I'm fairly new to weaving on the table loom so I don't understand how you figure out what other weft pattern you can make when the warp is already established in a specific sequence. I guess it will just take more time and practice to understand this better.
It does take time Carolyn. A good way to understand is to use a book like Anne Dixon's Handweaver's Pattern Directory and work your way through some of the drafts you like. For each draft, she provides multiple weaving options by changing the combination of shafts or weft size or colour.
Love this example! I can see myself really liking this new pattern in some colors that are different enough but still blend well, like green and blue.
