I swear people forget how rating works and there are numbers between 0 and 10. 7 out of 10 is nothing to sleep at. That is a very very good score, I swear this IGN mindset of it's either a 10 or it's garbage BS needs to stop. Not everything that comes out is either perfect or dog s*** That's why the 0 to 10 system exists because there are vast amounts of space between the quality of a product

I hope Season 2 will be cooked even better than Season 1. There are so many things the producers haven't shown yet from the franchise thus more room for improvement. Like with Fallout game characters, Seasons can be improved to be better too over time.
The fact that I heard a producer said that Season 2 is ready to release as soon as Amazon extend the series is quite interesting.
I do hope that Todd Howard not waste all these good publicity for the series and do something bad for Fallout 5 (microtransaction, paid locked DLC at day 1, etc..)
I think the issue is they split up the season/video(s) into a 2 parter. As if it’s invincible szn 2 kinda energy. Personally i think it’s an 8/10 of a show. A solid performance & the best video game adaptation ever made.

@@Daniel92CZ Don't some subscriptions cancel all of your priveledges the moment you cancel the recurring payment? Thus people have gotten used to getting what they want out of that month THEN cancelling it before it renews.
I think most tend to word it like you lose access the moment you cancel but it's honestly been a while since I even bothered with one.
@@Dewi-H I always just remove my card from the acc right after purchase and that will also end the subscription. I can still use the service for that paid month. I don't feel particularly safe leaving my card information on any company acc to be honest, the track record of them losing the clients information is alarming.

afaik it's just the latest popular "thing" so it's hot on SEO thus you get non-subscribers, no-fans, etc. coming in with a different opinion who are used to being pandered to.
I haven't watched the show but 7 sounds like a good rating to me so why people are shitting on it as if he rated it badly baffles me. Just sounds like some bellends decided to do their usual "tribal shit" against AJ & Co. becuase "it's cool" to dunk on the people "hating on the new shiny thing".
i watch a bunch of anime (Shocker, right?! I know you've looked at the pfp and judged me already.) and on MyAnimeList and AniList a 6.5 is "okay/meh", 7 is "good" and 7.5 is generally considered great, so hearing that AJ rated the Fallout TV show a 7 sounded good to me but I guess "other outlets" have been spaffing out higher ratings which make honest ones look bad and get bombed.
7/10 was better than expected but had some stuff that was unnecessary and or weird as well as how they keep finding each other and how the BH acted
The Team America - Matt Damon comparison is so good. Honestly haven't bust out laughing in a minute but it's so good. I think you guys were spot on with the Fallout Review. I feel like I liked the series but it definitely had a lot of issues in my opinion as well. 'ppreciate the honesty in your reviews and sticking by your opinions.
Since you asked for opinions on the fallout series:
POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR FALLOUT SERIES BELOW: I'll do my best to avoid where I can
1. 9/10 I think overall it was great with a few weird parts in it.
2. 6/10 Some of the opening was weird to me. Dog was apparently a killer because someone pushed his owner down? Alarms going off but casually walks out no issues. The auto turret firing 1000 rounds directly around the scientist and dog and missing from 6 feet away was absurd. The BoS knight sequence felt really cringe. They are brave and noble, no wait they're cowards. This guy is talking about them hanging his squire for allowing him to have been fought by an abomination? Literally picked apart by vultures... ok but NOW he's really dead if he doesn't help? I think a lot of 'Filly' was done great and the ending (no spoilers) was quite surprising although I couldn't really see her being so willing to do it when she seemed so upset before but, meh.
3. 8/10 BoS fight for armor was bad to me personally...ended poorly to me I guess. Everything else was good. BoS stuff just generally still feels clunky, maybe I just don't get the character's motivations well enough because he feels so back and forth to me. I want to like him but he feels so whiney? I thought he was molded basically from a child through the Brotherhood of Steel, but he feels like someone who just only recently joined and hasn't really become a man and warrior with that mentality. Still above average episode in my opinion though.
4. 10/10 I think this is a phenomenal episode. The business I think is unusual, since it's deemed as a legitimate business later. Run by two dudes who I'll just assume were too drugged up to properly assess the situation and deal with it. They seem very unprepared considering it's a business requiring unwilling subjects, as far as I can make out. Other than that, Opening was great world building and exposition without feeling like they were just spelling it out for you.
5. 5/10 This felt like a bog standard episode. Average to me for a series overall
6. 7/10 I think nothing really stood out for me but it was great world building and setting things up in the series.
7. 6/10 The red rocket - german shepherd felt like a VERY heavy handed 'member fallout 4' callout. The pupper even gets called dogmeat at some point in the series and it's not the same dog meat so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to take from that. Vault 4 was great overall. but needing to be convinced to give back 'item' as a good thing to super nice people, which otherwise would have doomed them so that (checks notes) he could POSSIBLY save other people with the suit felt really dumb to me. Help people you KNOW are good people and preserve their way of life, or help out questionably as he's shown to have done with everything else. Felt to me like a contrived point to make him have a development moment but honestly made the character again unlikable in his thoughts and choices. Foot scene was overall SOLID GOLD and paid off an almost un-noticed callback outside 'Filly' with the scientist. Brilliant in my opinion. Radio station felt awkward the entire way through. Bad aiming from 'soldiers' again. Everyone in BoS feels like children with guns. The kiss felt Very unearned or deserved or...to be honest it was out of nowhere. maybe it was setup poorly over all the episodes, but this guy wasn't even honest with his actual name until whenever. He was cagey about his mission to her and she immediately called it out when she freed him from the armor before. I just think romance doesn't need to be in everything if it doesn't make sense and this felt left field to me personally.
8. 7/10 Episode had some great payoffs overall. BoS opening felt really bad again. He brings back 'wrong item' and to them it's immediately obvious it's wrong. Instead of dealing with things as they continue to be said to handle them, they instead offer a higher position behind closed doors. At observatory, not sure why restrained ghoul still hanging out at table for who knows how long. seems cruel and generally fucked up, but I think they just wanted a look at this revelation point later and a parallel to the previous ghoul incident. 'Just give her the thing' to guy who did what he did to his own family. The proof of which is literally in the room with them. No, but seriously, just give her the thing you've been refusing to give while in this cage presumably because I asked a second time. I know it's the entire reason ALL of the events of the fallout series have taken place. LITERALLY laid out as THE reason everything that has ever happened to the WORLD has played out over hundreds of years. The reason his family isn't complete now and why he's alive presently and not super dead dust (I'm trying to obscure for people who can't help themselves to spoilers, you know)....but she looked really sad when she asked so..... fuckit? It was rough to believe but sure, why not lol the reckless warfare was fine, although ghoul hanging about having an anime scene again the BoS just standing there the entire time felt dumb. The emotional roller coaster trooper shows up and releases daddy without her saying a single word against it. If I'm remembering correctly she didn't even flinch at him being released. Yeah, just rechecked and it's somehow worse at second watching. Honestly. Iron Man does his thing, which I thought he was just a corpo kinda guy but I guess he learned some shit before so he could operate suit just fine... well.... better than fine..... since BoS guy couldn't hardly fly with the suit before, despite being raised around it most of his life, and Iron Man was a fucking natural. I could understand Ghouls motives at the end and felt like a good lead for a season 2. BoS ending felt shit. Asks him if he killed the leader. "no." She proceeds to give him knighthood despite her low rank based on this new lie... for his protection? Why does she seem so concerned and why is she pushing this lie so quickly? Surely, he would have been fine as leader is dead and he led the charge to the correct place to the right shit they wanted. It felt very contrived and forced. He clearly, once again, doesn't want to be a part of any of this shit and is somehow moving up despite his best efforts. He wants it but he doesn't. I don't get it honestly.
Overall: 7.25/10 is what I ended up if I average it out. I think as a whole I would give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. Pressed I'd say 8 I guess. I think I liked the show to be honest. It had plenty of moments where I thought along the lines, she lived in a vault her whole life and now just cut a fucking dudes head off and is carrying it around shoving shit in its nose like it's nothing. Seems a bit quick but I can get over it I guess. The vaults 31/32/33 have the WORST security I have ever seen across the board. Tweedle dee and dum wander aimlessly throughout and no one notices. Even to the extent at the end without really any semblance of difficulty. He could've stomped brain out and cut plugs to all chambers. Which he may have, since we never get an ending for that plot thread. I personally wish we had some more monsters, but I guess I really just thought there would be a death claw somewhere. She walked around by herself on day 1 and encountered sand and skeletons before setting up a fire for the night. Not a mutant or junkyard dog. Not a radstag, bloatfly, bloodbug, or brahmin. Just sand and bones lol. Ok, maybe they were really out there in the vault, and it was quite the journey to the next civilized place where creatures could live and hunt and eat. Honestly, I had a hard time deciding where the fuck we were in the US a lot of the time. Hollywood signs and story with California as what I believed to be the main backdrop, followed by 'Filly' which is a clear play on Philadelphia in between. Now I don't think we are meant to believe she walked across the US but why use a common nickname for a famous major city as a name for a small town on the other side of the country. Maybe I'm the only idiot confused but it felt counterintuitive to me.
If you stuck around and read all of this, I appreciate it, since I got the impression you were genuinely asking for our opinions on it.
On the AJ scale I would give it:
The first 4 episodes a 7/10
The last 4 episodes a 5/10
Overall 6/10

A 7/10 for Fallout is good enough. If not less in my opinion. It's just good, not great at ALL.
Remember when 130 dollars would get you a collectors edition with a statue. I remember getting aliens colonial marines collectors edition for 90 bucks, game was bad but the statue is great.

Tipping use to be great and extra. But like all things, bosses have figured out what service did a while ago. "We can save on wages if the customers pay our employees ".
What’s the difference between paying for a meal and then giving part of that to the waiter as a wage and people paying a waiter directly with a tip? Absolutely nothing. And if you want to make these places pay their employees more, stop tipping. By laws they have to make sure that all income whether tip or wage, comes out to a minimum wage rate or else they get in trouble

@fulltimeslackerii8229 There is a pretty huge difference . If you ever run your own payroll, you'd see why the "tip" culture has been pushed so hard by employers.
You are correct that they have to pay at least minimum. However, tons don't because of loopholes in the total wage calculations and hours worked don't usually cover like it does in a normal 9 to 5 (don't even start on all the things they can charge back to the employee like credit card transaction fees).
Anyway, employers should have to pay a consistent daily wage. Allowing them to let employees be "tipped" is just another way they'll try to rip people working their asses off of pay imo. If it wasn't like that, suits and other bosses wouldn't push it so hard.

And if workers are not getting paid then they are staying at home, bootlegging and doing whatever to make ends meet instead of paying for the real thing. And raising game prices to 70 dollars only raises the risk of someone not buying the game considering the trend of buggy unfinished games are starting to be more common. inflation is envitable especially when the consumers quality of life is raised considerably. We dont factor in technology and uncessary goods that we depend on a everyday basis. So go ahead and keep inflating the prices and not raising the minimum wage and see what happens. Its going to be more then the gaming industry thats going to be struggling. When Obama came out with his stimilus plan to give money to stuggling workers, it single handedly got us out of the recession. It literally stimilated to the economy. Which shows the power of trickle up economics in oppose to trickle down economics. If consumers are not spending, no one is getting a raise but the CEO. What the gaming industry and other markets are doing is trying to figure ways to get more money out of us without paying us more. Its that simple. That explanation alone is the very reason the class gap between the lower and upper class is getting wider.

And for the fact that a popular Indie Developer company is supporting Godot is fantastic news for the Gaming community because Godot is 100% free 100% royalty free and 100% supported by contributor developers. The more Godot gets more light in the gaming community, the more support it will get in funding and development. I myself am a software developer for 15 years and I must say Godot is very simple to use not to mention you can build in script or C++. You can also extend the native script by creating powerful C++ modules that will execute your code more efficiently. Any skilled game developer the sky is the limit on what you can build, you just got to build it from scrap. The more the community extends the native scripting the more powerful it will become. If this indie company decides to become a contributor to Godot, would mean that the code they utilized in the game would be accessible to the community. The indie company could also sell their scripts on the market for more profit.
Tipping culture is definitely out of hand. It's at a point where I have people saying a 20% tip is considered a bad tip. Like what reality do you live in? I never expected tips when I was doing pizza delviery back in college, it was always a bonus.

Ubisoft graphics honestly makes everyone look ugly. Compare it to Jedi Fallen Order which came out a few years ago looks so much better.
It’s so weird with Ubisoft, because some of their games don’t look that bad. Far Cry 2-5 looked great in the time they came out, especially (!!) the faces. They just stopped caring at some point.

What I don't understand about the Star Wars character face is that they again hired a real life model for the face, but then made the face uglier after the fact, the chin and the nose are completely different. Whats the point of hiring an expensive woman model if you're then just going to make a completely different face anyway? A complete waste of money.

He was also using armor piercing ammo while he had the brotherhood distracted with his smooth cowboy drawl.
He uses his OP pistol to blow a hole in the power armors weak point in the finale, he runs out of ammo when he tries to use the pistol on Lucy and Maximus blocks it with his backside in Filly. Obviously the rifle isn't strong enough, and the pistol appears to use some type of explosive/concussive round.

@@Exarathas I'm someone who also doesn't love their job. The answer for why I stay is: to survive. The cost of living where I am (London, UK) is insanely high and the wages on offer elsewhere are not particularly great. I also have a second answer, which is: I am very highly anxious and so uncertainty, change, and stress can really put me on a downward spiral. I wish it wasn't so, its really inconvenient, but I've discovered its very important to avoid shifting gears before I'm truly ready.
@@Exarathas most jobs will be boring/depressing after some time. not all people can turn the things they love to a job. some might, most who do that are not well-paid also. there are these few lucky people who do what they love and get paid good for it (not saying it was just luck, I am sure they tried hard for it). but most people just want that clock to hit 5 and then go do the things they love. it's a compromise. and it's about survival.

I honestly feel bad for Harada. Murry, and the rest of the DEV TEAM. If you watch their Tekken Talks, you can see how fucking exhausted those guys look. People always throw their complaints at dev teams of huge corps like Bamco when it comes to micro-transactions. The dev team can't really control that aspect of their games unless their independent. If the publisher or upper management of that company says put it in, it's going in. Harada is high in the company, but I don't think he's at that level yet. At least this shit in fighting games doesn't affect the core gameplay, like shooters do. Not having all the colors in SF6 or costumes in T8 won't make characters stronger or me better at the game. But not having the latest guns in the battle pass meta in COD will. I just find it disingenuous when people claim to love and respect devs but act like this toward them, just because they can't yell at the people who really need to hear it.

I liked the series and I feel like l AJ should not have to apologize but the problem is that this is AJ and Crews lively hood! They are not a big channel 3.29 million subs is a lot but they barely get the million views. Other channels are run by one person. AJ has his friends that he has to pay. He has to make you guys understand his view when he shouldn’t but you guys go crazy. Wish these guys would have more subscribers especially for OJ and Alex. AJ not so much lol.

This channel, like most others, have lost the plot when rating things. Video games are still ok, but other media is off here. You all will give 7/10 to a game , then blast it like it's not good enough, yet are shocked that your fans are disappointed with a 7/10 rating for Fallout. This is on you and this weird elitist trend of only 9's and 10's are worth it anymore.

I loved the Fallout show a lot, but god forbid someone else has a different opinion than mine. Look, you can throw as many hot takes at me as you want. It won't affect my personal overall enjoyment of the show. If you are starting to "distrust" or dislike someone's reviews, then don't watch them. No big deal.
I thought the last 4 episodes leaned more heavily into the interesting stuff and the core story of the series. The first 4 was just them wandering around and running into random stuff.

I liked the show! BUT the show also had some very heavy plotarmor (which in the case for the Fallout-Universe i can look past) still its there.

You know, if you think about it, doing the subscription service for 1 month to play Outlaws, and then cancelling it is kind of like renting it from a video store or Blockbuster from way back in the day. If you look at it that way, you feel like less of asshole about giving Ubisoft any money for a Star Wars game. :)

I think the fact that video game movies/ tv shows are so busted that whenever The Last of Us and Fallout comes out it gets a 9 or 10 out of 10 should tell you that a lot of people just don't have high expectations for these things so when something that is good comes out there is always going to be that kneejerk reaction of it being a masterpiece

I watched the shitty movie 'lockout' based on a review that hated the movie. It was great! Or that is to say, I enjoyed it. It was paint by numbers sci-fi movie with die hard and escape from New York twist. The guy from Misfits was great.

But when you get lazy and pple call out your a$s, you have to take the criticism and try to be better, that's what everyone has to do in their jobs or you get fking fired. He doesn't get fired from RUclips but he does not take criticism and that pisses some suscribers. Joe has lazy periods, where he just do random sht and review things poorly. Other times he writes these masterful pieces of art reviews and you sort of forgive his misses. I followed his work back when he had a website and RUclips had a star rating, I know he can be way better than this.

I have never played a single fallout game ever, I was willing to give the series a try just because I saw its trailer on AJS, I have seen the fallout series twice already, and I still believe that a 7/10 is a perfect score for the series. I don't know what people are thinking when they say that the show is a 9?. A 9 or a 10 on any scale has to be almost perfect or downright perfect. This series however has a lot of potential but it's handling of the middle episodes of the series is where things fall short for me. I'd say it's a 7/10 all day long. Waiting for season 2 to release.
"I have never played a single fallout game ever", that's the reason why it's 7/10. For some or many hardcore fans the score is higher for them because the show is catered towards them. And for the disappointed few, it didn't meet expectations or head cannon. I don't think it's unfathomable to see fans rate things they enjoy slightly extreme.
It's ok to have a different opinion. This world would be quite a boring place to live in otherwise.

Alex is correct about the BF2042 composer(s). Hildur Guðnadóttir and her partner Sam Slater did the music and also won an Oscar for Joker (they're doing the sequel) and for Chernobyl TV series. I think EA saw the opportunity to get an Oscar winner to do the sound/music design which in itself is very well done but do I think its good video game music? no. It's a shame that EA couldn't ultilise such amazing artists better.. I bet they would thrive in an action/thriller/horror type of game.
I'd pay $130 for Star Wars Outlaws if it included Matt Damon in the slave girl outfit as a skin. Stars Wars the Old Republic never let me put the wookie in one.

The reason why I haven't really been on Tekken 8 isn't cause of the battle pass, idgaf about trash like that. They have a problem when finding people online to fight in Rank, at least for me. I DO NOT WANT TO FIGHT WIRLESS PLAYERS get a got damn CABLE! So the more times I reject matches the more wait time I have to find another user, that time can go up pass 10 minutes if I don't pause/unpause to reset the search. And to make it worse, because I reject so many matches (even just 1 this is possible) I get matched up with someone that's 10x higher ranking than me, like wtf??
Now a rare of these people I have beat (because they have it set in their minds lower rankers doesn't know more than them and wanna act dumb then lose or simply some people just shouldn't be in that rank to due some characters they use that can get away with most attacks) but still this nonsense is why I haven't got on.
I LOVE T8 but the searching/wait/ get higher ranker due REJECTING matches is killing my mood.
