As a Giants fan, kind of insane that we allowed Togo - ate a bunch of innings with short rest again this year, Taisei - injured most of last year and spent more than a month on the sidelines this year as well, Yoshikawa - played every game and had a bit of injury concern towards the end, all while we are hopefully playing deep into the playoffs. Especially while some of the pacific league players such as Miyagi and Sasaki weren't selected for fatigue issues.
I wonder if its Chikamoto's own choice to sit out for most of these tournaments because it is pretty odd considering how generally well regarded he is. Married man with two young kids, likes to be close to home, plus he's got his side business/charity thing now.
I think you were a tad harsh on Sano Keita. Sure! He's a liability in defense but he's been pretty solid with the bat for a number of years and has a low strike rate as you already mentioned. I certainly don't hate his selection.
It seems that Roki Sasaki can't do anything right in the eyes of the public this year? I assume the decision was made based on mutual discussions between Lotte and Samurai Japan, but there are many people who are once again accusing him of being weak and/or selfish. It must have been hard for him to play throughout the season when faced against such constant barrage of unwarranted criticism.
Majority of npb fans seems to be pesimisitc abt there players getting called up, and prolly same for the npb teams the rosters kinda mid compared to the last premier12.
this dude and the other japanese baseball dude my 2 favorite youtubers atm

Not a single Swallows player. :(

Munetaka Murakami ????????????
Roki Sasaki???????
The outfield is kinda weird. Im puzzled by the Sano pick too (although he can hit i guess???)
It’s decent… all-star level, however no superstar… kinda worried
