    I have 2X 3 screw carts here. One is USA and the other is Canadian. The US variant's seal of quality is round where as the Can. one is oval. Both are centered on the bottom of the label. Below the large ZELDA text, the US ver. says "Experience the challenge of endless adventure". The Can. ver. is blank. US ver. has the red 'hold reset' warning on the back wheras the Can. Ver. has the caution statement in english and then in french. Batteries are the same maxell, US board is nes-snsrom-03. Can. Board is 05.
    The US ver. Has Sanyo and Sharp chips and 1 capacitor in the center. The Can. Ver. Has Sharp and Panasonic chips with 2 capacitors. I wonder if that second cap. Is intended to help with preserving the save games if reset is not held while powering off. Also, the Us board is dark and the Can. board is a lighter green.

    Did a quick Google search on Mitsubishi and Nintendo. Turns out Mitsubishi did work with Nintendo, it was their electronics division called Mitsubishi Electric. Mitsubishi is more than just a car company. I was watching Gold Rush Parker's Trail and it turns out they did Japan's warplanes during WW2. Interesting stuff.

    Just looking at my 3 screw version. It does not have the red warning label and the label looks the same as your 5 screw version. The front label is the same as your 5 screw version also. It has an 02 board version (NES-SNROM-02).

    I have both the center and right seal of quality carts, but both of mine our 3 screw. Your center seal of quality cart has the 5 screw and I've also seen right seal of quality carts that are 5 screw as well. I know both of my carts are genuine since my mom and my friend's mom bought both of these brand new back in the day. One has my old house number and the other has my friend's last name on it. I have boxes for both as well. I highly doubt the ones I have and the ones in the video are fake. Were there just so many different variants of the gold carts? Thanks for the vid!

    Does it affect price with 3 vs 5 or is at a preference thing...how about gray cart Zelda are there two variants

    • @ActuallyImJerome
      @ActuallyImJerome Год назад

      5 screw is worth almost twice the price as 3 screw, for some reason. classic series variant (grey cart) only comes in 3 screw, I think. it for sure only has one variant tho.

      There was an even later, grey cartridge version, not mentioned in this video.
      And I think there is an extremely rare, 1st print/preview version without save function (but I might be wrong)

    • @TattedCollector
      @TattedCollector  4 года назад

      99.9% sure it's authentic. 5 screw carts were the first released carts before Nintendo redesigned the carts to a 3 screw version. Secondly, it's not very likely that it wouldn't be authentic seeing as how it's a very common game.

    Hi, I have an oddity for you possibly lol. I have a 3 screw cart but it has the silver centered seal on the front of the label. The box I have is the same. Did someone before me put two copies together? I appreciate any feedback thanks a million! 😎🤙🏻

    The version I remember playing as a kid, in the first cave you're offered the boomerang or the wooden sword. I've recently purchased a 5 screw edition of the game but in the first cave I'm only offered the wooden sword. However, the board in my game ends in "2" so I'm really curious if you can tell me or supply a screenshot of that first cave for the 5 screw edition you have since that board starts with "1". If you're offered both I would say that is the actual first version released in the US market. There are almost no references to that version in the US market which makes me wonder how many were actually sold at the time.

    • @phubans
      @phubans 4 года назад

      I remember that. I never had that version but I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power or something, always curious as to why some versions had the choice between Sword & Boomerang or just Sword.

    5 screw Label bottom left did u just replace the label....the red label on back is after Nintendo made changes to its chipset in the console. There's no power spike on newer consoles so zelda files wont get erased if u hold in the buttons to shut it off. I wish Nintendo put the screw under the labels so people can f with them. be good..
