    You checked the secondary of the windings in the magneto. Did you check the primary? There's two windings in a magneto, isn't it?

    Good morning Mr Horne , that is some great info you have shared with us . Are those condensers hard to come by for those engines ?

      Hey Del. I don't think they're too hard to find. The 5s and 6s models were two of the most mass produced models by Briggs. I googled the actual part number from the old owner's manual and saw I could get one on eBay for 9 bucks. It's supposed to arrive this Thursday. A much better deal than the coil. Stay warm buddy!!
