another beautiful moment in music history.
The most chilled out presenter ever. Aussies rule for that attitude
Damian Brown Yea man, so laid back. Aussies are the coolest.
I've always loved how chill the guys from Slayer are. One of my favorite bands for sure.
Let the music do the talking. No time for fake public images.
Such a sick interview. Slayer and Cypress Hill are awesome.
Cool fucking interviewer. Invited an unplanned person onto the set, friendly as hell.
Ryan O'Toole Jimmy Page!
was thinking the same. that guy is the bull. great interview. Scrolled down to say the same shit. ur the bull also... mahalos
"Give the mic to Dive" says the Aussie.
😂😂😂
"Dave from Slayer" i dont know why thats so hilarious to me
Kaelpie hey is the guy from slayer lol
Kaelpie Its weird they say it like hes from some shitty underground band
He's one of the best drummers in the world so I don't know why that;s funny either.
As funny as Dave from Metallica
Really isn't funny.
Dave and Slayer.
Both still kill it!!
Despite time and its changes.
Slayer and Cypress Hill rules!
Steve ok boomer
@@thats_tuff56 That’s a praise in this thread, homie. lol
Dave's BY FAR the best drummer I have ever heard.
Gene Hoglan and Richard Christy are great drummers. Look up the albums Individual Thought Patterns, Symbolic, and The Sound of Perseverance all by the band Death...
Weedy Wizard another avid Death fan. Fuck yeah I hope you see this 5 year old comment lol

Lmao
Facts!
Fantastic.... what a small world it is... you can clearly tell theyre old friends.. awesome
+Martin Rosendahl different music yet pure at hearts...love it
hip-hop and metal comin together, an....an unexpected and beautiful thing
Cypress Hill and Slayer a really down-to-earth I mean the guy is even went to school together. no Race bias, all love. music brings us together!
They are Cubans
@@mig21L Dave's last name suggests he is of Italian decent tho
@@CGJUGO80 dave is cuban
@@CGJUGO80 nope he’s 💯 % Cuban they both are.
@@BERSERKER-1313 I get it. But Lombardy is in Italy. There's a reason it's his last name. None of us know what Dave's great grandfather was up to. lol
The Absolute best metal drummer.....EVEEER
Not even close
"Slayer playing at lunch time at school" lol
Somewhere in this world is a kickass Highschool that schools amazing musicians...part of Slayer and Cypress Hill from the same school?! Holy Hell Yea!
PunkRobsSinema: That was South Gate California. Cypress hill is from South Gate. They got there name from a street they lived on which was Cypress St. Slayer of course was from the city Huntington Park California where Tom Araya and Kerry King lived. They used to practice in Tom Araya’s garage in the 80’s.
@@javiercarrillo8208South Gate and HP are both very close to each ofher
I love how none of the guys in Slayer really act metal. Like Dave is incredibly intellectual & friendly, Tom is just extremely happy go lucky and goofy, Kerry is super chill. I think maybe Jeff was the only member but he was very private. You'd never think they made up the worlds most notorious, Satanic cult like metal band lol
***** You sound a bit pretentious yourself.
***** sorry bro, i disagree! i love metal bands to be metal !
Your Mother agreed
*****
well at least metal is legit music !! ill give you old hip hop was real when it started but now its fake!! by the way metalheads I've found are the nicest people i know ,and metal unites all kinds of races! we just hate justin bieber cuntya west ect.
+Cameron Hawes More often than not, especially with more established metal bands, is what you see on stage is just part of an act and their public persona. When you meet them in real life, for the most part they're anything but metal. Joey Belladonna from Anthrax lives not too far from me - and when you see him out and about he's just a regular dude - plays 70's classic rock in a cover band at local bars on the weekends... very approachable. Even guys like the bass player from that very vile, vulgar, infamous shock metal band "The Mentors" - in real life, he's a family man, director of engineering for a scientific analytical device company, holds patents, etc. When I saw them live, afterwards, I asked him how does his life as "Dr. Heathen Scum" intersect with his professional life - and he just said "it doesn't - The Mentors is just a comedy act".
My favorite metal band and my favorite rap group! I love it!
this was fucking awesome! two of the most influencial groups of their own genres! i grew up listening to both! and the fact that they mentioned tomahawk and fantomas was a plus, nothing but great talent here.
The thing about living in SoCal is it is a huge cultural melting pot. the majority of the time youre prone to have friends from different ethnic backgrounds and musical taste, and you familiarize yourself with the diversity that is the community you reside in. i can relate a lot to Dave, being a guitar playing metalhead and having musically collaborated with friends who were hip hop fans for shits and giggles. so its cool to see unexpected friendships like these people from other wordly regions would find foreign
Yeah so not like that in tampa. Very divided. In high school, my high school anyways we kept to ourselves racially during lunch time
That's why, socially, SoCal is the fucking BEST.
+09mrhardabs When I went to High school, it was pretty diverse...in my city anyways, blacks, whites, Hispanics etc all kinda hung out together, there wasn't much racially charged problems...I'm total metal but I knew and hung out with many rappers n hip hoppers, it was all good though, we all respected what we liked and really, it was pretty chill all around.
dude I'm from the coachella valley in socal and it's all mexican at least in my highschool, maybe at the coast its a cultural melting pot but not here in the desert
I grew up with both Chicano rap/underground and metal/Goth/alternative, going to gigs/shows and hip hop/mc events.
Be blessed
Dave must be one hell of a person ! One of the best drummers in the world from one of the best bands!!
Sendog and Dave Lombardo got their drafting & science learn on together. So now you know. InSLAIN in the membrain!!!
Hahaha okay I see what you did there
Josh Morris
MISFITS!!!!!!!!!
\MM/!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up in SoCal. As a high school kid I ran into Dave on the back of the Sunset Blvd bus (line 2), of all places, this was like '98 on the way to the Sunset Strip. This was a Friday or Saturday early evening around 7pm, I was wearing a metal band shirt, jeans and Doc Martin's - typical metalhead colors. He had on the typical ratty clothes he wears. So we chatted, then he casually mentioned who he was and I didn't really believe him, he just laughed it off, made more small talk, got up from his seat and got off the bus a few stops before mine and that was that. Years later, now in my 40's, I re-recalled that incident and its so obvious it was him! He was just saving a few bucks on parking and being un-rockstar that night, my 10th grade high school mind just couldn't process the situation.. lol
Two legends: Slayer and Cypress.
They are both child hood friends and Cuban. Cool that they still show the respect for each other
What a great video. Mind-blowing to hear those guys went to high school together.
Dave Lombardo seems like such a cool guy in interviews. He and Tom (Araya) always seem so relaxed.
fuckin' Cypress Hill and Slayer, now that would be a cool ass show to see
Cypress Hills guys seems to me like the nicest dudes in rap world.
I love this type of shit; NICE!
That aussie accent is just awesome...
thanks
This is unbelievable! Not only does one of my favourite drummer from one of my favourite bands join an interview with my favourite Hip Hop group, but Duane Denison and Mike Patton from Tomahawk get a shout, mentioning Dave is playing with Mike that night in Fantômas! Insane!
it is quite cool how cypress hill mix with the other genres of the world it's kinda impossible to believe these guys are telling a legit story how it was and it's not just some publicity stunt but if they are damn that's fucking cool
Cypress and Superjoint... a show i'd love to see
I had no idea that Sen Dog and Dave Lombardo went to the same High School. Or less so, that they were classmates. How freaking cool ain´t that on a scale? =)
How inspiring such union and camaraderie. I wish I was part of that group. Hehe.
What an awesome moment. Respect to these OGs.
Two of the best bands ever!!!!
That's what I'm talking about! Never woulda thought it. Only ever saw it possible in my music playlist.
That is one black white guy sitting back there.
The Clarences love & support V, Cypress Hill & Slayer!
Cypress went to high school with Slayer?!? That’s Amazin
Ran into Dave at Disneyland when i was in middle school. I was super into Slayer at the time so i immediately recognized him. He was jus sitting on some bench all alone as if he was waiting for someone. I asked him if his name was Dave an he said yea. I said "Uh Dave Lombardo from Slayer?!" an he was like "thats me lol". So fucking humble an down to earth he stood an talked to me an my dad for about 10mins or so, was more than happy to take a picture with me, the whole nine. Daves the shit!
Dave and Sen Dog are both Cuban also
Dave Lombardo is one bad ass drummer.
looks like they had a pretty relaxed day.
nice!
Cypress Hill and Slayer went to my Highschool 😂
"get in there tiger" lmaooo the australian accent is just too much for me
woow one of the coolest interviews ever would have never known they went to high school together
Awesome. Eyes of the insane in the brain. Hail Cypress Hill and...SLAYER!!!!!
That's pretty rad!!!! I've met Dave and he sure is one of the coolest cats around.
This is pretty damn awesome
i forgot this was before dave returned to slayer. paul was still in slayer around this time
Cali and Australia kind of have the same vibes. Sun, sea, beach, surf, happiness etc
Slayer needs to release an AC/DC cover album. I'd buy that shit in a heartbeat.
Cypress Hill is cool in my book
I love both Cypress Hill AND Slayer...Cypress Hill to get high to and have a party..Slayer to go insane and start moshpits all over :D
Cypress Hill + Slayer = Slipknot :D
love see some hip-hop/metalhead mates here guys!!
Wow two great musicians were actually classmates in high school!
Lombardo =/= entire band. I was expecting the entire band
now that jeff is dead its kinda true
BILLY DONUTS ello blazers
Dank Bonk ripper 73 Nuh Fackerz Ere
This video made me feel warm and fuzzy inside
Very nice stuff. I wanna see the whole interview if available.
haha great interview, all these guys are so chill!
They were in South Gate and James Hetfield was in the town next door, Downey, Ca.
Dave Lombardo !!! Great drummer.
my mom went to high school with sen dogg and cypress hill she showed me her year books
Lol “we like gourmet food”
3:58 "Jump in there tyga....in you go.... have a seeeat" wtf lmfao hahahahaha
They both went to South Gate High. I went to Bell High with Tom's brother and sister. Tony Campos from Static-X/Soulfly and Meegs from Coal Chamber also went to Bell. Nothing to do in the surrounding communities but start bands and play music.
I have one thing to say and one thing only...'FUCKING SLLLAYYYYERRR"
That was really awesome!!!
Dave Lombardo the best part of that interview
I came here from an ICP interview and out of random a bunch of 'Slayer' stuff came up
LOve it! Dave LOmbardo is the BOSS!
THe most interesting thing that was asked to Dave, "You know MIke and Duane in the back, they're in a band called Tomahawk?" Was that rhetorical question? Dave did not seem sure how to answer that
it was a joke.
Nooo they shoulda kept that going
I wanna see a Slayer & Cypress Hill Interview on Old School Howard Stern
"Nah, jump in there Tiger" ... so Aussie right there 😆
fucking brilliant
On a side note, Dave Lombardo and Sen Dog are both Cuban-Americans. I wonder if they ever hung out and sang Guantanamera together in high school.
Master Dave bless you
Cypress Hill, one of the few rap/hop artists/groups I like listening to, especially while smoking some herb. They have good tunes. I wanna see a collaboration of Cypress and a great metal band, tearing up the stage. Lombardo is a metal drumming GOD :)
I this respect that Metal and Hip Hop artists/fans have for each other... Listen to the names being thrown around here; Superjoint Ritual, Slayer, Tomahawk, Fantômas, and also Body Count a nice inbetween with Ice T and all that shit.
Cypress Hill also sampled a couple of Black Sabbath tracks for "Ain't Going Out Like That" off Black Sunday, you got to appreciate that shit!
It is a small world !
That's killer to meet up in another continent!
Interview was intresting and fun
when he's like 'oh that's Dave Lombardo from slayer in the audience'. Dude if I were in the audience I'd lose my shit. That's fucking Dave Lombardo.
that was a great interview
baddest drummer in metal, lombardo the only
2 Words BAD ASS!!
this is what i like to see: rap and metal in the same interview
Adam Jones from TOOL and Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine went to the same school together too.
Cypress hill is like the slayer for old school hip hop and rap but they talk about weed and fucking some pisas up slayer talks about war, killing, religious, ect. im happy that ive seen a interview with both of them :D
How old is this video. This was insightful to know.
This is AWESOME
Aren't they both Cuban?
This is fucking cool man!
holy crap sen dog talking about a band with jimmy bower in it!
Pretty much the coolest.
slayer and cypress hill AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
lol that was fucking awesome!
ow yes 2 legends!
