UPDATE: I have now designed a new case with 2ManySynths that you can see here: ruclips.net/video/-GWQ3phCv3o/видео.html its totally different from this big one! Be sure to give 2 Many Synths & Modular Synth Lab some love. They are some really passionate and professional synth nerds. 2ManySynths bit.ly/bobeatsX2ManySynths Modular Synth Lab bit.ly/bobeatsXModularSynthLab (Disclosure: I got a discount for featuring the case. I don't get anything if you buy something from them. First, they take the dinglebop, and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches. They take the dinglebop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It’s important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice. Then a schlami shows up, and he rubs it and spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There’s several hizzards in the way. The blamfs rub against the chumbles. And the ploobis and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old plumbus. . . (Really enjoyed this but reminded me of this Rick and Morty episode so hard 🤣)
Anything worth doing is worth overdoing! I love the design. It leaves lots of space for expansion. I am in the office furniture business so I have two things to recommend. First, put some casters on that table! You going to want to move it and it going to be very heavy. It sure will make it easier to get behind for wiring purposes. Second, consider a lift system for the table. It would be useful to play it sitting or standing.
It is *awesome*. I have no other word for it. Just a thought about the positioning of the befaco hexmix and the hexpander. I don't think you can place them side by side. The ribbon between them is really thick/wide and forces the hexexpander to be placed above the mixer. I guess if you are creative you can get it done of course.
yeah I actually had someone else comment about it and I think you are right. If you check the new Modulargrid link in stickied comment you can see the new layout :)
Great video ! I made my own 9U 84 HP case using some poplar planks and it was a great experience ! Home made and custom made instruments really make it your own, you know that it is the only one in the world and it makes is really special !
Sorry to hear about you being unwell Bo mate. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Certainly is a BoDacious case. Awesome. You could use that crate as a trunk or coffee table.
Wow Bo😮, this is an awesome looking Beauty!!!! Great Work from all of your Partners and you!!! Hope to see more in the future.... Stay like you are and get healthy in full and bring us some good looking sounds...✌🏻 Greetz, Sven
Sweet - i'm building a larger wooden case myself by hand so was interested to see the process. On the build - Absolutely have the moogs in with that much space - they sound amazing !! Odd you don't have the Hexmix and HExander above and below as that is how they are designed. Would also not bother with teh dreadbox modules - but i guess u already have them ?
Happy for you Bo. I am also really happy you got such a wonderful wife that lets you make your dreams come true. Hope you feel better soon, and thank you for all the great tips over the years. ❤
It might cost more than your car but you can't drive to work in it :-) Awesome case and review as usual. I had a 128hp 12U case custom built. Not to such a high standard but it only cost £220. Power extra. Looking forward to seeing you making music with it.
Really enjoyed the video, but Bo my brother please take the time to get well. Take care brother and I'll be waiting on your next awesome video. Stay blessed from the Midi-olo-gist of Minnesota.
Other issue with plywood is it can be iffy with laser cutting. I have an 80W machine and even high quality plywood can give you fits. Solid wood is a lot easier to cut with the laser. I have a pair of Pittsburgh Modular cases which is really nice ply, but I’m sure it’s just saw cuts. Also the router maneuver to remove the laser char could risk chipping out on plywood. Nice case! As for the ripple, hrmm. Makes me wonder if there wouldn’t be a market for a module you can insert between the module and the case supply that does clean up for hyper sensitive modules? It would basically just take the rack power and regenerate it and then run thru some linear low drop out regulators. Also GWS man...
LOL I was wondering why he was rastering the thru-holes and then I realized he was using a raster operation to make the blind holes for the dowels! I’ve done something like this for brackets/hinges. You have to know your material well to do it though.
Hi Bo I'm sure you've done a video before but what are those soundproofing flat boards behind you to your left hand side? I'm looking to get some walls soundproofed and they look very stylish and not intrusive. Thanks 😁
Can anybody help me with something I’m desperate. I have a Korg Minilogue xd and a delay pedal. How do I hook the pedal to the synth to my studio monitors? Do I need a mixer? Or can I make it work with an audio interface or neither? I’m trying to leave the computer out of it. Thanks for the help!
It would be about 3000 euro for a case this size, including shipping and a custom crate. It would get cheaper with a smaller case as the shipping is alot of money.
GodSpeed Bo ! And wow - what a ....BIG biack bottomless rabbithole - it remind me of a furnace for burning - cash cash cash .....congratiolation......I think..... ;-). Get well , my friend ,- and play that funky music till you die..... ! By the way - I bought that OWox voice plugin from Wawes ,- and - it suddenly made my mono synth - go POLY ! Try it out , you'll be S U R P R I S E D ! its around 350 danish kroner ,- and another GREAT bargain is the Typhoon from DreadBox - its around 2500,- danish - and with the new updates - its AMAZING - I bought TWO , and chained them (Shoebridge tricked me into it ! ) together - into a radical , beautiful sounding 2 voices (well 4 with the subs) POWER Analog machine - Greetings and best regards from Copenhagen,- (I just see now , its an older clip , but what the heck , I still meant everything I said ;-). )
@@BoBeats The case and studio are beautiful. For me, they represent my journey in creating music. How much do I need and want? How much is too much? Is this fun for a moment or will I really use it? How long will it take to learn and interconnect with the studio? I'm learning I cannot have too many options or I struggle to create. Its better for me to limit, learn, practice and see what comes out. I want a space with vibe to do the creation, but if I go too big or have too much in it, doesn't go well.

Hey! it's awesome! Thanks for the video! Maybe, do you share your modulargrid link? thanks!
Glad you’re feeling better.
I’ll get that sorted soon
Oh no! Did you get COVID? I hope you recover soon and well.
Hope you feel 100% soon. The case looks beautiful. I hope it inspires and brings big joy and good chaos.
Sliiiiiiightly overkill = 100% necessary 😉
Glad you’re feeling better Bo 😃

Shouldn't it work with a longer ribbon cable?
"Black Sequencer" I find it works best on the far right/top: keeps cables away from the control interface, etc.
Beautiful case.
I just started building custom eurorack cases so this was a very inspiring video to watch! 🙏
Great video !
I made my own 9U 84 HP case using some poplar planks and it was a great experience !
Home made and custom made instruments really make it your own, you know that it is the only one in the world and it makes is really special !
2 Many Syths make great cases, however, it's a shame they don't make a flat travel case (6U 104hp) with lid.
i also spend hours on modulargrid to fine tune the arrangement befora screw everything in

There’s no going back now 🤣 glad to see you’re doing well my friend ❤️
Great interview Bo. Good to have youback. Glad you're feeling better
Get well soon @Bobeats 💐
Nice case, maybe 🤔 one day I’ll consider a modular rig. Thanks for all you do.
This is spectacular. It’s so cool to see all the craft going into this. Very inspiring!
If it's worth more than your car, it clearly shows your priorities are in the right order ;) Who needs a fancy car?
This is high quality content.
I believe the two Hexmix modules were designed to be arranged vertically, not next to each other.
Gorgeous case!
We all have felt into the rabbit hole eheh
Glad to have you back!
Stunning case Bo, absolutely stunning almost a shame to fill it with modules. Look forward to seeing what you do with it and your musical creations.
WOW!! So beautiful! I can't wait to see it full!
Nice case! Why don't you Live stream putting modules in?
Not a bad idea!
I hope you are healthy again soon Bo. Love your channel and your style. Congratulations on that beautiful case! Can't wait to see you fill it.
Wow Bo😮, this is an awesome looking Beauty!!!!

I’m feeling the joy in this new edition.. really cool..
Hope you are feeling better Bo! Lovely case- I want the one for Make Noise 0-coast and 0-ctrl when they are available.

Looks like a "möbel" :D, very nice finish. Cant wait to see some eurorack vids :)
Wow! Is your modular grid rack public? Love to see how you are organizing your modules. Such a beautiful case.
I will sort this :-)
@@BoBeats Thanks for this video. I woke up to sharing a little joy!

Im still watching whats going to be my first synth, I think its super cool

This is an amazing rack. I wonder who does this kind of custom work in the U.S. (west coast). There has to be options over here for that as well….
Really enjoyed the video, but Bo my brother please take the time to get well. Take care brother and I'll be waiting on your next awesome video. Stay blessed from the Midi-olo-gist of Minnesota.
Ok.. we like Arjan.

Cool Arjan!
Is there a lower noise alternative to the RT-65B (similarly priced)?
Good question! I dont know. Perhaps someone else has a good answer??
What an amazing piece of studio equipment, Bo! It will be so much fun to watch it evolve. Hope you feel better and get your strength back soon!

hey, check my studio tour + acoustic treatment video
Really cool Case! Thanks for sharing (:
Whoa for that price I would have bought a Buchla Easle or two at least.

hey Bo, nice to see you are up and about again. Will you make this case public viewable on MG?
If people want to sure!
how are you getting along with those power supplies?
Had zero issues so far. The wiring is done by a pro tho, so I think that has to be factored into it
I have now the arturia 37 ! Neutron and crave from behringer! Plus rd8 !!!! Behringer! Blut this is oooooö
"slightly overkill" haha I love it :)

How much would it be without discount?
It would be about 3000 euro for a case this size, including shipping and a custom crate. It would get cheaper with a smaller case as the shipping is alot of money.
Imagine the cost of filling up that entire rack, absolutely incredible!
$50K?
Holy cow
Crated up like the Lost Arc of the Covenant.
Just don’t lose it that massive warehouse.. 🤓😜
How much do those case cost?
That is a really nice Ford Mondeo :D
You need to get your patrons to donate enough modules to fill it!
Get well soon Bob :)
IKEA should contact Ajran :-)
you could build another case out of the packing material 👍🏻
That looks so beautiful, but I hope you feel better man. Have a lot of soup!
And we also get a look of BoBeeta, the wife of BoBeats!
How did you get so many rows on modular grid?
its a paid feature, their ”pro” service

now you have it at home and realize that you use it (only) as "library"....is this an ouch?
You’re like, Colin Benders...hold my beer.
the racks on the market are way too expensive, considering the minimal amount of work going into them and the large quantities.
Very very nice 😀
now I know much better why my case have a delay.. because Arjan have no time to build. he's busy with making videos.... buhhh
😅😅😂
