Proton and Mitsubishi is like brothers. Cause if Mitsubishi doesn't have it Proton will have it with more valuable and cost you a lot to modified but at the end it will give you the best result

I had a same model Colt as this, a 1.6 GLXI and not even tuned, but holy hell, it was a fast little monster.

Better than your golf mk2, more top speed and it seems to be more stable in the acceleration. Please don't take this personal, but mitsubishi makes better engines that vw
i don´t think so, but it is your opinion. Top speed isn´t more, my 5. gear makes 315kph & 6. gear 370kph

That thing will take a gigantic dump on any GTR
be sure,but only for 5 minutes in a race if not less.After 5 minutes the GTR is still capable to continue the race and finish it because the engine will not blow.
on a Stock GTR yea its alot less hp and alot more kg but on a AMS gtr or Switzer i could only wish dear boy

brian c Try putting 49Lbs of boost through a Turbo without major work being done to the block first and you'd be asking for trouble.
Its not as easy as just straping on a huge Turbo to make huge HP changes.
Personally I think its amazing that people in the know can get stupid amounts of HP from a 2L four banger.
If you were a real car guy you should be able to appreciate anything with 4 wheels aslong as it goes fast, i know I do.

I do appreciate the video just pointing out yes a 2L will out perform a bigger engine with a ton of help.. my little 4.6 on motor ( bigger displacement.) Will out do it with less boost .. I can reach 900whp with under 25lbs of boost and way less money.. With that said there really is no replacement for displacement..
How the whole drivetrain hasn't exploded until now is beyond me. Well done, Germans.

But rebuilding the Colt engine costs probably far less than doing a single service on the Veyron. I saw a a TV show where they did a service on a Veyron, all the bolts on the engine are made from high-spec titanium and can be used only once. Price for replacing the bolts was about US-$ 20.000,- ! I think a Bugatti is about the image first (not everyone can afford one) and performance second.

Jörg P The 4g63 is far far more durable then people think. There's lots of 700-900 hp 4g63s that are daily driven and have 30,000 miles on them.
People don't necessarily buy Bugattis because they're fast but more as a status symbol. The Bugatti is waaaay more expensive than this Colt.
Oscar Radikoro bugatti has aero and stuff so it can keep accelerating like a mad dog beyond 300km/h and be stable... but who cares

Seeing your cars run, it's amazing the high degree of driveability that these monsters exhibit, and that is what stands out more than anything. It's the difference that I see in how cars are tuned overseas versus the States. Not to say that we can't get it done over here, but it usually involves stepped up cam timing that blows the low speed driveability and efficiency. I bet if the boost was turned down on your cars that they could do the daily grind with no trouble on pump gas.
in germany we have E85 on gasoline station and is cheaper than pump gas
How's the fuel economy running on E85, considering the lower btu content with the VW's and the Mitsubishi? I like the idea of having an E85 optimized combination, but the concern I have is not giving up too much in the mpg department for maximum power. There are enough stations in the major markets that offer E85 so that is not a concern, but I just have this thing about going to the pump every other minute.
By the way, depending on the engine management system, can you remote tune? Would be cool to do a car and have you guys get it running properly.
