I've been telling people for years that the F series Mini is one of the best fun daily drivers. And if you want you can make them extremely track capable as well. I had my last one pretty dialed in. My current one is a more mild build. H&R springs, OZ wheels, mild tune and axleback on the way. Honestly the only thing the JCW has over the S is the big brakes. And for the bump stops, most manufacturers directions just say to cut the original which is what I did and have have no issues whatsoever.

Yeap! It's a fun little hatch. I just installed the Dinan axleback last weekend, got the JB4 tune and some other stuff more to do that'll be included in the next episode.
I didn't want to cut the bump stops in case I ever want to revert it back (wasn't 100% confident it wouldn't ruin the ride, or in case I end up selling the vehicle). Thanks for sharing!

@@MasterOfNoneMechanichello from the west coast. I have a 22 MCS (non JCW). Surprised that the ECS wheel spacers cost more or as much as the the 20mm wheel adapters that transforms the wheel bolt pattern and center hub to the bmw E series’ 5x120 which allowed me to use my old BMW wheels. Also, our engine is the B46 (that’s the emission regulation here in the US for you). Only the JCW gets the B48. All 2 liter motor in europe are all b48s.

Ronal R50 (Aero) wheels in 18x8. perfect euro flare. you can thank me later. I regret not buying a 2004 R53 Cooper S instead of the GTI I went with (dealer proximity had a play in it). The MINI was 5x the drivers car over the GTI....
