It’s finally here! I’ve been looking forward to this video as I *ADORE* pistols in video games. Truly an underrated option in some games. Also, because the video’s out, I won’t explode!
Pistols tend to be so dope. The Black Mesa Glock shown at the start, the many options in PAYDAY, the rifle-grade handguns in Borderlands 2, the wimpy but trusty universal sidearm in XCOM 2012, I love them all. Though I gotta say, ever since I tried the 9mm Autoloader in Ashes Afterglow, I've found my favourite handgun ever. Don't even need to upgrade it to the 3-round burst (which is another monster entirely) or at all for that matter, even if it's in the rusty ill-kept stock form it works great for spamming against thugs or finishing off a mutant once your shotgun is dry and melee is a bad idea.
Since the first time i tried the 2007 version of TF2, i've always loved the pistol You expect a semi auto pea shooter, but get a mini SMG with usable damage No need to spawn fire, no need to manually reload the minuscule clips I'd play a Valve game where you only have the pistol any time
I'm actually surprised that valve (back when they were giving actual updates and not just bug fixes) hasn't made a new pistol for engineer considering the fact that he's a texan and cowboys are know for their quick draws using pistols, most of whice are revolvers
Bro I adore the DMC 3 aesthetic in this video, also for some reason using the engineer's pistol feels better than using the scout's, could be because as engineer you really don't have much to work with when you're running the rescue ranger and the jag lol, the pistol surprised me by how effective it was
That and the enormous ammo reserve eases the pressure of running out for more ammo, which the Scout has an easier time doing. (No, I'm not counting dispenser hoggers, those are noobs)
The pocket pistol is perfectly fine man, if you simply MUST nerf it just nerf it's ammo reserve or something because as it currently stands sure it's fast and has regen but that faster fire rate has a mentality to spam it and burn out your ammo pool

This is one of the best videos you have made the paceing just great and the joke keep coming
Really loved this video, it's charm is great, and I learned how to use these weapons effectively!
I love the pistol, you can DPS dudes down with it.
The quality of your videos has been improving dramatically, good work Fish Stick.
On a Stick.
Loving all the DMC references in the video, class act
Following up shots with tracked, powerful pistol aim and getting the kill is a moment of motivation.
I saw the DMC reference from miles away, the DMC3 OST still hit hard as all hell
Unironically I've used the winger so long and so consistently (it's been my universal secondary for like 6 years) it's hardwired into my brain, if I'm playing scout, I instinctually switch to secondary whenever I jump lol
This thumbnail just makes me think of Dante doing the last hit Baseball swing of Dance Macabre saying "BONK!" 😂
I love the dmc3 transitions, great job on those, and the vid in general.
Hmmm, something about that thumbnail fills me with motivation
For engineer I think there should be an anti-gunslinger that lets your dispensers overheal to like half the normal amount
Love the dmc theme. One of my favorite game series.
fish, this is your best edited video by far
I like the pomson for battle engineer, especially on ctf maps cuz getting a domination with just the pomson is *hilarious*
Another great, high effort video! Love to see it! c:
The DMC3 transitions instantly earned my sub.
This is some amazing editing right there. Great job, you're really improving!
One of the most solid videos yet fish, loved the stills for the change of chapter.
Engineer: "I try your way for once."
Scout: "remember what we used to say" *smirk*
Engineer: *smirk as well*
Engineer/Scout: *put out pistol together and say* "Jackpot" *and shoot*
The DMC episode?
I’m down lmfao
Engi: I’ll try it your way for once
Scout: remember what we used to say
Spy: no. Don’t do it
Scout and engi: jackpot
I can’t count the amount of times pretty boy’s has saved me from being burnt to a crisp by a pyro, or blown to smithereens by a soldier, it’s crazy good for both damage and healing and you barely have that much of a hinderance with a reduced ammo size.

The editing here is top notch.
Audio, visuals, timing, the entire presentation complements the analysis. You can tell this took plenty of effort from a dedicated creator to make.
Your DMC references are yet another reminder i need to get back into those games.
Since the first time i tried the 2007 version of TF2, i've always loved the pistol
You expect a semi auto pea shooter, but get a mini SMG with usable damage
No need to spawn fire, no need to manually reload the minuscule clips
I'd play a Valve game where you only have the pistol any time
bro this editing is getting better and better. the improvement is extremely obvious to see. good job bro
Just gonna throw out an idea here: if the pocket pistol does need a small slap on the wrist maybe a slower reload speed could work.
10-15% damage penalty could do it too, shave off 1-3 damage per hit losing 9-27 damage per clip.
Slower reload would be prime. You get a fast burst of high damage that also heals, but boy you better make that magazine _count._
I legit jumped when I heard the DMC loading thing. I 've played too much of that game
I'm actually surprised that valve (back when they were giving actual updates and not just bug fixes) hasn't made a new pistol for engineer considering the fact that he's a texan and cowboys are know for their quick draws using pistols, most of whice are revolvers
Vorobey teached me exactly how powerful this devil can be in the right hands.
*taught
Bro I adore the DMC 3 aesthetic in this video, also for some reason using the engineer's pistol feels better than using the scout's, could be because as engineer you really don't have much to work with when you're running the rescue ranger and the jag lol, the pistol surprised me by how effective it was
That and the enormous ammo reserve eases the pressure of running out for more ammo, which the Scout has an easier time doing. (No, I'm not counting dispenser hoggers, those are noobs)
I love the Devil May Cry styling for each section. Well done!
The pocket pistol is perfectly fine man, if you simply MUST nerf it just nerf it's ammo reserve or something because as it currently stands sure it's fast and has regen
but that faster fire rate has a mentality to spam it and burn out your ammo pool
The slight nerf it deserves is _reload speed._ You still have your damage burst, but you damn better make it COUNT.
The comparison of the defense of the wrangler to the Nuremberg trials is possibly the funniest bit ever done in a TF2 video
The stock pistol is unironically my favorite weapon in tf2
And it's not difficult to see why!
Can we appreciate the beauty in this video's style in editing? Some of the best work you can see on this platform
As an Average Battle Engineer I must tell you how much the pistol has gotten me out of a pickle.. also valve please add another pistol to the Engie
This video format (references to another game + going over a subset of weapons instead of a single weapon) is sick af, good work
Also, to fix the pocket pistol I would just get rid of the firing speed bonus and replace it with the old no fall damage buff.
Same.
Perfectly balanced, as all things apparently should be.
But fall damage is what, 5HP at most?
awesome video, fish. love listening to you talk about this game. made me wanna play. i always loved all the stock weapons in this game, especially the stock shotty and pistol
Honestly, if we ever get a TF3, I’d like Scout to switch from scatterguns to akimbo pistols. I dunno I just think it fits.
No, just no
NEVER
It's like... his only unique feature
I guess, but no, that would turn scout into already existing shooter characters. Its part of his identity.
I once killed scout with a single mag of winger thanks to random crits lmao, bro melted in a second and it was quite a funny team fortress 2 moment
Immortal temptation takes over my mind
Condemned
Fallen weak on my knees, summon the strength
Of mayhem
I am the storm that is approaching
Provoking black clouds in isolation
I am reclaimer of my name
Born in flames, I have been blessed
My family crest is a demon of death
Forsakened, I am awakened
A phoenix's ash in dark divine
Descending misery
Destiny chasing time
Inherit the nightmare, surrounded by fate
Can't run away
Keep walking the line between the light
Led astray
Through vacant halls I won't surrendеr
The truth revеaled in eyes of ember
We fight through fire and ice forever
Two souls once lost, and now they remember
I am the storm that is approaching
Provoking black clouds and isolation
I am reclaimer of my name
Born in flames, I have been blessed
My family crest is a demon of death
Forsakened, I am awakened
A phoenix's ash in dark divine
Descent in misery
Destiny chasing time
Disappear into the night
Lost shadows left behind
Obsession's pulling me
Fading, I've got to take what's mine
Lurking in the shadows under veil of night
Constellations of blood pirouette
Dancing through the graves of those who stand at my feet
Dreams of the black throne I keep on repeat
A derelict of darkness, summoned from the ashes
The puppet master congregates all the masses
Pulling strings, twisting minds as blades hit
You want this power?
Then come try and take it
Beyond, the tree, fire, burns
Secret love, bloodline, yearns
Dark minds, embrace, crimson, joy
Does your dim heart
Heal or destroy?
Bury the light deep within
Cast aside, there's no comming home
We're burning chaos in the wind
Drifting in the ocean all alone
“Jackpot!”
Me laughing really hard after seeing an I am the storm that is approaching meme for 1000th time:
😐
@@doinyamom5810 you’re welcome.
that thumbnail goes so hard
The Fan of War paired with any of the scouts pistols is an extremely deadly combo, as long as you can hit your shots.
Damn, that gives me some naaaasty ideas.
Through my career of tf2 whenever I played scout or engineer the pistol always saved me in bad situations.
It's the trustiest secondary. No wonder it's stock.
