Erm ... first one is a diminished arpeggio not scale and second one is a diminished scale , ( one of 2 )not half diminished as that would be a minor 7 flat 5 .. which is Locrian mode. But I know what you mean , best to get terminology right if your teaching though . Whole tone scale ... yes ..correct ... 😁😁 Augmented (5th) Boom 💥

Augmented triads and inversions fit perfect in the whole tone scale. It is super cool sounding and it's just one shape all the up the neck.
Ive been tryin to buy 1 of those exact guitars for like 2yrs. And no1 has them! So frustrating. I love it! Its badass!
