They do not make them like they used to
What size belt does it take, I need to find one for mine? Ty
What color do you use for the green?
Hey Bryan, how did you prep the aluminum deck for painting? I've got one that I need to restore. Thanks
MR, Bryan, Do you know of any one making seed plates for the DB ?
❤ very Nice machine. Thank you for your excellent video
I just picked one of those cutters up. Mine is missing the pulley/ clutch. Thinking and a retrofit to use on a vintage garden tractor.
My neighbor just gave me four or five attachments for one on these. I was thinking about a retrofit to use the sickle bar on one of my 60's garden tractor s.
What year do you think this was made? I have a similar one to this but in gray that I’m working on fixing up too. Great job on that restoration!
Very nice !
I was wondering if you could send me the information for the clutch disc guy. I have a few parts David Bradley's I probably have the clutch parts you are missing.
Isn’t the odd size wheel weight for the Suburban?
Bryan, I am in the process of restoring my 5752, and REALLY appreciate these videos! Regarding the embossed DB lettering on the hood, are there decals that go over top of the factory embossing, or are they painted on? I’d appreciate knowing your source for the decals if that’s how it’s done! Many thanks!
Do you have a model number for that tiller? I have one and need parts.
Did you lower the seat a bit?
my db clutch is done like that. btw that pin is called a roller pin
what are the measurements?
good job, i have a 1946 David Bradley tractor, that i use, mostly, for plowing snow
You checked the secondary of the windings in the magneto. Did you check the primary? There's two windings in a magneto, isn't it?
Awesome Bryan. I think those were perhaps the best small built engines of the day.
Looking good!!
Bryan...How can I get in touch with you? I would like to get a download of all info on DB 2 wheels,That site shut down.I wish to set up a free download (or mail) (or thumbdrive) so other DB owners can have access.Hope you can help...JOHN
Wow!! That was FAST! Master job!! 👍🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻♥️
What was the belt size for the sickle?
What tire/ wheel size combination is that? Nice video!
The 5751 is the only spring clutch they used the threaded rod and nuts. With the start of the 5752 they used the spring on the clutch engagement rod. The spring lock clutch will hold up to 2.5 hp as long as the pulley and discs are not glazed. If they are clean them with brake kleen and a wire brush.
When can I find the decal for mine? Ty
Looks great! Want to sell it? I bet not. I am in need of plates and time to rebuild mine.
Hey, have you done any research into replacement teeth/rivets that will work for keeping these things going?
She’s super clean! I have a “5751” with a chipper engine swapped for the missing original, clicker hubs, original Button Bar tires, and the original “completely untouched” hood hanging on my barn wall. The new engine is just too big to fit and I can’t bring myself to cut up the original hood. I’ve been kicking around the idea of building a new hood from fiberglass or carbon fiber but I don’t know if that would work out.
It is always great to have a garden friend. You don't have to pull the plow. Lol. I once ask a friend to be my garden buddy that is what she ask. Will I have to pull the plow? We had a great time in the garden for 4 years.
Cool Puch moped
Hey Mr Horne , my neighbor had one of these when I was growing up . He rode that machine to work everyday . Can’t wait to see it running !!!
I would like to get in touch with you sir
Global warming 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh man..... YES!!!
Mr. Wizard, 2023! 😊♥️
Mr. Wizard would be so proud! 🤜🏻🤛🏻😊♥️
I have one I need to restore sometime, just too many projects right now. They were a great idea. Do you know any place to get Briggs carb parts?
ruclips.net/channel/UCZgGWodsECdfa6xIpWbGhaA Hello, I love your DB suburban. I have a 1963.5 myself. I was wondering if you have any info on adjusting the transmission? With a newer belt mine will not engage very well anymore in forward or reverse. Thanks Don Could’ve post on the suburban videos
Beautiful ❤️ Are those the original colors? I have three that will get attention at some point
Pretty work
Thanks Roy. I should have stock on Rustoleum Rattle Cans!!!! 😁
WOW, that turned out BEAUTIFUL! I really wish you had made videos of putting it back together. I have one of those on the front of my old DB that needs to be gone through. Can you even still get those Knuckle Bearings? I'm assuming yours was either already complete or that you had extra parts laying around? I have to say that you did such a nice job on it that it looks Museum Quality. Well done!
Hey Buddy!!! Thanks so much for your message. You're right, I've got to get use to running a camera on a tripod and editing it for RUclips. There is a video on RUclips by "The Good ol boys" taking a cutter bar apart ruclips.net/video/Ay09RwCfYus/видео.html . Watching it gave me courage to take on mine. You can get brand new bearings and the video just before this one has the company and bearing number. If you have any problem finding the video or information let me know and I'll get it for you. Thanks!!!!
Excellent job! That attachment looks great!
Thanks so much Eric!!! It was good getting back on a DB project!!!
@@bryanhorne8202 You're welcome! Gotta love these old tractors!
Hey Mr Bryan , You done an outstanding job on the sickle bar mower .
Hey Del, Thanks buddy. I've had this cutter bar on the back burner thinking I'd use it again but ran out of other projects so I decided to clean it up. Hope you all are doing great!!!!
We are doing good . Hope y’all are also .
Yes, I would also like to see a reassembly video please. I have one of these out in the shed that doesn't work and I am going to have to tear it down. It would be real nice to see how it's supposed to go back together first.
Smooth a a Singer sewing machine...
I was hoping to see a disassembly/ reassembly vid on these. I have 2 and contemplate doing this
TY for the video Mr. Horne. I've learned alot from your channel. It would be great to see you reassemble the cutter for r those that have never been into one. 😉
Good to see you on here. I can no longer walk well enough to stay up behind one. Considering selling out all my DB stuff and focusing more on my Farmall cubs and the JD 40.
Hey Charles, I certainly understand. That's why I restore my DBs to view rather than to work. I don't have the legs for it anymore. I certainly enjoy watching others use theirs. I'm sure its not an easy decision for you to sell you DB collection. My barn is full and Ive got to decide to do something with some of mine. I wish there was a North Carolina museum that would appreciate and care for them. Good luck with your tractors. I have a Super A and run the heck out of it. But it starts year round without using the choke so as long as I can craw my butt on it I'll hang onto it. Take care my friend!!!
Can you share some info on this? I have one and need tires (need to know size)and more. No original motor, but complete. Thanks!
My Cunningham is around 1950. It's very simply made ..like in someone's backyard. They got better over the next 5 years. Briggs and Stratton carried them to patent court because Cunningham motors were 98 percent Briggs. Rims changed over the years but with measurements I have been able to find tires at Simpletire online. They're very reasonable and get your tire to you promptly.
