I mean... yeah, you're not wrong, The Su-47 Berkut, the Geopelia, and the Night Raven are absurd, and the Aurora (the plane Dision flies as his boss plane) is just plain simple a huge middle finger to all physics fake or real.
You see, in order for the opponent to counter you being behind them, you have to be close to their plane and they have to be level to the ground +-30 degrees with about a 5 degree roll deviation. The way the devs allow you to get around them trying to stall out and counter you is by just mashing on the brakes before they do it, since yours are stronger than theirs by several orders of magnitude. This can create some wonky situations that you see here, where the enemy's plane can stall in mid-air(as it's designed for) and stay almost nearly in place as someone in a traditional plane can still brake and stay behind them, even though they are stalling. Another cute fact is that in PvP, you can stall out the Nosferatu CFA-44 so hard(pointing upwards as you lose all speed, so the plane pivots and pitches nearly 180 degrees instantly because of how fast it wants to point downward)the game registers you as cheating and blows up your plane.
Forgot how beautiful the ASFX Shinden was Then again, the guy who designed it made White Glint in Armored Core, so that's not surprising What do you think of this game anyway? ANd have you read Ikaros in the Sky (The novel that takes place in this universe)
The AV-8 and F-35B can do the hover thing too. I think it's supposed to be VTOL. Wish it made it into AC7, it was pretty fun to just sit there. Clearly DFM does not like it though, but who cares what DFM thinks fuck that guy.

This game has cool 3rd view / chase camera. I prefer this over the classic AC. Close to the screen that succeed tell me a plane is actually bigger. Some moving feel in camera movement while Pull up and down, and rolling instead of just being stuck in the screen.
oh lord...I really, really wanted to like this game...but that DFM shit threw me off every single time...(plus the turret and helicopter sections)...if only infinity was a real game instead of the free to play garbage it was...(I know it was a good game, but servers are shut..I like to play old ACs games from time to time...that was one I won't be able to play anymore...)

I really wish there was an option for disabling DFM in AH multiplayer. Still, I really enjoy this part of the game.

The ASF-X is a VTOL aircraft, and can (more or less) hover in AH. If you DFM then while hovering, you'll hover too, regardless of what you're flying.
