I rewatch this video weekly to keep my momentum up on my AWD 4g Colt.. truly inspiring to watch a man take a Colt to the 7s. I love watching any Colt run any times really. Wish AG auto and dan kept the Colt around and pushed the boundaries like Devin has with the demon.

@@itsZoyb from what I've heard he was hoping it would be more of a challenge to get to the 7s. But 2 summer's and he was there so he got bored quickly. Also more then likely realized he probably maxed out the aero of the body and driveline components. Being manual with that power level it takes alot of bling bling to keep them going too.

That’s dedication to your craft, tons of let down passes, broken parts, and tens of thousands spent. I bet it’s still all worth it in the end. Props to these 4 banger guys for not giving up and building an LS Fox.

@@matt2452 sorry.. if that's true, it might need some tuning. My '91 4G15 with the right setup only takes around 5 secs to 60 kmph in 1st gear (GPS speedo), stock engine & gearbox, custom header & exhaust only.

Its Powered by Mitsubishi, its a Dodge Colt, but its actually an Mitsubishi, with rebadged name, other than that, its purely Mitsubishi.

Great job 4g63 always a devil his master Sakura racing was the first 4 cylinder to touch 7s back in the day in Puerto Rico with this engine.
Luis, Sakura was running a Mitsubishi G54 2.6L Single cam 8 valve engine from the Starion and Conquest not the DOHC 4G63 16 valve engine from the Eclipse and Galants like this one. I remember that car, It went 7.40's over 22 years ago, That was something almost impossible in mid 90's!

haha that's similar to what I did with my rally build, but I used a Mini Cooper chassis LOL
I really want to see one of these with a full exhaust and turbo under the hood it would definitely be the ultimate sleeper I didn't even know about this model of car until this build.
Colt wagons are badass and nobody expects them to be fast
I've got a 4 door 88 colt i just got done 4g63 swapping...there isn't much space at all in these engine bays once you start putting bigger parts on it...gotta get creative with placement of everything. Car stock before swap weighed 2050. These cars book. The stock 1.6 4g32b turbo that came in the car made the car scoot for it only having 90hp.

This is no longer the 90’s where majority of American muscle with huge V8 motors dominated the scene. The late 2000’s are showing the world that 4cylinders can run fast times with these crazy builds and technology.

70PSI is the new 50psi.lol Engine management systems, fuel systems, turbo technology etc. have all played a role in the power production levels we're seeing currently. It's not uncommon to see sleeved blocks running 80 to 100+psi

I love drag racing! And congrats to that team building that car! What does wet block and no o-rings mean btw?
It has coolant in the jacket, lots of drag builds run no coolant. O rings are copper or steel rings that surround the cylinder sleeve for extra clamping force for the head to block mating surface, to take more boost/cylinder pressure.

I can see the rear going through a lot of camber gain, but it looks like it's getting some toe change as well. Is it just a weird camera angle?
IMO the car could definitely benefit from some well-thought-out suspension work!

Pretty bad A... yet more awesome to me is BOBA's MKII Golf. It is a complete vehicle with all the seats, plus a full exhaust. It may be TUV compliant, definitely a street car by US standards. The DSG car is amazing and shoots straight out of the hole. Both of them masters of what they do. Respect

DAMN IT DUDE! I used to own one of these that I built and I fucking traded it for a piece of shit. It had a built 4g63t in it, and I had it tuned on a Frankenstein 19c turbo and 1200cc injectors and it made 429 wheel horsepower on 22 psi. Granted, mine was tuned on an Apex'i SAFCII, and it wasn't AWD, but it isn't hard to build them, but you gotta have the money to build an engine like that. Congratulations on this build brother, it is amazing!

Ya, I have three of these. Two Colts and a Mirage. Well, not quite like this one... Eh, not anything like this one. All 4G61T though.... and of course FWD. The 4WD conversion is sick!
This is a killer build, but risky as hell, IMO. What the car really needs is suspension work. Get the spring and shock rates right, some tweaking of other parts for strength and to reduce flex and alignment changes under hard acceleration.... This car has another half a second in it. Dang. Impressive as hell.

The Colt will outrun the awd civics, or at the least, the Colt will give the civic hard run for the money, and the civic will have difficulties getting to this colt.

Shit, my FWD 4g63t swapped Colt was really hard to hold onto under full boost, I couldn't imagine this. My car had a 1/3rd of the power, but it was crazy.
I even had a 4g61t in it at one point and I have seen Colt GT guys run 10s on that engine. It was so much more suited for that chassis than the 4g63t.
Yeah, and now I have a 508 wheel horsepower turbo 97 Honda Civic coupe.
