like that you didn't included the point everyone else uses as certainty that OoT Link got with Malon (that TP Link knows Epona's song from the start). But still felt incomplete without it. As for TP Zelda ... My head canon is that she actually knows the history of the Hero of Time, and that their destinies are Linked (due the fact that she seems more in tune with her powers than other Zeldas). But this incarnation of her is the type to put others before what she wants. That's why, even if she had some hope of being with Link, she wouldn't act on it. Letting him chose how to live his life, while she carries the Kingdom.
I think I got that in there, but when I was talking about how Ilia's theme is Epona's song and that's also a connection to Malon, but it was definitely very quick. Perhaps my placement wasn't the best and I could've focused that point a bit more. Nice head canon!
I adore their relationship in Skyward Sword. But there are also so many hints in AoC and BOTW that that Link and Zelda truly love each other. For sure.
@@Zeldom I mean... "Princess and a plumber" as a project synopsis is only gonna be found in one of two places, the wacky world of video games or a very sticky 70's sound stage The two entertainment catagories practically go hand in hand really
I like how Link’s dialogue tree in Skyward Sword towards Peatrice as she becomes more open about her crush on Link is either he just rolls with it or he’s rather dismissive if not outright uncomfortable.
I along with everyone on planet Earth and off planet Earth ships Skyward Sword Link and Zelda. I don't think it's a ship if it's basically spelled out though since Nintendo was really like "Hey, hey guess who's finally together?" but ship or not, they're still so damn cute together. Also I love Link's baffled looks during all his Princess Ruto interactions. XD it's great.
Another note about Link and Ilia, was when she regains her memories, you see the kids spy on them, only for Talo to linger behind before being pulled away since the adults leave Ilia and Link alone too. Common trope right there to give a couple 'some privacy' lol. It's like "Yeah we're all 3rd wheels" lol.
Honestly so weird how emotional I got desperately hoping you agreed Malon and Link of Time were the sailing ship. Loved rewatching some of those scenes from Skyward Sword! Can't wait for part 2.
I adore Malon and Cremia so I may have a bias there. I may have to do more than a part 2 since with AoC and Botw2 coming out I may need an entire episode to the botw trilogy. Definitely will happen, but may take some time
@@Zeldom oh defo take your time, I've been replaying BoTW to learn some advanced tech and overall enjoyment: recently re-consuming the BoTW lore you will need extra time to cover all that content! You got your work cut out for ya haha! And you got us loyal fans here to consume it when it releases so there's some motivation, godspeed to you!
I know I'm late to the party but I'm so thrilled to see Malink content! Even as a kid I loved this pairing overall and your theories help shed more light on it. Also I always found it unusual that Nintendo would put both of Malon's forms(Romani, the innocent young version and Cremia, the mature and reserved one) in the same game with both interactions being major to the overall progression of the game. Example: You can bypass other side quests but can't get passed the fences to the Great Bay unless you get Epona back, so you HAVE to at least save the ranch and Romani on the first day in order to get her. The side quest with Cremia is technically optional but the game progress already has it set for you to continue it so why not? It also adds to the seriousness and mature nature of the Kafei/Anju sidequest. I would also like to add a major connection between OoT and MM if the later was indeed a "dream" of Link's. In OoT when Link goes back to Lon Lon Ranch as an adult Malon is too distraught(possibly traumatized) to recognize Link due to the harsh treatment and abuse of Ingo to the horses(and probably her as well). In MM the "Gorman brothers" look like Ingo and they basically harass Romani Ranch and try sabotaging Cremia's shipment. Link would have still remembered what Ingo did in the adult timeline so him being represented as a bad guy(s) in MM is fitting. Personally I loved the way Cremia and her relationship with Kafei and broken friendship with Anju were subtly portrayed with the game storyline. You can tell that so many people knew she was in love with Kafei, even Anju's mom accusing him of leaving her daughter for Cremia when he went missing(still didn't stop Anju's mom from heading to Romani Ranch for safety ironically) so it's bittersweet to watch Cremia's reactions. Even with losing her parents, being harassed and robbed by rival ranchers, and finally losing Kafei to Anju, she was still trying to live her life and provide for her sister! She was even willing to let Anju and her family stay with her on the 3rd day after all the bad blood between them. She really was ridiculously strong and I really admired her character. With Cremia being portrayed as such a indept character it makes me wonder what adult Malon was truly like to Link in OoT after all she went through and how he reacted around young Malon with knowing such a dark possible future?
I am completely certain that Link ended up with Zelda in Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, and Breath of the Wild. Those three were easily the best Zelink ships. BotW Zelink is my favorite and I am super excited to see how it develops even further in the sequel. It may have been more subtle than in SS, but they hadn't had much of a chance to fall in love in the past before they started saving each other's lives and she _was_ the princess after all while he was only a soldier... but that's part of the beauty, ain't it? Their relationship would have developed later on after they defeated Calamity Ganon. As a side note, I think that Link and Malon make the most sense in OoT, and Link and Ilia make the most sense in TP, regardless of my personal feelings on the subject.
Agreed. I think SS is the most obvious and Botw has tons of evidence yet is more subtle. I think there is a good argument to be made for WW Zelda/Tetra, though it may be less than botw and SS, but it's still very valid
@@Zeldom The Hero and the Princess of the Wild are such a cute couple too. They have saved each other's lives, spent a lot of time together, opened up about their most personal struggles to each other, saved the world side by side, and they have a lot more to do in the near future in a creepy quest while being hunted by Calamity Ganondorf! Oh, and let's not forget the most important part: Zelda once tried to feed Link a live frog. See? True love.
@@warrioroflight6872 Also in the AoC demo if Zelda is present (and playable) during a fight and a character captures a keep, there is a chance she comment's on it. If it's Impa (her loyal friend and aide) she says: "Brilliant, that was a stunning performance." If it's Link: "Masterfully accomplished, Link. I'm so glad you're here." Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but that is quite a difference in tone.
I feel like Irene is in the early stages of developing a crush on Link, personally. It might just be because I'm a weeb, so I just immediately assume that any tsundere has a crush on the protagonist, but she has a fair few lines telling Link to look after himself and generally worrying over him in the second half of the game, and once you've rescued all the sages and are getting the Triforce, she's the only one who tells Link to be careful in the final battle; the rest all just tell him to get on with it so that everyone can get back to their lives.
No I definitely think that Irene was a potentially candidate, but I think that her character (along with most others from the game except for Hilda and Ravio) was really underdeveloped so I couldn't give much evidence to give a good conclusion. I try to do an analysis based on the facts and some emotional interpretation, but in some cases there's just not enough to go off of. If I had to pick one I would do Irene over Zelda for albw
he is legit pretty awesome. his arc is one of the best in any Zelda game for a non-Triforce bearer (Link, Zelda, Ganon). seeing him develop and mature was really interesting, going from a pompous asshole on Skyloft to more of a go-getter dedicated to protecting the Sealed Temple from The Imprisoned.
Let's be honest, the best ship for Link is always the harem option. On a more serious note: what are your thoughts on the different Links being related? We know that TP is a blood descendant of the Hero of Time, but WW Link is not. I'm of the opinion that we should assume no blood relation between different Links unless told orherwise.
I don't think there is a Hero's bloodline except from OoT and TP as well. I like to think Link and Zelda in SS ended up together and since there obviously is a bloodline of Hylia, that means that same bloodline would apply to the Links if it were true, which I sure hope not...
In my personal uninformed opinion, WW has no blood connections with the other Links. He was chosen by the gods to be the next hero of the respective timeline for powering up the sword and repairing the triforce.
Most of the Links aren't related at all. All Zeldas would be descendants of the first Link but that doesn't make them related to the other Links. We know Hero's Shade is OoT Link and is the great grand parent of TP Link but unless something happened in between generations with Hero of Time's descendants and Zelda's, there's no relation there. A long running theory has been that the Uncle from A Link to the Past is a "Link" but we've never really gotten an answer. Just that he's descended from a line of Knights just like most Links have been (i.e. OoT Link's father) The most important connection between each Link is the "spirit of the Hero", so really they never have to be related, plus there's rarely more than one Link living in each crisis. I'd be more impressed if we were to find that Ganondorf is descended from some Link that existed between Skyward Sword and OoT.
@@ReaperShadow23 Yes there isn't a bloodline of the heroes except from OoT to TP. People can speculate, but there clearly are issues between some games that prevent it from being possible
11:03 To me, this is the most frustrating thing in the series. Every time I play SS again, I get mad because they don't kiss. And when they fly together just before Ghirahim's tornado, it looks like she was gonna confess her love to him.
11:26 I really like how calm or monotone he sounds while saying," then she makes me want to punch my tv" that to will always make me have a small smile or smirk on my face.
Me too. SS was the first game that made me a Zelda fan when I got to middle school, and I always wanted just to see what their lives were like afterwards.
Why I always shipped Twilight Princess Link with Zelda Reason 1) Zelda looked like me the most in this game this girl has a thirst for that Link. That's it.
That's all the reason you need for head-canon. Honestly that's exactly how I felt with SS Zelda and Malon until I made this video and found reasons to justify it. I always liked Ilia, but after learning more about Midna I thought a MidLink could work well too. But I think that end scene shuts that down pretty well.
I ship them in Twilight princess as well because the girl I have a crush on looks like TP Zelda and so I like to imagine me as TP Link and her as TP Zelda
Personally, I actually think that oot link ended up with Zelda rather than Malon. We know from the flashback in Majora's Mask that Link still holds a friendship with her, and thinks of her fondly. The Song of Time is even described as a Song of Memories of Princess Zelda. People say that Link and Zelda can't get together because Link is just a peasant but he is anything but. At the beginning of Majora's Mask, it says that the legend of the hero of time is passed down dearly by the Royal Family, proving that he earned their trust and respect. In Twilight Princess, various different characters mention the hero of time as an ancient and revered hero, proving he still great deeds in the child timeline that earned him recognition. I fail to see how Link's status would be a roadblock in this case given how close he is to the royal family and princess zelda. This could especially be the case since in medieval times, marriage was often instituted as a way of respect towards a person. ("for saving my kingdom I'll let you marry my daughter" kind of thing) TP Link actually isn't a farmer either, he works for Fado, who's the real owner of the ranch, Fado just asking Link to help him out with the goats from time to time. He's not a hired hand. Also, TP Link having Epona and knowing Epona's Song really only implies connections to the Hero of Time, as Epona's Song is not bound to Malon's family alone. Tp Link is also the only hylian in Ordon Village, which paints a pretty stark contrast between him and the other Ordonians. As for why TP Link isn't a noble, that's actually pretty simple. Hundreds of years have passed since Majora's Mask. It's been so long that the royal blood has faded. It's most likely that if the Hero of Time did end up with Zelda, they had at least two children or more, one who would inherit the throne, and the other settling down elsewhere with their family. This would especially be true if the younger child was a boy, as only the daughters of the royal family are blessed with Hylia's sealing power. This younger child is the ancestor of TP Link, and I believe the place they settled down in was none other than the Snowpeak Mansion. Snowpeak Mansion has close connections to Hyrule. The crest is even found in Zelda's Bedroom, proving there is a connection between them. I think it was originally made during the Gerudo-Hylian War to act as a military fortress and training academy, but afterwards, when the structure was no longer needed as a training ground, the younger child of the Hero of Time and Princess Zelda made this place their home, and home that many of their descendants would live in for generations. This mansion shows signs of a rich family living here once, with paintings of familiar landscapes such as Ordon Ranch, Hyrule Castle, but also the Arbiter's Grounds, the Sacred Grove, and the City in the Sky. How on earth a normal family managed to gain access to these locations, especially the City in the Sky, is a mystery, UNLESS the people who lived there were the descendants of the Hero of Time, who most likely traveled to these locations more than once. The Hero of Time could have painted them, or one of his children, descendants, who knows. There are also portraits of who looks to be Rauru and Queen Rutella in the ruins as well. Rauru is the sage of light and acted as a guide for the Hero of Time, but he is also connected to the Royal Family. He wears red, a color sported by many Hyrulean Kings, and in the wind waker, his stained glass portrait features the symbol of the royal family above his head. This gives me reason to believe Rauru could have been a past King of Hyrule, perhaps its first King. His close connections to the Hero of Time also give me reason that Link or one of his children made the mansion their home, as the Hero's Shade bears many similarities to Rauru himself. They are both able to transform into an animal form, act as mentors to their respective heroes, and even have a similar color scheme of gold and red. As for Rutella, this ties back to my theory about the mansion once being a military base/academy, but rather than being used to train hylians, it was used to train Zoras for war. Zora's Domain is interestingly located very close to Snowpeak, and in this game, they are far more militarized than in Ocarina of Time, who had no weapons whatsoever. There are also connections to Ordon found within the mansion. You can find an Ordon Pumpkin and Ordon Cheese in the ruins, which suggests that the people who owned this manor had some connections to that wooded area of Hyrule. This place I believe was a favorite of the Hero of Time's family, explaining the food and the painting of Ordon Ranch. Due to the fact that this place was one of their favorites, after the family left the mansion, perhaps due to the growing cold of the mountains, monsters, etc, a small portion of their family decided to make their home in Ordon. As a way to honor their ancestor, they fashioned their home into the trunk of a large tree, one that TP Link lives in. This explains why TP Link is the only hylian in the village. His family only arrived there shortly before or after Link's birth, and by this time, the royal blood has faded. One last thing: Although the amiibo aren't explicitly canon, the hero of time amiibo in breath of the wild drops not only the Hero of Time's clothing set, but a number of weapons as well. Three of which are weapons used by knights. The soldier's broadsword, the knight's claymore, and the Royal Claymore. While this doesn't necessarily prove my Zelink theory, it does prove that Link was a highly respected knight and perhaps even a military leader, so him being in possession of a mansion like Snowpeak makes a lot of sense given his high-ranking status. So even if his deeds as the Hero of Time were forgotten, his exploits as a military leader were likely not. It could be that very few knew he was actually the hero of time, but thought that Link and the Hero were two separate people. This could explain, if Link did marry Zelda, why no one ever refers to him as the King or Prince of Hyrule. To many of the common folk, the King of Hyrule and the Hero of Time were two different people entirely.
Noted. This was the second video I ever did a voiceover for, so I was still figuring out the balance. I was doing -12 to -14 dB for the music then, but in my more recent videos I've been setting the music to either -14 to -16 dB
I love this vid and I agree with the info and facts you say and I understand the shipping for link in those games..........but I will always ship LinkXMidna cuz that is one of my most favorite link ships on the legend of zelda games
I know it's cliché but my favorite love scene between the Hero of Time and Zelda is in Majora's Mask when Link is about to watch the world be annihilated by the moon. It feels like certain doom awaits Link as Skullkid laughs down on him and Tatl is freaking out. Then, a flashback plays with Zelda's theme, breaking the tense atmosphere of the previous scene. She teaches him the song that allows him to reverse time over and over for the rest of the game. And that's it. It's the only reference of Zelda in the game, but it's such a powerful moment because the Hero of Time's love of Zelda is so potent that it actually transcends dimensions. That, in my opinion, is beautiful. Imagine loving someone so much you'd randomly think of them right before you were about to die in another reality.
It's not really dimension..it's more outside of Hyrule is how I saw it since he was searching for Navi but yes the fact the moon was crushing and whom does he think about Zelda. The thing is Link was sent back in time as a child...even reunited with her despite she wanted him to relive his lost years. He couldn't forget about her and they grew close enough that she regave him the ocarina of time before he left to find Navi.
I feel that it was a reference to Ruto, yeah it could be interpreted as Zelda saying that but she barely knows Link. They met for a brief second, and you don't have to go back and see Zelda until you've obtained all the spiritual stones, where she's fleeing the castle so you can't even talk to her, unless it's the love at 1st sight trope I don't find this likely. I don't disagree with the outcome, I just feel this needs mentioning and expanding upon.
Agreed I could have done more with Sheiks line bc there's definitely some analysis. After all the other Link's loves parts in the future (which may take a while) I'll probably remake each of these sections in their own unique videos so I can go into more depth for each.
This is my first video I’ve seen from you, and I really enjoyed it! The editing was polished and the subject content was refreshing. I’m excited to see more from you in the future.
Glad you enjoyed it! This was one of my earliest videos so I think my editing wasn't as good back then, but I'm glad you still thought it was done well!
Irene does have a little merit because of her broom. A witch's broom is going to be a normal object in the hands of anyone except the owner, unless the witch decides to allow it to work for another. I can't imagine just "friends" would have permission. And if we look at the broom as less object and more akin to an animal, the point still stands. Hyrule doesn't seem to care for witches, as every game with them has them away from settlements.
Agreed with Irene. I think I did say she had something to her in the video, but it just wasn't enough for me to make a call. Plus they had just met in the game and before you know it she's captured by Yuga so even if there was, there wasn't enough time in-game to tell.
Even though Ilya and Link probably would have had a longer relationship, I still think Midna was a better match, considering that Link and Midna's contrasting personalities make great foils to each other.
I might be a little late, but the moment 13:42 when I was first playing the game was hard, I mean it's literally the first time we've seen link show real emotions and wildly express them, and mostly in his normal happy go lucky way. But then they show him and Zelda both crying as she seals her self away. Like damn man
Thanks! Will do! I will be splitting it up into more parts, probably one for each Link and after that remaking this video in that format, but I definitely will get more of this content since so many people seem to love it (and so do I).
TP Link barely knows Zelda, so I think the only real candidates from TP are Midna and Ilia. I think Midna is much better for Link because they spend more time together throughout the game, she is more of a stronger woman than Ilia, and she is not as much as a damsel in distress. You actually see her change throughout the game. Ilia remains pretty much the same.
I don't think the need for a "strong" female character really matters in shipping the characters. I do think MidLink is a perfectly valid ship if the mirror wasn't destroyed
I don't think the need for a "strong" female character really matters in shipping the characters. I do think MidLink is a perfectly valid ship if the mirror wasn't destroyed
If you actually pay attention to what Telma says to Link about how brave Ilia is, it shows that she is strong too. Not magically obviously. I love Ilia and Link’s relationship, I just wish there was more mentions of them. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate Midna and him.
That's from a Gameplay point of View tho from a Story point of view Ilia is the one Link know the best , plus the main reason Link left on his journey was to save Ilia and the childrens and after he did he was already to deep into the whole story to just turn back and let Hyrule to themselves as not only did Zelda sacrificed herself to help Midna leaving Hyrule without a ruler but Link also had a little *Vengence* to do against Zant for what he did Plus Midna change of goal (going from only wanting to help the Twilight Realm to helping both) wasn't only because of Link but also in big part because of Zelda's Sacrifice
Awesome video and some great research was done! In OoT I thought before I finished the game that Link and Zelda were gonna be the best match but since Zelda sent Link back, they didn’t have that bond they did when they were adults so it really just ended up being Malon who he had a pretty good relationship with. The Legend Of Zelda can have some crazy things to make you think. Keep up the good work man!
Honestly I don't even think they have that strong of a bond as adults. After all, they had only met once before as children and Link never knew Sheik was Zelda until the end of the game, so he barely knew her. I still think after he returns to the child timeline and sees Zelda in unison with the MM flashback that they developed their friendship, but I think overall Malon is a much more likely romantic partner than Zelda.
The fact if you watch the credits when he is sent back in time...it ends with him reuniting with child Zelda. And though OOT Zelda only appears in a flashback in Majora's mask to learn the song of time again. Link grew close to Zelda that she entrust him with the Ocarina of Time before he left for his journey to find Navi. And he's in a daze still like he's continuing to think about her...nothing with Malon.
@@Zeldom Now i finished the video and i can tell, that you put a lot of effort in it. I hope that your channel will grow fast. A passionate Zelda Fan who likes romance is needed xD And your voice is pleasent to hear Regarding the video. Everything you said makes sense and i really like Skyward Sword Link with his Zelda and Ocarina of Time Link with Malon. You mentioned details even i didn't think of, and i considered myself to be a... kinda obsessive shipper. When i like a pairing, i usually pick up on even the smallest details, but this time, i have to admit "defeat", if there even is something like that. When it comes to Twilight Princss... again, you're right in everything you said, but my heart will always belong to Link and Midna. Their (possible) love couldn't be, but i think there were hints at romantic feelings between them. Argh... don't mind me too much, it just seems that i can't get over that ending, even after all these years xD Anyway, it was a very fun video. I really look forward to part 2 and any future videos aswell, of course. Keep it up^^
25:56 my mind went to the gutter. “Link may not have shining armor, but he does make a good knight.” Just change knight to night and Link makes a good night for Malon.😂
You can't convince me that Link and Midna didn't at LEAST experiment with a relationship at some point during their adventure. Their chemistry was just too good! Even if things didn't work out in the end, the two of them definitely had feelings for one another.
If you go on the theory that every Link is reincarnated to a different bloodline except the Hero of Time and Twilight being related, then it is theoretically possible that Link ends up with Zelda in every game except OoT in any of the three timelines. The SS Manga hints at this, that Hylia fell in love with her mortal champion and would have them reincarnated anytime evil would arise to work together to stop it. SS - Zelda, Nintendo pretty much came out and said she was the love interest. Link stayed with her on the surface and she even gave him a choice on his fate..he didn't hesitate to stay with her. Minish Cap- They were childhood friends because King Daltus and Link's grandfather were close friends as well. Zelda left the castle alone a lot to go see Link and wanted to go to the Picori festival with him. She chose a shield as a prize instead of jewels and said Link could "protect" her. I'd say very likely these two ended up together. Daltun would probably approve considering what Link did for Hyrule. Ocarina of Time - Adult timeline- Had Zelda not sent him back, they end up together. Wind Waker/PH - Link and Tetra/Zelda are made for each other. Link won over Tetra through his courage, she apologized for treating him the way she did originally and she was worried about him because of his recklessness as she repeatedly tells him early in the game. She saved him from Ganondorf in the second visit to the Forsaken Fortress. Link gets visibly angry when anything happens to her and even Ganondorf tells Link to chill about trying to save Tetra/Zelda when she is sleeping. Everything Link does in Phantom Hourglass is to save Tetra and one of the final cutscenes before the final battle hints heavily Tetra returns his feelings. Most importantly, Link left his younger sister and elderly grandmother behind to go with her. The soldiers in New Hyrule wear his green tunic in his honor. Tetra personality tells me she is not going to end up with some random person. These two ended up together. Spirit Tracks - The entire game is them first becoming friends and the ending shows Link and Zelda holding hands and Link even tightens his grip on her hand showing he loves her. They ended up together as well. Child timeline - They're still close friends but Link knows he is not the Hero of Time in this timeline and I like the idea of Zelda still having feelings for him. Link honorably becomes a knight but refuses promotion despite his sword skills being as they always are otherworldly. He ends up with Malon because the Zelda in this timeline will never be able to understand him the way she did in the Adult timeline. He still protects her and the kingdom but dies rather young which is why he regrets not being able to pass on his skills. Twilight Princess - Midna and Link have a close bond but most likely Midna destroyed the only portal to the twilight realm and its hinted she did this to prevent anything from happening again. Illa is possible and she does care more about Link than people think. She didn't want him to leave at the beginning of the game and used Epona as an excuse to try and stop him. Link likely became a knight and it is possible him and Zelda spend more time together and possibly developed feeling for each other. Four Swords Adventure - They already were friends, I could see them ending up together. Fallen timeline - All Nintendo states is Link was "defeated" by Ganon in that final battle. I like the idea he sacrifices himself to save Zelda from Ganon which is why he is still remembered as a hero. Zelda 1 & 2 - Most likely in each game. Oracle Games - She gives him a kiss on the cheek at the end of Seasons/Ages linked game. ALttP - Link between Worlds hints at this with the painting displayed supposedly front and center of the castle, I'd say likely. Link Between Worlds - We don't know about Link but Rumor Guy says Zelda loves looking at the painting of A Link to the Past Link and Zelda hinting she wants a similar relationship with Link from ABW. Breath of the Wild - Zelda falls in love with him and the diaries from Zelda, Mipha, and Daruk hint he has feelings for her. Mipha couldn't get Link to open up despite being his childhood friend and she loved him, Zelda managed to and realized he didn't despise her as she thought and clearly cared for her on a more personal level based on a couple of cut scenes. Daruk mentioned in his how the two opened up to each other but Daruk thinks it's because of food, not because they have similar problems. Ever since Twilight Princess where there wasn't much interaction between the two, Nintendo has heavily hinted the two together in future installments.
Dude you and I seem to have very similar views for each of the games. Obviously I have to analyze more options for the point of the video, but I think most of these are my conclusions
@@Zeldom I actually had planned on doing a video similar to ones like yours and others on valentines day next year because so many people either over analyze or under analyze their relationship . The most important point why I think Link and Zelda are made for each other is if you go off the SS Manga while not canon makes the most sense and honestly is really sweet when you think about. An immortal goddess falls in love with her mortal champion who gives up his life selflessly after all the suffering he went through to save her from Demise and she cradles his dead body in her arms crying and vows to give up her immortality so she can reincarnate with him forever to stop evil any time it threatens the world. Ironically, Demise's curse at the end of SS actually creates endless love between the two because they are forced to reincarnate to stop the evil. I see your favorite paring of the two is the Skyward Sword Pairing. If those two didn't end up together, then Nintendo and Miyamoto and Aonuma need to end hinting at it and just say they don't ever end up together. My favorite pairing of the two will always be Link and Tetra/Zelda with BOTW, SS, and ST parings somewhere between my 2-4 rankings. LinkxTetra are made for each other and I love the idea of Link winning over Zelda when she doesn't like him at first just like he always does to at least someone in each game (Navi, Tatl, Tetra, Midna, Groose, and Zelda/Ravali in BOTW). When I was younger, I didn't bother seeing them together. But as I gotten older and replayed a lot of the games, it's obvious they're made for each other.
Me too. Options are limited for ST, but that was my very first Zelda game ever. I consider SS my first bc that's what made me get into the series when I was in middle school, but ST has a special place in my heart and I can't wait to analyze that game.
Skyward Sword Link and Zelda own my whole heart, I really went the whole game genuinely thinking ‘I need to find Zelda and marry her’ over other games where I feel as though I have to help her/save her because the game requires me to. It helps that they’re both so expressive in the game from their faces to their body language. It’s just too sweet
I'm probably going to have to split it into multiple videos. After I've done all the other Links I may redo each Link from this video as well because I think I can do a better job. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'll try to get another Link's Loves out within the next month or two.
Wow, I thought this was a sarcastic video. But it was actually engaging, and I really liked it. I haven't played many The Legend Of Zelda games, so I can't confirm nor deny all Link's romances. But I think Link x Midna, Link x Malon and Link x Skyward Sword's Zelda are my favourite ships
37:48 "...And then all of the Ganon crap happens, but let's not worry about that right now, because we're too busy focusing on the lovelives of fictional characters." I'm dying 🤣
40:00 for those of us that take Hyrule Warriors as cannon. Ilia as TP romance is reinforced. It happens after TP and Link is in the army not part of the royal family. Again as a descendant if Zelda was the mother Link wouldn't be some rando footman that proves himself early on. The relationship with Ilia is reinforced that Link wanted to join the army/guard to make the world a better place as his father did, but takes the initiative to train and be alert rather than having an adventure fall into his lap.
That's what I've been thinking, but I haven't played the original Hyrule Warriors so I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to get the game soon. I did make a mistake in the video bc Link actually is riding away from Ordon, not towards, but that does imply he went to Ordon and saw Ilia before departing again. I think it makes perfect sense that he would become a knight for Hyrule but still occasionally return to his home to see everyone, especially Ilia and eventually end up with her.
I always thought link was riding away from ordon village at the end. Figured he would have become a drifter and find another adventure or people who need help. I do like the idea of him going back home and enjoying the rest of his life though, my dude deserves it
I think I was wrong. I've had a couple of other people say the same thing so I used noclip and determined he was riding away. However that does mean that he did return to Ordon at some point after the game and he must have had that reunion with Zelda. Why he was leaving again I don't know, but I do still think he settled down with Ilia. After all Link was about 18 (maybe 19 tops) and Ilia is estimated to be around 16-17 so they have some time before they settle.
Could also have left to become a Hylian knight and comes back to the village whenever he's not required to be at the castle. Definitely agree that TP link ended up with illia though. That version of link and Zelda seemed to have a relationship based on a mutual respect more than a romantic one. Link and illia seemed to have something similar to SS link and Zelda, which makes more sense
OOT Zelink for me. Miyamoto calling it a romantic adventure, Ruto claiming than Zelda is all Link could think about and the Manga clearly put some weight on it. And that ending....
People aren't going to say the manga is canon. Despite the fact Miyamoto had said he wanted to show what he couldn't in the games...like more of Link's personality, how he got the ear piercing (a rite of passage for the Sheikah males. As Impa was stronger swordsman than Link and she trained him to be better) or how he lost the Fairy Ocarina. Malon/Link shippers can't accept it. Even though they barely interact. Even in the game had more ship tease with Link/Zelda.....such a Ruto addressing that Link is looking for Zelda when he enters the water temple. I found it cute they met as children in the manga...when Zelda was in disguise (as the gossip stone had mentioned because she's tomboyish)...Link already was crushing on her before learning she was the princess.....and she wished him luck by kissing him on the cheek. Awwwww. He also was asked if OOT Link had a girlfriend...and he addressed how he would love it be Zelda. The fact the manga is so heavily Zelink....say Malon who had started developing feelings for him had realized Link's heart belong to Zelda and accepted it. Ruto had shown jealousy. Plus I actually thought when Link and Zelda finally reunited in the adult timeline that they were about to kiss before they were interrupted. Even Majora's Mask the brief cameo appearance of Zelda shown they gotten close to the point that she gave him the Ocarina of Time to take with him on their journey. This more likely do to the timelines that they developed a bond. As Zelda knew he was familiar unknowingly because of the adult timeline. Even when remembering the song Deku Link is still in a daze when thinking about her...hehehe. Another hint implying a crush. More reasons to me why I want to believe OOT Link and Zelda did get together.
Well Skyward Sword's first interactions remind me of some sort of high-school drama. They went for a more developed bond between characters and not just plot driven.
Great video, one of the main reasons i love SS is the solid romance between link & zelda. (The opening title screen music from OoT is so good man im glad u threw that in there lol)
Rafael Knight
A Knight's duty to the Crown you could say.

I dunno if any other commenters have mentioned this, but at the end of Twilight Princess, Link is riding *away* from Ordon village, not towards it.
All I need is SS ZeLink to be true... ok and MaLink. I love Malon too...
@@Zeldom Malon is a great character. She's gotta be my favorite female Zelda character besides Zelda herself.
LOVED IT!!
@@SashGirl34 Yeah, the Zelda manga are great, especially Twilight Princess
Yay Malon ftw!

Same. I do think that that changes Link, and makes Link realize that he wants more out of his life than being a rancher will get him.
@@Zeldom Youre a monster bro. 🤣

@@mukakruda8474Yeah!
Thank God I'm not the only one.

Woe is me.
My theory is that he searched for a way to Midna first for some time, but eventually gave up and returned to Ordon, where he got on with Ilia

I always knew that Malon was the best option for Link and now i was finally able to confirm it.
Awesome video!!! Can't wait for part 2
Glad you liked it! Another part is coming out around December 15
The girl from the fishing hole in Twilight Princess doesn't even get a mention? SHE'S THE BEST GIRL

What about the knight girl?
@@Fermin-hw5pd She's a fighter, not a lover.

Yes Marina!!!

I'm glad to see someone who appreciates the OoT Malink and Majora's Mask Cremia/Romani relations as well.
@@Zeldom
The Hero and the Princess of the Wild are such a cute couple too. They have saved each other's lives, spent a lot of time together, opened up about their most personal struggles to each other, saved the world side by side, and they have a lot more to do in the near future in a creepy quest while being hunted by Calamity Ganondorf!

I guess, but I haven't played that one yet, so I can't really judge right now.
If I had to pick one I would do Irene over Zelda for albw
groose is the best character in skyward sword, change my mind.
I can't change your mind because I agree
he is legit pretty awesome. his arc is one of the best in any Zelda game for a non-Triforce bearer (Link, Zelda, Ganon). seeing him develop and mature was really interesting, going from a pompous asshole on Skyloft to more of a go-getter dedicated to protecting the Sealed Temple from The Imprisoned.
Groose is the Sidon of Skyward Sword
OoT Link's father)
The most important connection between each Link is the "spirit of the Hero", so really they never have to be related, plus there's rarely more than one Link living in each crisis.

Why I always shipped Twilight Princess Link with Zelda
Reason 1) Zelda looked like me the most in this game this girl has a thirst for that Link.
("for saving my kingdom I'll let you marry my daughter" kind of thing)
TP Link actually isn't a farmer either, he works for Fado, who's the real owner of the ranch, Fado just asking Link to help him out with the goats from time to time.
General critique! I'd recommend lowering the volume of the music a bit so that it's easier to hear you! Great vid tho!
Noted. This was the second video I ever did a voiceover for, so I was still figuring out the balance. I was doing -12 to -14 dB for the music then, but in my more recent videos I've been setting the music to either -14 to -16 dB
@@Zeldom I actually found it fine
I love this vid and I agree with the info and facts you say and I understand the shipping for link in those games..........but I will always ship LinkXMidna cuz that is one of my most favorite link ships on the legend of zelda games
It's a good ship
He ends up with Malon idiots. He remembers Zelda because she taught him the Song of Time which will help in his quest. Nothing to do with love.
After all the other Link's loves parts in the future (which may take a while) I'll probably remake each of these sections in their own unique videos so I can go into more depth for each.
part 2 hypeeeee
fr tho your channel is extremely underrated i have high hopes to see your future videos
It is still fairly new after all. Thanks I'll do my best to keep increasing quality.
People ship Link and Tema?!?! ....well that’s a new one on me 😳😰
Yeah I didn't know that either until I did some research... who am I to judge
I don't get that one. Telma had a thing for Renado...
I've some it..... it's not pretty....... most definitely something you cannot unsee.....
@@abbygriffin9105 Telma is a flirty lady
I honestly thought he was going to say Agitha. I was like “What? Telma!?”
I thought Link's love in Twilight was Midna. I mean heck, she rode him almost the entire game!
🗿
also come to Jesus if you haven't, he loves you :)
@@faby_baby What does a dude in Mexico have to do with Link?
Mexico?
@@sendmegrace Jesus was Mexican
Even though Ilya and Link probably would have had a longer relationship, I still think Midna was a better match, considering that Link and Midna's contrasting personalities make great foils to each other.
I might be a little late, but the moment 13:42 when I was first playing the game was hard, I mean it's literally the first time we've seen link show real emotions and wildly express them, and mostly in his normal happy go lucky way. But then they show him and Zelda both crying as she seals her self away. Like damn man
Great video! I‘m really excited for not only part 2, but also for what‘s to come on this channel in the future. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Will do! I will be splitting it up into more parts, probably one for each Link and after that remaking this video in that format, but I definitely will get more of this content since so many people seem to love it (and so do I).
Still a better love story than Twilight.
OH SHI-
Twilight's love story was a bit underwhelming, but the game is still great!
I watched a playtrough of TP, and when the uploader reached the Ilia scenes, he named the episode "Twilight, better love story than Twilight" xd
@@Zeldom well now when i say that line and people think im talking about vampires i can say "no legend of Zelda"
The first time that joke is rather clever, noce one
Link & Ilia grew up together...
If you actually pay attention to what Telma says to Link about how brave Ilia is, it shows that she is strong too. Not magically obviously. I love Ilia and Link’s relationship, I just wish there was more mentions of them. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate Midna and him.
That's from a Gameplay point of View tho from a Story point of view Ilia is the one Link know the best , plus the main reason Link left on his journey was to save Ilia and the childrens and after he did he was already to deep into the whole story to just turn back and let Hyrule to themselves as not only did Zelda sacrificed herself to help Midna leaving Hyrule without a ruler but Link also had a little *Vengence* to do against Zant for what he did
Plus Midna change of goal (going from only wanting to help the Twilight Realm to helping both) wasn't only because of Link but also in big part because of Zelda's Sacrifice
Honestly I 100% agree with your picks, honestly I've been arguing for the canonicity of these picks for a long time so this video is very validating.
Glad you liked it!
@@Zeldom OoT never thought in depth about things that were not related to the main story
This my type of video! I'm a sucker for romance and ships! I'll subscribe for part 2
Same here
@@Zeldom Now i finished the video and i can tell, that you put a lot of effort in it. I hope that your channel will grow fast. A passionate Zelda Fan who likes romance is needed xD And your voice is pleasent to hear
Regarding the video. Argh... don't mind me too much, it just seems that i can't get over that ending, even after all these years xD
Anyway, it was a very fun video. I really look forward to part 2 and any future videos aswell, of course. Keep it up^^
My feelings for Mipha in Botw
"we're too busy discussing the love lives of fictional characters", AWESOME LINE
16:20 I loved this: "Sorry, I've given the facts, and I'm right." Yes you are sir... yes you are.
Zeldom: "So, for the Ocarina of Time it looks like it's down to Zelda and Malon."
Also Zeldom: *Also shows Ordon Village*
Me: Yes!! Malon wins!!
Malon ftw :)
Ocarina of Time -
Adult timeline- Had Zelda not sent him back, they end up together.
@@CountBleck-vc5um iirc the SS manga was included in hyrule historia - wouldn't that make it canon?
Link seems to have a thing for ranch girls eh? Fitting, I suppose, considering just how humble his beginnings are in most games.
Exited for the Spirit Tracks one!
Me too. Options are limited for ST, but that was my very first Zelda game ever. I consider SS my first bc that's what made me get into the series when I was in middle school, but ST has a special place in my heart and I can't wait to analyze that game.
@@Zeldom It is my favorite DS game and favorite Zelda game. Waiting for my opinion to change when I get WW and SS.
8:38 - "Speaking of Zelda, let's get into her... Uh, I mean... Let's talk about her!"
I see what you did there!!!
I was under the impression each Link is not a blood descendant of each other, but more like the Avatar.
Twilight Link is definitely a descendant of Ocarina Link.
None of the rest are necessarily related.
Great video, can’t wait for part 2
I'm probably going to have to split it into multiple videos. After I've done all the other Links I may redo each Link from this video as well because I think I can do a better job. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'll try to get another Link's Loves out within the next month or two.
Wow, I thought this was a sarcastic video. But it was actually engaging, and I really liked it. I haven't played many The Legend Of Zelda games, so I can't confirm nor deny all Link's romances. But I think Link x Midna, Link x Malon and Link x Skyward Sword's Zelda are my favourite ships
Awesome I'm glad you enjoyed. The next one will be uploaded sometime soon before the end of the month. It's taking me forever to make it
37:48 "...And then all of the Ganon crap happens, but let's not worry about that right now, because we're too busy focusing on the lovelives of fictional characters."
I'm dying 🤣
Dude, I'm glad you are presenting the facts and showing the most likely match.
Yeah that's the whole point, otherwise it would only be my opinion and make the videos less relevant
@SashGirl34 You both could like my Zelink OOT Sfm ;) go to watch my chapter Hero of time, they finally Kissed! :D !
I really enjoyed this video. Your evidence for each match was great!

@@Zeldom you’re welcome it’s a good quality video
Well Skyward Sword's first interactions remind me of some sort of high-school drama. They went for a more developed bond between characters and not just plot driven.
Nothing can top the brotherly love of Link and Groose
The best Zelda princess is from twilight princess. She really shines as a hylian princess, a warrior too, she doesn't seem weak. 🎉🎉
