    It doesn't pull pin code on Volvo, BMW, Mercedes or other European car. You need another Xtool version X100 plus KC501. By the time you spend $900, you might as well pay your locksmith or dealer and get two sets of keys. They will even cut the metal key.

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  Год назад +1

      Depending on year make and model it does have the ability to program VIN numbers in some vehicles. I think it depends on whether the manufacturer allows it in the module. Some manufacturers make you log in using a 2534 pass-thru in order to change it, so basically if the manufacturer allows a scan tool to change it then it should.

      I think only D9S Pro can do it on some cars.

    Mr mechanic sir how are you going to connect that to the eeprom adapter?🤔

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  Год назад

      It programs most keys through the VCI, no need to have an EEPROM adaptor.
      Here is a video showing it pulling pin codes and going through the steps for programming a key.

      @@positrack99 It shows that it will go into the key programming all the way up to the point of programming a key. Anytime you program a key there is always a risk something could go south and I already had a working key and didn't want to risk erasing it or anything. So basically I wanted to show that this machine has the ability to program a key and pull pin codes. This is something that a lot of more expensive scan tools will not do. If you want to see me program a key, I have a couple of key programming videos using the Xtool.
