Really like being able to see, along with the sound of turbines opening up,that mph was jumping up👍The person with that idea, Essentially Thanks, not seen around the hobby flight channels that why #1 Essential RC
THANK YOU for not adding crappy music to the video like 90% of rc fpv vids... I would much rather hear the sound of the motors roaring and the wind screaming past. Why most people would want to fuck up their videos with cheesy music is beyond me...
It's great. It's like flying a plane! SWIWIN is an enterprise specializing in R & D and production of turbojet engines. It comes from China and provides you with high-quality turbojet engines and services
That's pretty cool ! I'm trying to do the same thing on a large scale aerobatic plane, but I am struggling to find a unit to give me the telemetry, what are you using ?? is the air speed coming from a pitot tube ? or gps , I'm looking for something that works off of a pitot tube which of course would be actual airspeed, I would love to know how you got the grapics in the goggles, been doing fpv headtracking for years now and just got into the dji stuff Way Cool ! let me know if you can please, thanks , mike
I'll be honest with you. It's not easy to setup. None of this works out of the box. To get the telemetry in the FPV goggles a Matek flight controller needs to be used. Soldering all that up takes effort and then it needs to have iNav firmware installed and configured. Steep learning curve. The graphics are from a separate product that interprets the telemetry data after the flight when I am editing the whole video together. Again, it's a bit fiddly. Link to it in the video description.
I was SO excited when I saw the title! Then filled with disappointment when I realised it is being flown LOS and not actually FPV! What a shame. Totally different ball game. Will you ever fly it FPV?
Yes. That is the plan with the newer faster UltraFlash with a 220 engine. Its ready, we just need to get the buddy box system setup to ensure another pilot can fly it LOS if the FPV signal is lost. Unlikely but a risk that must be covered.
Look like. Speed record for a model jet is somewhere around double that, and the airspeed record for RC model is higher again, held by a Slope Soarer Glider.

I only add music when the sound is really irritating. Like drone prop noise. Or when I do a rare musical compilation.
Excellent!
If possible, I'd paint the canopy frame black to get rid of the reflections 😎😎
I think that would make it pretty hard to see out of.
@@KillerWhale806 i think he meant to say the cabin frame and not the wind screen. black being the least reflective
Just use a polarizing filter on the camera
Brilliant video Dom! Things have come a long way since control line models😂
Brilliant Dom, takes these sort of videos to a new level 👍
Thanks 👍 Just need to find a G force sensor next!
The absolute PERFECT RC Video!!
This was awesome I enjoyed the ride nice flying my friend😊
Thanks 👍

Thanks Swiwin! We're excited about using your turbine engines on our jet projects. Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)
Quality flight 💯 Roller coaster looks the business 😅
Awesome! Cant wait to do more with this project!!!
Whoop what sounds and views!🤙😺
I just put out a cockpit vid myself but yours is WAY cooler I think! NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! 😁👍
Thanks 😁
That was intense
Let's go to the real world game plane simulator.😂😂
Awesome video, loved it! Since the speed was in MPH, I assume the alt was in feet. In that case, anything over 400 would be a no-no in my country.
The flying site has an exemption up to 1600ft
Correct. Mph and feet
@Fidd88 Agree but we are where we are...and I'll stick on right side of the law but still have fun doing cool RC stuff safely.
If you are flying in a secluded place no one would know lol I live in west Virginia and my local police would care less how High I was flying
Very nice my friend! I would love to try this fpv jet!
Now this is what the rcsaylors need to start doing!!
🤣
Cool way to design a rollercoaster…very cool indeed ❤️
Thank you 🤗
Wish you had measured the g-forces during the flight, would have been interesting to see the results
Something will do more of in the future. I will be a lot more jet and fixed wing FPV projects in the near future and showing the telemetry.
Cool
POVomit FTW!!!
I thought that was quite a gentle flight !
Looks amazing! Did he take off and land with the goggles on?
No. He didn't fly at all with the FPV goggles on. I did all the flying LOS.
At the end lookd like a rollercoater lmao

Fpv turbo get!!!
nice!
Thanks!
🙌
I feel the need, the need FOR SPEED
That is very cool Dom, did you have that information in the goggles? The rollercoaster imagery of the flight path was also very cool.
Yes although needs improvement. First time out so learnt a lot and loads of changes to make to better the FPV flight experience.
If you die in the Matrix- do you die in real life?
How did you show altitude in google earth? I can see track but no altitude. How to set google earth?
why does the aircraft shudder at high speed high G turns?

@@EssentialRC Are you going to have a crack at the top speed FPV? currently 312mph.. Ultra flash with a 220 should smash that!
Yes 😎
@@EssentialRC Cool! will need some good RF range, level flight is 1km every 7 seconds.
How much does the Flash weigh fueled up?
How did you installed those two digital ALT and Speed indicator?
Used the data from the flight controller and fed it into RaceRender to put the telemetry into the video
Is this accurate? 240Mph?
Look like. Speed record for a model jet is somewhere around double that, and the airspeed record for RC model is higher again, held by a Slope Soarer Glider.
Is this your Favorite Hobby?
Oh yes!
@@EssentialRC cool, do you like drones too?
@@pigman17lp5 Don't dislike them but I spend most of my spare time building and flying aeroplanes...and mostly jets recently.
@@EssentialRC no no i like What you do, i just wanted to know if you liked drones too🙂
