I couldn't find mine using this. In the end I turned on developer mode in MSFS and looked in the list of installed components to see the path. Turned out that for me, it was C: Users/(default)/AppData/Local/ and then instead of packages, a bit further down is a folder called MSFSPackages and my Community folder was there. Hope this might be helpful for anyone who hasn't found theirs where it is supposed to be.
@@gunlover5147 Ok, Go to the main page of your simulator, then click options, then general options. Down the left side there's a list and you need to click on developer mode then set the slider to "on". Apply & save then look at the developer menu now displayed at the top of your screen. Click the "tools" tab then "packages". that brings up a new window and in the search bar at the top of this new window, type "community". that will filter out just the items that are in your community folder but more importantly, it will display the file path to the folder so then you will know where it and be able to navigate to it.
yo guys i actually found the community folder but if I add a mod It doesnt show up in the game at all (still only 61 planes). Does anybody know what mistake I could have made? help, everyy aircraft that i put in my community folder shows in the manager packages but no in the game like that, i just installed the game and only show that i have 46 aircraft installed, i tried everything :(

if you stuck, cant find community folder or get some errors like ND is not loaded or CDU failure that bugs when trying to enter flight plan in the game, its because you have crack version of game, you should buy it on xbox, steam etc to be able to use full capabilities of FlyByWire A320
Hi Callum, I installed MSFS on my D Drive as my C Drive does not have enough free space. I have added an aircraft in both my D drive community folder and my C drive community folder but can't see the plane in my hanger. Any ideas mate. Thanks
The latest release note to my understanding reads "Move the community folder before restart to avoid long loading and crashes" . Now that I know where it is what do I do with it? Where do I move it?
Thanks for this informative tutorial. I purchased Flight Simulator via Steam last week and was having a ton of trouble locating the correct "Community" folder. On installation I opted to install Flight Simulator on my "D" SSD drive (D:\MSFS) rather than the default path that windows wanted to use on my "C" drive due to the "D" drive having more storage capacity and faster read/write access. Curiously, the install process also still created a "Community" folder on my C drive under: AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community etc which caused a bit of confusion initially. Anyway, just downloaded and installed an aircraft addon mod to my custom "Community" folder (on the "D" drive) as indicated near the end of your tutorial and all is well. Many thanks! 👍
Just cut and paste the Microsoft folder to your new drive and launch the game. On checking for updates, as it can't locate the current files, it will let you select the new location to the folder.
Thank you very much for your prompt reply. If only I could find my “Microsoft folder”. It seems to use MS Flight Simulator nowadays you first must be quite PC literate. Sincerely, thank you anyway. @@MrCallumXGaming
You're the only channel who got it right. I found it right where you said but you stopped a bit too soon. How do I actually place downloaded content into this folder? Drag and drop the zipped file OR the unzipped file and all its contents? I'm not touching it until I know or I'll end up munting things LOL. Cheers :)

For steam users. When you click on app data look in roaming,Microsoft flight simulator, packages, community.
I give up. I have tried expanding everything and even using search to find anything with community in its name, but it doesn't seem to exist.
I have the same Problem. I think its because i have the steam version.

how do you uninstall mods because my cloud or something is full
As long as the game is not open, you can simply delete the folder that contains that mod and its done :-)
