I am joined by Shar Dundred for a cooperative playthrough of Dawn of War II. This sequel is a stark divergence from the original entry and expansions of the build & destroy variety. Instead, the players choose the units to be used prior to beginning a mission, cannot build new units once the mission begins, and has only limited reinforcement options.

“How are you firing a gun the size of you from the hip with such accuracy?”
    *Flexes mechanical hand*
    “Bionics son”

Castor being able to drop a whole tank onto the battlefield sounds super dope.

Hell yeah you are going for Autocannons!
Yes the Medpack heals for a good amount, it is just that the health bars are for the entire squad as Shar says, so a low health bar could also mean everyone in the squad is dead except for one full health squad member. Lord Castor has an upgrade that also allows his Valkyrie to heal as well as reinforce, saves the trouble of trying to figure out whether a squad needs healing or reinforcement.

Now Castor can casually air drop a tank into the battlefield (even if you don't have Lemans unlocked; keep in mind that the air-dropped Leman will still be subject to unlocked upgrades though, so no Vanquisher or Executioner upgrades yet).
This probably comes too late, so it's more a bit of advice for everyone else: It's still worth putting a little exp into heroes that you're replacing with honour guard, because some level up perks will buff their honour guard replacements. In my last run through of the Space Marine campaign, I ditched Cyrus early (since they nerfed everything good about him) but gave him all the exp boosting bonus mission rewards to upgrade the Assault Terminators that replace him (I was doing a Terminators-only run).

In this episode: THIS QUIET OFFENDS SLAANESH! THINGS SHALL GET LOUD NOW!
Technically, Noise Marines do get a cooler name, just not in this game. In Horus Heresy, they’re named Kakophoni. Much better sounding name, if you ask me.

In case you guys didn't catch the Noise Trooper gimmick, yes they are essentially Flame Troopers, but unlike Flamers, they don't suppress but instead they suppress your ability to shoot range, forcing infantry to go melee and range-only infantry stop shooting, includes your heroes of course.

Aurelia got sucked into warp, then spat back out, for the dow2 storyline basically. Nasty things happen to planets and those upon it if they get sucked into warp...
Don't dismiss autocannon just yet, while it may not pack the same punch as missile/lascannon, it can still delete heavy infantry and vehicles. It does replace the heavy bolter of the weapons team tho, keep that in mind, I'd say chaos havocs and champion hero get the better autocannon.
Noise marines, their sonic weapons in lore burst eyeballs organs and tear you apart from all the high frequency and vibrations(pun not intended) said weapons produce upon impact. They don't function as flame weapons as they are shown here. Same applies for their upgrade heavy that is the blastmaster (here works the same as plasma cannon but with added riff sound for cool factor), and if playing chaos here, very good vs garrisons and static/slow moving stuff.
Lastly a bit on the guard laser weapons, they are derogatorily in-universe called flashlights bcs all other stuff is way deadlier, the stuff stormtroopers use(not using the idiotic tempestus scions gw decided to name them instead) are more powerful and able to pierce power armor(pre-8th), they also have a lmg-like version too(called hotshot volley-gun, the assault kit upgrade can be taken as equipping entire squad with those, they do tend to overheat).
Edit to add: that chaos marine (the one Jay would say "taunts"), sounds a lot like certain Steve the voice actor (you-know-who).
Edit to add pt2: fun fact, the BONE in bone 'ead stands for Bionic Ogryn Neural Enhancer/Enhancement(or bone for short). Ogryns in general are very stupid (not their fault, they evolved on high gravity worlds where physical strength and bulk were more useful for survival than intelligence). Said enhancement is given to those deemed smarter than their fellow ogryns, still it won't do much to make them as smart as average baseline human in-universe tho.

I do wonder if commisar Bern its actually commisar Yarrick in disguise

Doubtful, Yarrick doesn't lead by executing, but by example, like all the best commisars do.
