I'm not gonna lie, at first I thought it was the evil queen's book, but her raven goes into a skull, not on that branch that sticks up from the book/podium in that hint, so it's more likely Maleficent. And is it bad that I want her to be the next baddie because I really want to battle against her in game? XD
Every other game I played has always had Maleficent as the FINAL Big Bad so as much as I want Maleficent if we get her I’d start to worry about how much longer the game was lasting. Also Maleficent doesn’t have a spell book. I’ve heard lots of people saying it’s the Evil Queen and I would love that

I think that book belongs to the evel queen from the snow white movie...if you see when she transformed to a old lady her spell book looks just like that with the candle right aside the book

I think it is like the hourglass-it will be the main new tool featured in the next expansion. It looks like the evil queen’s from Snow White where she transforms herself into a peddler…I think it will let the player temporarily shape shift into new skins as well :) just a theory

I want Maleficent badly but she doesn’t have a spell book in Sleeping Beauty. As they tend to pull items from the source material I doubt it’s related to her. It doesn’t look the same yet the Evil Queen from Snow White has a spell book which is paired with a candle so it “might” be related to her. The aesthetic doesn’t really give me villainous vibes though so I’m not sure it’s either.
Not just Maleificent, but Princess Aurora was also not one of the choices in the survey . I think the new DLC gonna be an expansive of the European forest. With more and more fairytale disney characters coming into the game as time goes on and with forest of valor in the main island can only hold so much space, I think a new map with heavy forest theme seems logical. This allows us to add future princess houses there like Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, etc
Honestly, I can understand the theory and ikt was put nicely where your claims stand, I can't wait for it to be true ( if it will be ). It's better than my wild card theory that we're getting some of the residents from the Haunted Mansion ( Hitchhiking Ghosts, Hatbox Ghost, Constance Hatchaway ), making the expansion have some semi-horror theme attached to the expansion; as personally as much as there are things like the well of souls and the Nightmare Christmas universe and some Haunted Mansion decor, but I really want the game to also embrace the horrors as much as they can, because although Disney is known for their cutesy characters and happy sunshine mood, they are no stranger to doing more spookier moods with things like the afformentioned Haunted Mansion, aspects of Pirates of the Carribean, the entirety of Phantom Manor, the many deaths villans face like Scar getting mauled by the hyenas, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Yeah, I may be wishing too much because it's supposed to be a cozy game, but I honestly want the game to feel refreshing again, I love this game, but all the happy and positive mood does sometimes bore me, so if they were to add my wild card wish or Maleficent like in your theory., I do hope that they do step up their game, as Malifecent would absolutely be played as a threat to everyone in the valley, and I want them to turn the mood to something like the Epic Mickey series of games. IDK, that's just my shtick, but I can see why Maleficent could be the next big bad.

My theory is that the storybook doesn’t mean who is coming rather what we are getting. I think we are going to be getting more classic like DLC characters and the Evil Queen will be the villain. I also think the biomes for this DLC will be biomes that look like and are inspired by places from classic Disney movies we know and love. So many classic Disney movies open up with a storybook similar to the one on the pedestal and the branch above the book would be where The Evil Queens raven 🐦⬛would perch, she had a spell book and she’s a witch. Side note…Maleficent is a sorceress and her power comes from her staff.
I noticed yesterday when doing one of Mushu’s quests that I was showed an ink blot and asked what it looked like and I thought Maleficent. It felt like foreshadowing.
I watched the new end credits teaser, and I'm thinking we're either getting an all villains DLC or perhaps Malificent is the new villain of our main Valley with Hades being the new DLC villain (or vice-versa)? The bigger question for me is which character owns the Spell Book? A mysterious 3rd Villain, maybe?
This video was made before the teaser came out. Maleficent was obvious to me due to her absence on the survey. As far as the book goes, it's hard to say. It may NOT belong to ANY character. It could simply be our new royal tool similar to how the royal hourglass didn't belong to anyone.

its a villans spell book or heros spellbook that has a pet bird as you can see on top of the spell book is a birds perch. maleficent has her crow/ merlin has his owl.
Maleficent would be wonderful, but could it be Archimedes and Sword and the Stone characters? I would like that as well! My mind did not go to Sword and the Stone until you brought up the bird perch.
Question about PLAYSTATION CROSSPLAY!! Do you guys think, us that have individual Valleys and expansion packs for both Playstation and Switch are going to have issues using the new cross - save feature? I'm so scared of losing my hoard of items and possibly moonstones. 😅😢

@@claireaquos6532 Who knows? The developers got pretty creative with the royal hourglass. Also, it's possible we come to hold Mal's spellbook through some strange means in which we have to help her in a way. We often end up helping the villain's in DLV just as much as we end up opposing them.

Cuz it’s just not good for you to copy Mulan , cuz it would’ve been better like if you just stayed being as yourself from in DDV. But the rest of the Dreamsnaps really is absolutely beautiful as it is. But you just need to change your character just to be as you.
