I was between semesters in early 1973 and the watched Hollywood Squares every day. I remember the show the day after Wally Cox died. Peter Marshall made an announcement before the show started that Cox had died. At the time, seeing Cox daily on the show, he was like a family member. Fifty years later it seems so distant and insignificant, but at the time it hit me hard.
I graduated high school in 72, love seeing the older actors, all gone now. We’ve been watching Wally Cox on the old Mister Peepers show. Quite good for its time of early tv in 1952-1954
Went to see Jethro Tull do “ Thick as a Brick “ Was definitely an epic performance! So sad it was never filmed or even recorded properly live. That still makes me sad
When they were talking about the man from Florida being 130 years of age, I had to look that up because nobody has lived that long as of yet as far as they can prove. It turned out that he made up a lot of stories. After doing some research, they figured he was anywhere from 100 to 105 when he died. The oldest person to date has been a 122 year old from France.
You have been wrong throughout your life and even many more times you will be. Being wrong does not make you or anyone an idiot and you never deserved being called as such. The Lord bless you much abundantly having your cup overflowing. I am so sorry of whom or what people had, has, is continuously doing to you, it never is okay---know that.

Sandra Dee, always so adorable!
Loved this show and Paul Lynde makes me laugh even now days !
All those celebrities who were all over TV back in my day that my grandchildren have never heard of .
Sandra Dee is beautiful as always.
Oh my gosh.. I swear that all of the game shows gave away Rice A Roni (the SF treat)! It's such a flashback.

Wally Cox still remained until the day of his passing on 2/15/1973.
Even after that as a few episodes had been recorded, but had not aired yet. They made an announcement before the shows to avoid confusion.
That's a righteous jacket Peter Marshall is wearing.
Was this the night time version of the game ? In the early 70's evening clothes were wilder than the daytime fashions.
Karen Valentine is just an angel!❤
1972,to be so very exact.Paul Lynde was still a regular off & on at the time. One on the Network & the Syndicated version of the show.
This must have been recorded right after the movie The Daughters of Joshua Cabe with Sandra Dee and Karen Valentine.
that was a great movie. Didnt they become friends? Two cuties
Paul Lynde helped me laugh to cope with life s problems !
We know, you have told us so many times.
Sandra Dee, enough for me!
Karen Valentine. wow
Check out reruns of the TV show Room 222.
@@everready19373 Way ahead of you in that game. Dig up the Starsky & Hutch ep where she's the guest star.
I've always adored her. Can't explain. I simply adore her. Actually, perhaps I CAN explain but won't right-now!
Hollywood Squares With Peter Marshall is a Educational Game of Knowledge and you learn a lot

Karen Valentine...❤❤😘😘😍
Totally brother!
Most of the time Peter Marshall would wear suit and tie . He wore tennis shorts but you couldn't see them.
Start at 13:26 for Secret Square sound. Note to self.
I was 11 years old.
Peter looks like he borrowed one of Doc's outfits from the Tonight Show
What's up with the playback?

No fact checking back then. :)
At least six of the stars are now dead plus Peter Marshall....not sure about Joey Bishop. I loved this show.
Marshall is alive (at this time) at age 90. The only two panelists left right now are Valentine & Severinsen.
rip Peter Marshall yesterday...98!
Great flashback. I only wish it wasn't all chopped up :(
Cool!!
Loved Holly Wood Sqaures and Paul Lynde was my favorite madfe me laugh during school during my depression which I looked still look to humor to cope !
Rip Peter Marshall 🙂
At 4:08, bone tests were done on Charlie Smith in 1979 upon his death to find out that he was only around 99 years old not 137 years old.
Karen Valentine!!!!!
Dislike because of the playback quality NOT the show
Good quality, slow computer
Alec Baldwin doing the commercial...is he gun loaded?
3:50....voice of Mila Kunis, mother of Leah Rehmini.
Wrong you idiot. Karen Valentine is NOT the voice of Mila Kunis and has no children at all. Therefore isn't the mother Leah Remini.
jimlange no excuse for calling someone an idiot. Everybody makes mistakes, but your response was unnecessary.

@@elianamiller2666 idiot
Whoopi Goldberg replaced Paul Linde as the center square and she was ALMOST just as funny.
Poor video quality
Poor editing, the jokes are cut.
bad quality
