GARY INDIANA HOODS

Gary (/ˈɡæri/ GARR-ee) is a city in Lake County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census the city's population was 69,093, making it Indiana's ninth-largest city. The city has been historically dominated by major industrial activity and is home to U.S. Steel's Gary Works, the largest steel mill complex in North America. Gary is located along the southern shore of Lake Michigan about 25 miles (40 km) southeast of downtown Chicago. The city is the western gateway to the Indiana Dunes National Park, and is within the Chicago metropolitan area.

Gary went down when crack hit ...then shortly after the Steel Mills started closing.... Gary is still a Steel mill town but Dont have the same effect on the town as it used to....lots of gang and random violence but not as much as it used to.... Gary used to be, what Chicago is today without the downtown

But through it all Gary is and was famous for a lot of people n things even though most of Garys history average only 100,000 ppl..... Jacksons,,Peerless patoto chips,,the first Black mayor of a City,the first All Black high school in the U.S.,,,U.S.Steel,Freddie Gibbs,Screwly G,,one of the original Murder Capitals of cities over 100k ppl,,... Denise Williams, Tank Johnson, and lots of comedians and actors and actresses are originally from Gary Indiana
