If I could post pics on here I would show you how I did 3 chandeliers. I charged $800 a peice. They where 40 ft up and everything was finished. Wood floors with a finish that if scratched the whole floor needed to be re done and some tile that material cost was $60 a square foot. I rented scaffolding at $145 for a week. Bought brand new moving blankets and layed 3/4 plywood down and built scaffolding of that. It took about 2hours to set up and tear down and rebuild for the next. And I paid a helper $100. And the chandeliers weighed about 100pounds each and cost $2500 to $10,000.

I worked for a utility company and we would strap the base of the ladder to the pole to prevent it from slipping. Adding that strap is probably all I would have done differently.

FFS people, grow a pair, it's less than fifteen feet, I'd be more worried about dropping the light fixture. Frooots.

Please do not think poorly of me if I just cannot watch! I may come back to this to see how you do, but right now I am kinda freaking out 🫣

Im actually impressed on how you figured out how to do the job without scaffolding. There are a lot of us that have to had to do as bad or worse things. Its thinking outside the box that will take you places. Just hopefully never to hospital or morgue.

Please next time have the customer order a scaffold company to protect you. If you fall its going to hurt all through your lifetime . And you will have a bad quality of life. Some things are more important than money.

Actually, I have been thinking of calling an electrician and install a chandelier in the very high ceiling in my home. But after seeing this video, I am not risking anybody's life for beautifying my home. But I love his faith when he prayed. God bless you.

That is complete and utter madness - you could be left in a wheel chair falling from that height. Just get a cherry picker next time!?

Just looking at those light fixtures makes me feel like I’m about to get tortured by the Spanish Inquisition.

I do not even remember the last time I watched a movie that got my heart pounding like that. I even know you lived with the intro. Careful man, I enjoy your vids.

Brother, I've been a tradesman for over 30 yrs. Along the way I've had to put myself in some precarious situations. Thankfully I never took a fall in these precarious situations. However I did take a fall one day when I had put stepladder underneath a corbel (interior job, ladder was on concrete floor) that was sticking out of the wall. Nothing precarious. I made up a stain sample to put on the corbel, started climbing the ladder. Just before I reached the 6th step I remembered the corbel and I was about to bump my head on it.. which caused me to lurch back and lose my balance. instead of waiting for the ladder to collapse underneath me I jumped off. I was 6 ft high. Due to the weird angle that I came off the ladder I ended up landing on the floor flat-footed. I fractured my calcaneus (heel bone). I have a very high tolerance for pain but let me tell you this really f*

I am with you about working alone but sometimes like moments like this it'll be nice to have a hand to at least pass the fixture. You are insane! Love your work! Thank you for sharing!
