Comb jellies belongs to Phylum Phylum Ctenophora, commonly known as sea walnuts, are exclusively marine, radially symmetrical, diploblastic organisms with tissue level of organisation. The body bears eight external rows of ciliated comb plates, which help in locomotion. Bioluminescence is well-marked in ctenophores. Some of the common examples are Pleurobrachia, Ctenoplana, Beroe, Mnemiopsis and Bolinopsis.
Bio photons have 8 different rays,it all originates from a single source, the sun it self, greenhouse pollution has altered the largest ecosystem on the planet, since water continues to overlap Earth's surface by as much as 70% the biggest polluters by far is China India and the US,so before a few of us desire to relocate to a different planet,I think we should focus on preserving, protecting everything we have been blessed with thousands of years ago.
would an organism with no brain have any stream of consciousness? a neural network but no brain puts a brick wall in my head that i cant figure out. i havent tapped into this but im curious to know what it would be like to not have any reaction other than just pure action. humans are fascinating but oddly enough, that seems even more fascinating to me
Kingdom Animalia Phylum: Ctenophora Mostly transparent body, tissue level organisation, has tentacles with lasso cells for capturing food, Has 8 cilliated comb plates for locomotion, shows bioluminescence
Although cnidarians are among the closest relatives of ctenophores, cnidarians are more closely related to bilatarians then they are to comb jellies. And comb jellies are equally as closely related to the parahexazoa (the monophyletic sub kingdom that includes our kind and sea jellies) and the other distantly related animals, the sponges.
I was curious if the animal in the video was a ctenophora of the Nuda class, as it looks quite similar: - it doesn't seem to have tentacles - feeds on other ctenophora - has raptorial feeding behavior I don't know if there's an expert to answer this question, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could =)

A couple things: comb jellies (ctenophores) aren't jellyfish (cnidarians), and the color being given off is due to diffraction, not refraction.
i was thinking the same. wanted to use this video in my bio class but NATGEO seriously disappointed this time

Another thing : " Jelly fish is not any scientific term, it used to be, so it doesnt matter as we are okay with blue green algae being not an algae
