Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet Block III - a new version of a multi-role carrier fighter flown a quarter of a century ago. The biggest changes compared to the standard Super Hornet are the IRST Block II, the modernized and strengthened General Electric F414-GE-400 engine, advanced network infrastructure, increased airframe life from 6,000 to 10,000 hours, new avionics with a touch screen and conformal fuel tanks installed in upper part of the hull (US Navy specimens will not have CFT tanks, but there is a possibility of their later assembly. CFT is a standard for export customers). In Ace Combat 7, the only thing that combines a hybrid of Block I and II versions, and Block III are the basic and standard weapons for the Super Hornet, the U.S. paint. Navy. The main weapons are the M61A1 Vulcan cannon and the AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles. As a special weapon, the Super Hornet uses fast AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles, AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missiles and an electromagnetic cannon mounted in a sub-fuselage node, and the appearance of the cannon seems to resemble an additional suspended fuel tank. Super Hornet skins are the Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) VFA-122 "Flying Eagles" camouflage, the pixelated camouflage of the VFA-137 "Kestrels" squadron, the painting of the "Full Band" machine (he really did not deserve his death this way that is shooting down by "Count"), skin of the legendary squadron VFA-103 "Jolly Rogers", skin VMFA-232 "Red Devils" (interestingly, Marines have never used on Super Hornets, and the classic Hornets will be replaced by the F-35C) , the "Grun" squadron skin and the General Resource livery. "Avalanche", "Beast", "Black Hornet", "Mobius" and "Sapin" skins will probably appear in the future. The Super Hornet Block III as a special weapon uses the AGM-158C LRASM cruise missiles, Brimstone air-to-ground missiles and AIM-120D AMRAAM missiles in an overhead stealth tray, which increases the wing lift and reduces air resistance. The skins used were the Hornet C camouflage of the VFA-125 "Rough Raiders", referring to the Second World War painting of the VFC-12 "Fighting Omars" squadron, and the new aggressor camouflage from VMFAT-101 "Sharpshooters" as a special skin. What is the future of Super Hornet Block III? The US Department of Defense has ordered 78 units of Block III along with the upgrade of Block II to this standard. But the number of copies may change with the progress of work on the NGAD. Some Block III items are present in the Kuwaiti Super Hornets. Block III can be exported to Canada, Finland, Germany, India and Malaysia. On the basis of Block III, a Growler Block II will be created.
I LOVE the look of the new cockpit. People often wonder why I like the F35. It's not the airframe I like but all the systems that are inside and I'm so glad to see that tech being applied to the older jets.
Easily the star of the DLC, for me. LACM is just as broken as ever, and they finally give you enough 8AGM payload to actually make them useful. 4AAM is fine, this plane is definitely more ground-oriented, so I wasn't asking for anything more, for A2A
Yes! Been waiting for this. And I think we've all been waiting for ACES to bring out more planes. For the planes themselves, sure, but mostly so we get more videos of you showing us how it's supposed to be done.
Well that just brought a stupid smile to my face. Thank you. But I don't want them to have to release DLC just for me to show my face. I'm not gonna makes promises to when I'll be active again because I'm tiring of disappointing people, but I really want to.
Although probably the last DLC will be fighters from the movie "Top Gun: Maverick", i.e. the F-14A, F/A-18E and DarkStar, as well as probably the F-5E Tiger II (without the F-5 there would be no MiG-28 in the original " Top Gun "so the lack of the F-5E would be an affront to both Ace Combat and Top Gun fans), this is a celebration of such a huge fan support that it's worth thinking about three more DLCs. Here are the suggestions: "Fan Favorite Aircraft Series", which would include the Japanese ATD-0 aircraft tree, the Russian MiG-1.44 Flatpack (complement to the "Varcolac" squadron, "Hamilton" skin), Su-24, Su-25TM and Su-27 "Flanker B ", from the European J35J Draken (complement to the squadron "Espada", skin "Cipher ") and Gripen C (" Gryphus "," Messer "," Wisna "), and from the American F-20A Tigershark, X-29A, F-15SE Silent Eagle, F-16F, F-14B and EA-6B (complementing the "Schnee" squadron). "Series of unrealized airplanes" including the F-15N Sea Eagle, the two-seater F-22B, F-22N Sea Raptor and Rafale BM/N. "Series of modern aircraft" which would include development versions of the MiG-29 "Fulcrum" (MiG-29SE, MiG-29M, MiG-29SM, MiG-29SMT, MiG-29UB and MiG-29K), development and proposed versions of Gripen (Gripen D, Gripen F, Gripen EW, Gripen M/Sea Gripen), F-16 Block 70/72, F-15EX Eagle II, Typhoon T.3/ECR, export successful Rafale B/C (special skin for Rafale B: Oured Capital District Air Command) and F-35A/B. The F-35 is especially important for Japanese fans of the Ace Combat series, for three reasons. 1. The F-35A is already in service with the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces, and soon the F-35B will join the JASDF and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Forces. 2. F-35B from the squadron VMFA-242 "Bats" landed and took off from the helicopter destroyer "JS Izumo", which means the return of Japan to the group of countries with ships capable of air operations 3. The F-35A for Japan is produced at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries plant in Nagoya.
@@TugaAvenger Honestly, You are one of the best pilots I have seen on youtube! Superb flying! Definitely sunscribed for more! Keep up the great flying!
F/A-18 is the very first fighter aircraft that I came to know of in my life. EA games created this game called "Fighter Pilot", which I played when I was about 6 years old. And the very first aircraft playable is the Hornet. Missed those times, and I am truly glad this aircraft has made it through all these years.
I like the paint difference between the standard super hornet and the Block 3. The standard is dirty and is weathered whereas the Block 3 is brand new paint.
In my eyes, this plane stands out in two aspects, that massive LACM payload, and that monstrous acceleration. It feels like it's really meant to fly at high speeds to dump that payload on enemy forces but isn't as specialized in air combat, and even less in dogfighting. But no doubt it will satisfy all Hornet lovers out there who wanted an upgraded version of their plane, especially if they happen to enjoy ground-pounding more than air combat!
Comparison between F-35C Lightning II and F/A-18F Super Hornet Block III Variant in terms of Performance, although the SP Weapons are almost identical for XMAAs and 8AGMs, except Super Hornet Block III have LACM while F-35C have Stand-off Dispenser.
One of the three candidates to replace my nation's old CF-18s, though Boeing and Canada have a very turbulent history that would likely throw a wrench into this option. Unfortunate since it should be easier to retrain our pilots for and would need the least change to our existing infrastructure.
@@verticalflyingb737 it’s still an old design, we all damn well the DND ain’t gonna replace them till they hanging by a piece of duct tape and some spit
The Block III absolutely crushed my Anchorhead Raid score. The LACM spam it can deal out just deletes the 2 naval fleets in the blink of an eye. Also the best 8AGM plane since it has enough payload to make good use of it, especially on something like Stonehenge Defensive or Cape Rainy.
While these variants do look pretty cool, I really wish they would add different planes from previous titles. Especially the Delphinus line from Electrosphere. Complaints aside, great job showing the scary potential of this aircraft, my friend.
It won't be in the game. The devs said they'll only add aircraft that exist prior to 2019 or the game's own timeline (including the original aircrafts from the series so...Shinden is now canonical), so there won't be aircraft like the delphinus, Night raven or Fenrir
Literally all I want is the F-5E, J-35J, and E/A-6B. However, if the Top Gun DLC is coming up next I guess it's not the end of the world. I mean sure we already have an F-14 and two F/A-18's, but what's one more?🙃
@@November117 there's no reason to add these old planes anymore. In the first cutscene you can spot an A-6 on the scrapyard, so why add them? Makes no sense to me. The F-4 is already in the game. Maybe perhaps they could add the other two as well as the MiG-17, F-100 Super Sabre, and the MiG-19. Maybe some other skins for the other Vietnam era aircraft as well.
I always tried to make M09 Faceless Soldier cutscene to be Trigger in the F/A-18F (It seems more convincing to be used by Trigger in Spare Squadron, according to the plot), but the special weapon from the previous version of Super Hornet is too hard/too ridiculous to be used in M09. While using Gripen-E with LACM is doing an excellent job in M09, but in the cutscene, it looks pretty unconvincing for Trigger using EU-type jets. (It should be F-15C/F-22A, just IMO) While this, makes everything comes together~~
So given how they've evidently shot down the possibility of AC3 planes showing up, I have a feeling the final wave of DLC planes will be three additional real world ones. Maybe something a bit more high tier, like the MiG-1.44 and the ATD-0.
