The BLK.10 frame definitely has the instant agility advantage over the BLK.15 and BLK.20, but if I'm being honest, with how I play the plane, I don't really notice it. I don't like to get very slow because I fear a 3rd party plenty of times. Therefore, I will either stay at very high speeds and constantly take verticals, or I will keep the F-16 between ~800-850km/h IAS to get the best rate speed out of her (You can get 25-26 degrees per second sustained on RB controls). I will use either method at discretion, but prefer the rate when I can since no one can keep with you. That Mig-29 may be able to pull around fast, but after he gets below 550-600, it's over if he doesn't already have a shot.
Personally having the high speed pull is crucial, especially when I don't see missiles coming in time and NEED to get into the notch before they get to me
Going vertical is what gets me killed in the block 15 because the high speed turning is just non-existent. Everything feels infinitely better flying the block 10 than the block 15. It feels bad in the block 15 to be going vertical an being an absolute brick, radar missiles are 100% unavoidable if you do it unless you know no one else is going to 3rd party you.
@@GeneralLee2000 I can understand that perspective and I do admit that every so often, I would have liked an extra G of pull. But given my playstyle, I tend to be more defensive when I can and play to avoid drawn out conflict. It's partly why I keep so much speed; so I can get in and get the fuck out as fast as possible. Don't doubt the significance of the extra pull instant agility for anyone more aggressive than myself.
@@Broomtwo When you say radar missiles are 100% unavoidable, what ranges are we talking about. Because if you're not maneuvering while head-on to a Mig-29 that is locking you within 6km, you probably deserve that death... The high compression is also mostly found at lower altitudes, which is an area I try to avoid since it leaves me with less options. If I either have to go low or an forced low, I will use the vertical so I can cash in some of my speed for altitude and position. I will also be keeping track of my surroundings and remembering the last known positions of enemies I know are not yet dead.
@@Registered_Simp Basically within like 5-10 km, if you can't see someone and you go vertical at high speed, then as you go vertical you get radar locked, you are pretty much dead because of the g-limit and terrible turn rate. Its just a risk. If you know where everyone on the enemy team is, then its fine for turning your speed into altitude if you have time to do the maneuver before they are in range. The compression/g-limit is worse on the ADF so its harder to notch missiles in time in general if you are going super-sonic and can't see someone and they launch a radar missile at relative short range. That's why I either hug the ground to defeat missiles if I am going fast, and I usually sit at trans-sonic speeds if I am low to mid-alittude so I can cut enough speed to notch in time.
The F4S isn't meant to dogfight, and dogfighting one on one isn't really a thing in top-tier. Just make sure you can hit your missiles and run, don't turn with anyone.
this is what happens when u dont know how top tier or jets at all work and jsut buy it thinking its an instant win button, F4S can be very good if you play it right, i.e. keep your distance and dont dogfight unless absolutely necessary and lob sparrows at people from afar

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Sadly my puter is bricked right now. Im just really excited to see the f15 come. Im honestly confused as to why we got the f14b before the f15
Its confusing in general that we haven't gotten the F-15. We have F-14s, F-16s, and MiG-29s. The F-15, Su-27 the F/A-18 are the only ones weirdly missing.
I have no idea what's wrong with the people thinking the block 5/10 irl are better dogfighters than the block 15/20 onwards. the argument "increase in weight" is stupid, the difference is only 280kg over 7690kg empty weight. That a 3,6% increase in weight. The elevator increase is 30% of the surface. Even then, the "wing loading" difference is neglegible for that reason of just 3,6% increase in weight. If you actually take a look at the Flight Performance diagrams (E-M diagrams) they are exactly the same at the same altitude for every speed/G turn etcetera. So, please, all of you trying to "justify" this bullshit, stop doing that, the F-16 ADF and MLU irl are superior to the block 5/10 because they are able to carry Aim-7. The flight performance with same payload is not inferior.

Hell Ya the Netz and the Kfir(young Lion) C7 with Pythons so much better than the Chinese J-8F with PL-8 that is actually in real life is a tiny bit weaker than the Python 3 but Gaijin puts the thing with the same stats .. of course. Plus the PL-8 only has a 38G overload and does do mach 4 but they throw it up in the game as 40G same EXACT as the Python ... "hope that gets changed" the Python 3 does have a 40G and only can reach 15km real life and does mach 3.5 . So gaijin has to of course make things the way they make em for reasons i guess.
@@Hundreddilation ya idk The J-8F is a delta wing as well and bleeds a lot of speed but for the dog fights you have to have A LOT in your favor and if a person doesn't pull away and open the gap plus the flight performance isn't the best. But if you are playing against a person that knows a little bit about this J-8F then most likely you be heading back to the hangar. But hey this is WT and that's few and far between 🤫 So yes the Chinese plane gets HMD and it really isn't that much of a benefit, don't get me wrong it is but it's a slight one. Also this thing only get radar missiles and thats it. So thats a game changer as well. Either way, at least Gaijin is dropping in something nice into the game to grind for.👍✌
@@Hundreddilation IF a person tries to energy fight you and you are in the J-8F you most likely end up with a bad outcome. The thing bleeds speed pretty quick and you want to get slow and make sure they commit to the fight. This does have amazing controllability especially if you use a keyboard and being able to get a reversal in can be done. It's pretty much like the J-8B and the nose can flop around and you can get some pretty nasty snapshots and you can get the nose to go where you want it. So if you made it down the Chinese line then you know how it is. But you need to sneak around the side of the map to get kills in and stick to the ground so ya can't get SARH missiles launched at you.
The reason the earlier models performed better is because John Boyd designed the prototype as the ultimate dog fighter and every time they update it and add more stuff it constraints the performance, so the earlier the model the closer the idea he envisioned
I just feel bad when nato jets get missiles like the 9L and Python 3s, when the russian jets are stuck with r60ms with absolutely no flare resistance.. r73 where gaijin ?!
R60m barely has any range like below 2.5km for a guaranteed kill and then people will almost definitely see it and flare. I’ve even had it miss when it’s a perfect shot. I swear if the su-27 or the mig-29s come out with only r-60m
@@GeneralLee2000 as much as i would like to agree to that lee, you gotta note.. a radar missile is far easier to notice coming than a IR missile, also you only get 2 of them.. while the python is 6.. it's the quality vs quantity debate which in this case is mostly won by the nato countries.. And further, the we can't say that the r60 is alright, when the aim9L pulls the same Gs, goes further and is more flare resistant.. python just takes it further
MiG-29 gets the best flight performance and the best radar missile, and the r73 is far more capable than Python 3's and AIM-9L's, if the MiG-29 had it it would have the best radar missiles, the best IR missiles, and the best flight performance.

Hey Lee, love the content, happy bithday btw, forgot to tell your the week before, and the week before that.
Glad you like my content :) but it's not my bday 😭
So what your saying is if the python was on the MiG 29 it would be your favorite. Or if it was on a prop plane.
Depends on the BR. Not a huge fan of the J-8F because that airframe at top tier isn't the best, but in general Python 3 makes plane goog
I think that the r27t or r24t are the best ir missiles.
I think this plane has the best top tier turn time, i know its the fastest turn time for an f16 in the game
At low speeds I believe so, yes.
IDK why we didn't get the R73 when they added the Python 3 with 40Gs
Because the R73 is a better python 4. No reason for it to be in the game.
i played the f4s today and i never was so dissapointed with a premium vehicle i perfrom way better with the a10 in dogfights than with that thing
Dont Forget that Kfir C2 event vehicle got the Python 3 as well but only thing is the wings rip on tight @$$ turns.
Dang finally! I thought I was the only one who thought so. But the weird thing is that the kfir canard doesn't do that though, right?

Its crazy how the 3 best F16, there isnt one that is american. Imo, the 3 best F16 is the Netz, the F16Aj and the F16 MLU
their next option is the F16C im pretty sure, they are sitting just fine with the f14 at the moment
@@molstad182 I personally don’t like the F14. I find it to be a way too huge targets for my playstyle. I love playing dog fighter
F-16 Netz is a Block 10, but the AJ and MLU are Block 20s. AJ and MLU have the performance of the Block 10, but can carry AIM-7, which means they're both MLUs. The reason why the US doesn't get the MLU is because the MLU (Mid-Life Upgrade) is similar in performance to the F-16C. However, Japan never operated the F-16C, instead electing to have Mitsubishi Heavy Industries produce the F-2, which was a licensed copy of the F-16C, modified with slightly larger wings in order to fulfill a support role. Taiwan was forbidden from purchasing the F-16C (ordained by China), so instead they got upgraded Block 10s, which became the MLU (Block 20).
What does this mean for the US tech tree? This means that next in line is the F-16C, since it's the same as the MLU in performance, but with the capability of carrying the AIM-7 and the first generation AIM-120.
Note: F-16AJ doesn't exist. Gaijin put it in because Japan got a single F-16 as a sample test, but the JASDF chose not to buy it.
@@bigtime9597 the MLU doesn’t have the maneuverability of the Block 10 tho, it has the maneuverability of the Block 15, the F16 ADF. From what I have experienced, the difference between the f16 are the next one :
F16A : 60 flares, no radar missiles and best maneuverability
F16ADF : 60 flares, radar missiles and worse maneuverability.
F16AJ : same as the F16A, but with Radar missiles
F16MLU : Same as the F16ADF, but with more flares and a better radar
F16 Netz : same as the F16A, but with the best small range ir missiles in the game right now.
Gaijin should really change the high speed maneuverability of the F16. It’s disgusting how bad it is right now compared to other aircrafts

F-16A Netz is a F-16A Block 10. We have six F-16 ingame: USA F-16A Block 10, USA F-16A Block 15 ADF, ITA F-16A Block 15 ADF, TWN F-16A Block 20, ISR F-16A Block 10 Netz.
F-16C/D Block 30 in Israeli service are called Barak.
I have the F-16A ADF and the Netz. It is a night and day difference for me, the difference between their flight models. The ADF feels like an absolute brick. And is deeply unfun to fly. The block 10 Netz actually feels like it can maneuver, and not to mention it has Python 3's now, I think I would rather have 6 Python 3's than 4 AIM-9L's and 2 sparrows. Netz is the best F-16 in the game right now in my opinion. I've got like a 4:1 or 5:1 KD flying it out.
Fair and valid!
Nuts. This makes me really want the Netz now. 🤣I have the ADF, and love it, but you definitely need to drop throttle and airbrake a lot in it if someone gets on your tail.

Oh we were? ahaha nice!
4:37 an aim-9L could hit that, and if it was a bit close the r-60m could as well
I don’t think it could that was pretty intense pull there especially with the 9Ls low pull off rail
Which nations have the block 20? I know the ADF is a hand me down block 15 but I didn’t realize there was a block 20 too.
China's MLU is block 20

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Sadly my puter is bricked right now. Im just really excited to see the f15 come. Im honestly confused as to why we got the f14b before the f15
Because the F14B is barely different than the A model. The next aircraft for the US is either a F15 or F/A-18
@@ICECAPPEDSKY possibly F-15 first, F-18 were introduced later

Its confusing in general that we haven't gotten the F-15. We have F-14s, F-16s, and MiG-29s. The F-15, Su-27 the F/A-18 are the only ones weirdly missing.
@@GeneralLee2000 I'm ready for the new fastest plane in thr game. 4 sparrows 4 9Ls on that will be fun

Gaijn probably just made it like that since it’s easier to just have them both do the same and the J-8F is a tiny bit better since HMD
But you need to sneak around the side of the map to get kills in and stick to the ground so ya can't get SARH missiles launched at you.
pl-8 is better because of the mao bias capabilities ❤
hmm? Wdym?
you mean the invisible missile bug? that happens with all missiles, happened to me with the aim 9L multiple times

The reason the earlier models performed better is because
John Boyd designed the prototype as the ultimate dog fighter and every time they update it and add more stuff it constraints the performance, so the earlier the model the closer the idea he envisioned
@@gollygosh with how the thing are going the su27 will come with R60s a hardcap of 2 ERs and no ETs
I mean in exchange they get the R-27ER which is the best radar missile ingame by a long shot... and the R-60M is still alright, just lacks range.
